If Sonnia or any other model for that matter flips a damage flip that involves a blast marker, and the initial target prevents all the damage (w/ Soulstone) are the blast markers still placed?

Soulstone damage prevention isn't performed until after the damage flip is resolved.  Quoting part of the text:

Masters and Henchman have an additional defense against damage. After determining how much damage the Master or Henchman model would take, but before applying the damage, the model may spend a Soulstone to make a damage prevention flip.  The player flips a single card, which cannot be cheated, and reduces the damage according to the following table:

What you're reducing is the amount of damage that is going to be applied to the master or henchman.  At that point the attacker has flipped for damage, determined that it's a result with a blaster, placed the blast markers from that flip, and is resolving the damage in the order the attacker determined.

In other words, when you're using soul stones to prevent damage, the blast markers have already been placed.

Good Question..   I would say yes they are still placed if the :blast was part of the damage flip.

If the :blast was part of the trigger that stated after damaging then no.

Just to say, all the triggers that I can thinkof that add blast damage, just add the blast damage to the attack profile, so they would apply. The blast markers are part of the moderate or severe damage effect, and just because the initial target took 0 damage, that doesn't change the severity of the damage flip.
