Insidiously Mad
This would make three straight weekend of Malifaux for me... will have to decide closer to the event. But always enjoy your events so will hopefully be there

dmarkham
https://www.facebook.com/events/838125836306643/ i've added the event on facebook, and passed the details over to the webteam to get tickets created. I'd imagine they'll be up by the end of the week.

Vorbeck
Hi I am thinking of attending this event but I have never been to a Malifaux tournament before. I have played a few games of Malifaux and feel confident with the rules but not sure if there is anything else I need to know before signing up. Sorry if this seems a daft question. Clousseau
Hi I am thinking of attending this event but I have never been to a Malifaux tournament before. I have played a few games of Malifaux and feel confident with the rules but not sure if there is anything else I need to know before signing up. Sorry if this seems a daft question. What you need to kmow is that these events accomodate all levels of experience and skill. So, don't expect to win all your games, but do expect a friendly crowd and the opportunity to learn a lot in just a few games. Most players are very helpful to new players, will explain how their crew is working and maybe even give you a few tips.I look forward to meeting you. Vorbeck
Thank you for the reply. I don't expect to win my games I expect to be competing for the wooden spoon. I am just want to have a good time and play some malifaux and hopefully learn a few things. I have brought a ticket now and looking forward to it.
OldManMyke
If you are able to, there is a Malifaux event running at the same venue next Sunday (25th) If you can why not come along and meet some of the folks, hang out and maybe play a game as well? Vorbeck
I would love to but I am in Brussels then. Thank you for asking though I really appreciate it. I know I haven't been to an event yet but it seems a friendlier scene than I have experienced before from the replies I have had so far. OldManMyke
The scene is fantastic, best gaming scene I have been involved in over the last 30 years. Sure we have our mini wobbles and the odd bout of angst but who doesn't. Whilst I won't be at Gunsmiths this year - problem with a growing scene is that you get multiple events on the same day - I run 4 events a year at Wayland so hopefully will see you at one of those - have a great time at Gunsmiths though
Vorbeck
Sounds brilliant I am sure I will get to one of your events and look forward to meeting you.
dmarkham
Will definitely be good to see a new face.As David has kindly posted up the Strategies and deployment types in advance it may be worth having a think about what your likely to want to run, with a little room for some tweaking when you know what strategies you'll be going for and what your facing. I tend to take the same crew regardless, and decide on a whim if I'll mix it up a bit each game, but a sort of plan seems like it might be alot better
Vorbeck
Thanks for the advice I will try to have a plan although I am sure it will go out the window once I start playing.
SurreyLee
Hi Dave, I'm trying to work on a pass for this. Vorbeck
One of my friends is interested in this as well and it would be his first tournament too. He is just checking that he is available and then will get a ticket if he is.

Clousseau
Dave, I won't know til likely the day before. Is it a turn up and play kind of deal? ie no number restrictions?Yes, that's fine. Good thing about Wayland is there's no restriction on tables, and I always pack some extra terrain. Clousseau
As there is a link between Lost Love and Gunsmiths (my two tournaments at Wayland) there will be a small prize for the best improver (position-wise) will get a (small) prize. This puts Peter Sheppard as the favourite for this, followed by Claire & Spoons.
