  12. We currently have 29 players who have purchased tickets. They have now been disabled from the website, but you can still get them on the day. This is because I'm off, and the guys in the store don't have access to the ticket sales data. Looks like it will be a good turn out.
  13. I think for this format to reach its full potential, you'd need to invite teams of Stereotypes from around the world, and play 80's pop, whilst showing slowmo shots of people flipping their cards.
  14. Mike Marshall Maria Wieland James Reeves Mark Elwood Marcus Rose Michael B Hutchinson Klas Swanljung Philip Hawtin Ross Baker Ashley Cleaver Nick Featherstone Simon Matless Adam lake David Laing Troy Ashdown Craig Johnson Ben Sime Joel Henry Peter Shepherd Graeme Nicholls Richard bowker Tom Thorpe x3 David Brown Aaron Bowey Paul Dean Anthony Fenton Tim Brown Josh Leak If you have purchased a ticket, and your name isn't on this list, please email me dmarkham@waylandgames.co.uk with details of your purchase and I will look into it for you. I'll check the ticket sales every week or two, so if you purchase one from now, and it takes a little while to get updated then no need to worry [though still feel free to email me if you want to].
  15. in order to summon 2 piglets you'd have to have piglet in the pool twice, Similarly if Ramos wanted to summon 3 spiders he'd need 3 spiders in his pool. Basically it does give summoner over 20ss to play with [for example dreamer being a summoner means you've spent a max of 35ss on models from your pool, as his upgrade isn't declared in the pool which means he actually can get 25ss more than his crews starting size]. Once a model dies, it can be re-summoned, however if you wanted to summon multiples of the same model, then you would need multiples in the pool to start with. The aim of this is to give new players a taste of playing with a pool of figures, that they can mix between in different matches, whilst not having such a large pool that it is intimidating for a new player. I know a number of experienced players are planning to attend and all seem to be keeping with the "use a new crew" mentality, from those I've spoken with
  16. Hope everyone has a great festive period, and gets lots of wyrd goodies under their tree this christmas. We've got a good number of new players signed up so far, hopefully I will see some of you at the event, although I have a new baby due very soon, so depending on when she decides to make an appearance could affect if I might have to wait till love lost to catch up with some of you. See you in the new year
  17. https://www.facebook.com/events/537669656390240/ This is a totally free event. Check out the above facebook event for more details, but we are hosting a Malifaux meet up and Demo day at the Wayland Games Centre on the 19th december. This is a great chance to get together over the holiday period and play some games. If numbers and interest are there I will run this as a proper tournament on the day for those who want some structure to their games, whilst there will be plenty of space for pick up a play games, as well as Demo's for new players in the store throughout. If you do know anyone who hasn't quite made the plunge yet, why not bring them down, and they can get a demo with staff while you join in the days gaming. My Mcmourning awaits those who dare oppose him [although technically not 2016 yet im going to get an early start on the ressers as I have a Baby due at the start of the year] Of course as always there is plenty of space in the gaming hall for other games, so if you fancy a game of guildball, warhammer ancients or anything else for that matter on the day then feel free to arrange games of any system you like.

  20. Welcome to Malifaux is a 40ss fixed master event, designed to give new players an easy way into the events scene, as well as provide a different challenge and excuse to get together for games for existing players. It has a 60ss pool [excluding upgrades] from which players hire their crews at the start of each round. This is a 3 round event, with players given 2.5 hours per round to complete their games. Players will initially be paired by experience level, so new players will be paired against other new players to start with. Tickets for the event cost £10, however players receive free entry when buying a new crew box in store over December or January. If you want to get your ticket on the day, an benefit from the free ticket by getting a crew box you can always email dmarkham@waylandgames.co.uk and I can see about reserving the crew box for you [no guarantees though, I should be able to give you more detail when you email]. This should nicely feed into the Malifaux year, with events like Love Lost, the Showdown series and more to be confirmed at the Gaming Centre throughout the year. Round 1 starts at 10:30 address 17 Eldon way, Hockley, Essex, SS5 4AD For more details check out the Centre's Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/waylandgamescentre/ Tickets: http://www.waylandgames.co.uk/module/eventsmanager/Events?event_id=440#.Vl9QN3bhCUk
  21. Will definitely be good to see a new face. As David has kindly posted up the Strategies and deployment types in advance it may be worth having a think about what your likely to want to run, with a little room for some tweaking when you know what strategies you'll be going for and what your facing. I tend to take the same crew regardless, and decide on a whim if I'll mix it up a bit each game, but a sort of plan seems like it might be alot better
  22. For anyone in the Essex area, or who are willing to travel to get in their games of Malifaux there is a shifting Loyalties Campaign starting up on the 18th. It will run up to Christmas, with the intention of running it straight from the book. This means players will need a 35ss crew including henchman[paid for from ss] to start off with. There are players of varying skill levels taking part, including some brand new and squeaky clean to the game. https://www.facebook.com/events/1024997324217073/ Sunday is the main focus, with each weeks worth of events being decided on the Sunday. Players are encouraged to turn up on Sunday afternoon if they can, but we know life gets in the way so its not a requirement [nor in fact is turning up every week]. Games can be arranged to be played on any other time the venue is open. If you pop down to the centre, ask for Dan, and i'll make sure you get introduced to the other players.
  23. 10 tickets sold so far, so potentially 22 more, and if we had a surge we could put on more if we need to I'm going to prod the local players as well as at least 4 of them have said they are intending to attend, and a few more who can probably be persuaded.
  24. https://www.facebook.com/events/838125836306643/ i've added the event on facebook, and passed the details over to the webteam to get tickets created. I'd imagine they'll be up by the end of the week.
  25. We'll he definitely got a testing in a field with 3 Leveticus players I think Lucius is a harder master to get the most out of then other masters, doesn't make him worst but much more likely that a misplay will cost you. Also as he is about maximising the rest of his crew, if you make mistakes in selection it can make things harder. Means you must have played well.
