Oz - Rampage Games
Hi All So, a question came up. I recognise that when a stalker does a nomral attack the enemy gains burning +1.....does this also happen when the model explodes and inflicts one damage to models within x? Situational example....Punk Zombie smacks Witching Stalker killing it...triggering the demise bit (models within 2 take 1 damage) would the ability of whenever take damage, gain burning +1? Or is the general conseus that is only on attack actions? Thanks in advance
dgraz
It's when it does damage........so yes, even when it explodes.

ArcticPangolin
All Punk Zombies should be set on fire.
Uktena
The explosive demise ability is printed on the stalker's card, so it is considered the controller of the ability. Therefore as far as the rules are concerned, the stalker is doing the damage. Add the burning condition!
EnternalVoid
It can also lead to funny case with Sonnia and Hopkins when you opponent is all happy to have you pop his Stalker with your master and he is all excited by the burning... only for you to use a SS to prevent the 1 damage and not gain any burning as it is after damaging. He had set it up all beautifully but as clear as day so it could be seen a mile away. He ended up waiting most of Sonnia and Hopkin's actions that turn which helped me alot. (Sarcasm)
@EternalVoid The ability of any model to remove ALL burning for a 1 action does seem like a huge weakness for Sonnia if she is trying to hurt big targets. I know that ever-burning deals with this somewhat...

MasterDisaster
Check the rulebook again on the Burning condition: the (1)Interact action that anyone can take lowers the Burning condition by one, it doesn't remove all of it. This. Basically (1) Interact = -1 Burning and NOT remove the entire condition. The only way to remove ALL Burning is within condition removal such as the Witchling Stalker's Dispell Magic or Johan's Rebel Yell.
(Sarcasm)
My mistake, I confused the part stating that all the burning comes off after it damages the model and the part about removing '1' burning using an (1) interact.
