Ikvar
Can anyone help me find an insidious madness proxy? I normally love Wyrds sculpts, but I really dont like the old insidious madness, and seeing as it is a wave 2 model, there will most likely go some time before a new one comes out. So it would be awsome if you guys could help me find two models I could use instead. I am going to order from this site: http://www.firestormgames.co.uk/ So if you could find it there, you would be even more awsome! ^^
StaticVortex
I thought there were rules on being unable to use models from another company as proxy...that the model needed to be a certain percentage Wyrd in the case of mods, or scratch built. (please correct me if I have misunderstood this) For Insidious Madness, it looks to be a tentacle type monster, which could be adapted easily in green stuff and perhaps add a sort of ethereal. As I am typing this, I now want to go build one for my third...has me thinking.
MasterDisaster
Probably not an ideal choice but the first thing that springs to mind when I see the Insidious Madness model is Pink Horrors or Flamers of Tzeentch from GW's Daemons range http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-TBkNZsdyf_Q/TlEJaX2PxcI/AAAAAAAAB-A/r25JYkfCJxw/s1600/GW4.jpg http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-zo5KUdAmK6g/UGV7iWwudoI/AAAAAAAABX0/7XIL046l8qQ/s1600/101_0138.JPG Scale wise they might be larger than the normal ones but they will certainly fit on a 30mm base. Perhaps it would help if you let us know what you are looking for in an Insidious Madness proxy we can help more?
Ikvar
In the area I am Henchman, we have a rule that the model just needs to look like the model you proxy. So when I set the proxy on the board, there should be no doubt which model I am trying to proxy
The Godlyness
A beholder from dnd. Green stuff more eyes. Slather paint bam looks pretty maddening to me. http://www.wizards.com/DnD/Product.aspx?x=dnd/products/dndmin/282940000
Rameses
I planned on using this Reaper Miniatures Shoogath model
ehren37
Fenris Games sculpted the Flying Polyp and Dimensional Shambler for Cthulhu Wars, so those might work when they get released.
Therril_83
I'm going to be using this model as a second Insidious Madness. I don't have a problem with the current one, but I really like this model so I was searching for something to proxy it as Also, I have to point out, I haven't painted mine yet so this one is not mine
Clement
I forget who, but at one point I know someone had cut the insidious madness model in half. It definitely improved the look and it should be tourney legal since its all insideous madness and original sculpt.
