Rasputina is happy, all my Frozen Heart models are finally painted and based. These three gals should count for 20 SS.
The purple cape was my first freehand attempt, I followed a tutorial linked from Rust&the city's blog.

These are the best Goryos I've seen! I was going to ask about your highlights too, they look great. I have the fluorescent yellow paint you mentioned, I might try to glaze it over my turquoise Sorrows when I get to them.

Very nice! I am a big fan of your bright green skintones

Here's my Wendigo for 3 SS, which means that I finished my first Malifaux crewbox 😀 I am really happy with how he turned out.

I saw a great conversion on A Wyrd Place FB group. Pukey worm was converted into a branch on a tree. It looked really good.
Another one I liked used a transparent third-party mini, but it could be done with the official one too. It was a water elemental coming out of a stone well.
Or you could put tentacles all around, making it look like a creepy octopus.

I finally finished my Coraline Candy for 9 stones! I painted her like she was wearing a yellow raincoat and boots with jeans. I am quite happy with the Kill Bill blood effect 😀
I have a hard time taking photos with my phone, I'll try to take pics of the two terrain pieces I made (a fountain and a clock tower) with my partner's phone later.
And here she is! Innocence incarnated:
I also started Wendigo, which was my only unpainted creature mini, but forgot about the deadline like so many others. However, I wouldn't have painted him without the contest and he only needs highlights, so it was still good to try to participate 😆
@Chou you have quite a lot of minis going on! They all look very promising, Ama with her vibrant colours is my favourite.

@Purple Mist @H4ml3t : Thanks ! The garden is pretty good because it will allow us to have severe terrain in my city spaces :). On the roof of my Mansion, a little bit of metal paint was mixed with the color i wanted to give this aspect. The green spot is some basing stuff, yes.

Tara for her model and Lovecraftian feel. I am severely tempted to embrace the void.
Ulix for a board full of pigs: tiny pigs, huge pigs, flying pigs, dead pigs...
Reva, because she has a pony. *Clippity-clop-clippity-clop*
Kirai, or more specifically her TOS version. Such a nice mini!

Question for the group:
Beforelong I will be working on the Autumn Knights. There is some really cool looking moss in my yard that would look great on their bases. Is there any way to use real moss on a base?
There is a technique for preserving moss and lichen by cooking them in a glycerine solution and then letting them dry. Glycerine should let them keep their elasticity, so they wouldn't dry out and and break. I wanted to try last summer, but never got down to it.
@Caedrus I am a fan of your Raspy crew. The colour scheme is limited, but contrasted enough to make the minis pop. I can't believe you painted them so fast 😲

You could make a huge snowman from green stuff. It would fit the theme perfectly

Terrain wise, I want to paint a clock tower and finish my fountain. Maybe try making some water/mud difficult terrain piece with leftover epoxy.
And if the fate smiles on me, I'll base and finish my December Acolytes. I swear those minis are cursed, waiting for months and months 😃

@Piccio You are a wizard! I'd have needed days and she wouldn't be be half as good. Great job 😲
@Boomstick They are really cute and the different colours in their fur make them stand out.
@Joachim Great detail on the book. I also like the trim on the coat, it adds a nice pop of colour to it.@Aa7 Wonderful choice. Always love to see my fav ice witch 😍
@Burnin' Coal Those wings are so lifelike! If you are willing to share more details on how you painted the veins, I am sure we'd be all ears -
I finished two houses for 10 SS.
My fountain project with resin pour went horribly wrong when adding the last finishing touch at midnight a few days ago. Don't work on your stuff at night, go to bed and save yourself lots of grief, fellow hobbyists! I managed to salvage it, but there are things I'll need to repair. Wet gel medium and freshly cured resin aren't friends. Live and learn.
At least my houses turned out OK, an old distillery selling questionable liquor and a red downtown house. I am pretty happy with the distillery, it was a lot of fun to put together. I guess I might need Brewmaster now though ;)- 6

The orange pumpkins contrast nicely with teal and your dirty snow bases are top notch. Looking forward to seeing the complete crew!

Thank you and yes, it is
I used the colour that the burlap sack was painted with and added a little bit of blue and diluted it slightly more than normaly - same technique that I used for the tattoo.I am not a fan of these sculpts, but you made them interesting with tartan and the belly stamp. Really great job, if I ever get them, I'll try to do something similar.

I'll finish my Candy Coraline and ideally paint Lilitu and Baby Kade.
See-through dress, here I come!

An ice witch and a ghost walk into a bar...
Here's my Rasputina (big thanks to @Franchute for the denim tutorial, it was really inspiring and helpful) and the first Sorrow. Candy is almost done too, but I didn't quite have the time to finish her scissors and her base. Next month!
But the most fun I had was my first piece of terrain ever. It was my birthday this month and I received a couple of houses from TTCombat. After obsessing about the feel I was going for, I raided the recycling bin and made a roof out of a milk bottle and pizza cardboard. So much fun! I might even prefer building terrain to minis
That makes it 20SS for Raspy and Sorrow. I don't know how terrain is counted, but it's enough for my tiny Minion pledge anyway.

In no particular order in the close future
- paint metal Candy and Kade
- paint three metal Sorrows
- finally finish Raspy's pants, ideally learn to paint denim, make her a cool base and call it a day
- try Green stuff for the first time and build a Hooded Rider from a GW armored horse and a Crooligan
-
build Iggy from another Crooligan

@PetitDalek Hahaha weeping angels! "Blink" is IMO the scariest episode in the entire rebooted series. Great concept, very well executed. I respect the time and effort you put into your bases! They look fantastic. A bit of unsolicited C&C :-) is on Teddy's tummy. The rest of the model (including the heart itself) looks like it's got the standard overhead lighting source but the highlighting on the checkers looks like it's lit from the upper left of the photo. I'd expect the dark areas on the left-hand checkers to be on the left-bottom side - essentially mirror images of the right-hand checkers.
Thank you! I felt something was wrong with the tummy, but couldn't put my finger on it. I am still pretty new, so I miss technical details like this. I followed a tutorial for painting floor tiles and now see why it didn't translate well. I'll try to correct it

Here are my 14 SS for January.
I painted the cherub as a Weeping Angel. They are Doctor Who monsters that hang around cementeries pretending to be statues until you look away and then they get you from behind. Seemed fitting I also made him a bright pink arrow, because it's the colour of loooove.
And here's my second mini of the month, the one and only Teddy! His eyes look a bit weird from this angle but he's OK in person. My boyfriend called the poor sweetheart "nightmare fuel". He's got no taste
PS: Sorry for the photo quality, I took them on my phone and it burned the highlights. I'll experiment with a better set up in February.- 14

Here's my first pledge. Coming from boardgames, this is my first time building a mini, so I chose an easy one to practise. It's much harder than I thought, I need to get hang of using the plastic cement without melting the details or leaving gaps. My bottle of Vallejo's liquid putty came in handy. TBC...

PDF invoices are fine, as long as it shows the date of purchase, amount spent, and that it was picked up!
Thank you for responding to my question, Kimberly! I ordered online and submitted the pdf invoice that says it will be picked up
It's my first time participating and I'm excited about my alt draught, future hipster Johan

Thanks! It's my favourite colour, so it represents about 20 % of my paint stock
I used mostly Green Blue and Turquoise (Prince August) for middle tones and Arcane Blue (P3) for highlights. I sometimes add some Turquoise ink (P3) or Fluorescent Yellow (Prince August) for a more saturated green-tinted finish. I am a big fan of Arcane Blue, it's a very nice paint to work with and easy to blend.
