Barbaros is there to help reposition people into the "danger zone", and also to hunt down their scheme runners if needed. Nekima is already in the list, as she already strikes fear in the local opponents. So I guess the question becomes, Doppleganger or Mr. Graves. I am leaning more towards Killjoy over the Hooded Rider, just because I already have him (Carver) and would need to seek out a hooded rider somewhere. Lilith, Nekima and Mature Nephilim are givens, with Killjoy as a very close auto-include.

Ok, bear with me for a minute... I am looking to make an elite killing squad to run when I don't feel like unpacking a bunch of models (Collodi). Here are my thoughts so far... Lilith with Beckon Malifaux and Wicked Mistress Nekima Barbaros Mature Nephelim which leaves me with 13 points. I can either run Killjoy (nicely painted Carver) or Hooded Rider plus Fears Given Form on Nekima. Again, keep in mind that I am looking to drop an elite killing crew on the table, preferably keeping it at 5 models. Who would you run as your fifth model, and what upgrades would you toss in if extra points are available. Looking forward to hearing your answers. Thanks.

What Broken Clock said. I might need to get my hands on some new models... In an unrelated question, any idea what time this is expected to end? I am coming from out of town, and want to try and arrange a ride.

I was in the same boat as the OP, and that I found most of the Masters unappealing. I was initially drawn to Viktorias and Marcus (Viktorias because of the look and raw power, Marcus because he can take all the beasts). While I was trying to choose between the 2 of them, I happened across a great Neverborn lot deal that I couldn't turn down. I then had a Viktoria list fall into my lap (crew box, Vanessa and Hans). As much as I love the Neverborn (Pandora and Collodi mostly), I can't wait to surprise one of my regular opponents with a fully painted Viktoria list out of nowhere. Even then, I have been picking up Mercenaries to pad out my options. It just happens to be a bonus that most of them are Outcasts to start. Play the cool shit, and mess with people's heads. I know Viktoria aren't a great take-on-all-comers Master, but I'll have fun hacking apart their pieces in the meantime.

This^ I am hoping another Tara player can shed some light on this Thank you Azrrael. I had seen something similar that had a Death Marshall in there to drop both The Nothing Beast and Scion of the Void onto something at the end of your turn, unburying both of them (hopefully after they are out of activations, and you can use them back-to-back and then win the next initiative). Not sure if it would be worth taking out 1 Void Wretch and the Malifaux Child (not sure what he adds to this/don't have the card in front of me right now) to add in a Death Marshall.

Hello Outcasts. There is a high likelihood that I will be getting Tara's crew box (either one of the special editions or the regular one), and I have seen snippets of people talking about a Void Wretch spam list. I was wondering if anyone has actually played this before and has tips/tricks, or if it is merely all theoryfaux at this point. Thank you for your help.

so then how does the Autumn Knights' slow work? since it doesn't trigger until a model begins their activation engaged with a Knight, when would slow ever affect them?

If a model already activating receives the Slow condition, it is applied to their next activation, as their AP has already been generated at the start of their activation. Not sure if this also applies to Paralyzed though. (we had the Slow part come up yesterday in a game)

I have already recognized the Envy possibilities (and listed him in my opening post along with Lazarus and the Trapper. I am also curious as to what Bishop would help bring to Neverborn, as he seems like a melee beater; something we have in spades.

Thanks ringsnake. I have a couple of Beckoners already, but I prefer the Lure with Lilitu. I'll have to take another look at the Oiran in the books, to see if they can find a home with one of the Masters. Killjoy is on the shortlist for sure. For a while, I thought Aionus was just a promo model, because no one talked about him. Could help against anyone that buries models.

First time post from a new player. I have lucked my way into a decent Neverborn army, featuring Collodi, Pandora, Titania and Lilith (which is good, because I am not that interested in Zoraida, Lynch or Lucius). I will eventually pick up The Dreamer as well, but I feel like I have a good starting point. My question to the Neverborn masses is what Mercenaries should I be looking for? From skulking in the forums already, I know of Lazarus, Freikorps Trapper and Envy off the top of my head, but want to know what other Mercenary models you would suggest. Help me purge the humans off of our land.
