  1. I would like to know what is so good about Broken Man's Lasso. I only see a Master's action for a 4" Push and maybe Staggered. What I'm missing? What are the tricks I can't see?
  2. The real solution: fix Drop It so the one controlling the placement of the marker is the attacker.
  3. And I've played Bishop and has been a Rock star for me. And also Winged Plague had been okay in my games, but that doesn't mean they weren't garbage.

  5. Nice to hear that. I was just thinking about WP been a little bit better at scheming and spreading blight, but not sure if still good enough with their extreme squishyness. Still have to play them and also the Drachen, but hard to know when I'm gonna face a heavy condition or marker crew.

Wong gains +1Df, is inmune to triggers, gain +1 stat in his melee, a new trigger on his bonus that heals and gives glowy tokens, can do his main attack while engaged and can remove (redeploy) any kind of marker, but since his main attack don't put injured, he's worse and has been nerfed. I got it right?
  7. Not sure if joking. Moleman, Queller and Drachen needed buff, because they were really bad. Quite worse than Bishop or Yasunori indeed. Maybe Barbaros didn't need the buff, and Desperate Mercenary or Outcast Upgrades (specially Soldier for Hire, although still think the only useful upgrade there is Servant of Dark Powers) were in deeper need of some love. I can only speak about Outcast because is the faction I know the most, but I'm tired of facing Marcus and, while I agree on his crew not needing any buff, Moleman were pretty bad. Also Cerberus should have been nerfed.
  8. I've seen a small mouse make a 200+lb man make a successful Leap action in real life, so I'm very confident in the capabilities of a medium-dog sized Malifaux Rat.
  9. So Drachen, Barbaros and Winged Plague buffed. What are your thoughts? Mi first reaction was: Why Barbaros? He wasn't exactly bad. Then why any change in Desperate Mercenaries or upgrades? I really like new Drachen role, key to remove markers. Also like new Winged Plague, and their new improved mobility.
  10. Since you're mostly beating Outcast, our winrate is not changing, don't worry. The problem I see is that, kidnapping is the ONLY strong thing Tara2 does. At this point, I would prefer the ban of 33 and a bit of improvement on Tara2.
  11. On the other hand, paying a tax of 7ss you can spend Tara's whole activation to bury one single enemy model almost anywhere in the table. That model doesn't suffer damage, but it's heavily vulnerable to Obliteration crew. Sincerely, that sounds like a strong Master's activation, but broken? Not so sure.
  12. Well, she's worse at burying enemy models, can't summon and has lost her awesome mobility and double activation. The echo markers mechanics seems fun, but IMHO far from powerful, and her other action is like a pseudo-worse obey. So with her actions she can: Walk Attack with a mediocre attack (for a master) with a single un-suited trigger. Attack with a strange action that "pins" The targer to a certain point, and can heal it or damage ir to give it fast. Give a general or action to other model. This can also unbury friendly models, but then they gain slow. Apart from this, she can take damage and remove conditions on enemies to force them to activate later. Sincerely, doesn't seem to me like a Master-caliber profile.
  13. Maybe. What I mean is that I don't have at all the feeling that she's specially strong... but for that trick. I'm simply trying to see what she can do if 33 is not on the table, and frankly don't see anything very special.

  15. I was slightly disagreeing with this, until the image of 7 rats swarming a Master and doing 14 attacks with stat 9 and 3/4/4 damage came to my mind xD. I don't think big changes should be done to bad models, becausr it would rocket the problem to the other side IMHO. In the Beta, Desperate Mercs used to have a Clockwork Rifle and they where way over the top. Desperate Mercenaries would probably be fine just with a 2/3/4 gun. Winged Plague with Fly with Me was my go-to from the beginning. They would still be squishy, but more useful than now. Not sure about Bandidos getting Stealth would be good. HtK is the easy solution, although maybe some change to their trigger to add damage reduction could also do the job. Agree with the to attack. In fact, they should lose the knife and gain Gunfighter. Freikorpsmann are an all-around model, so they seem fine as they are, although I would love to see on them the same than the Catalan Riflemem (For the Corps!). Regarding the Void Wretches, they also seem a bit weak for me. Being a summonable model doesn't turn them okay. Although I think the same about the Void Hunters. They look to me a bit short on everything they do to cost what they cost. The problem with abominations is not their profile. 5 wounds HtW minion that heals himself and interrupt enemy healing is nice enough, but they simply don't add many usefulness to their crew.
  16. TBH, I've played very little with Obliteration, so my opinion should be taken with a grain of salt, but I indeed think Aionus's cost is a bit too high for his value on the table. I would change a bit Sever Timeline to give it range (maybe 6") And allow it to target unburied models. Then Bury or Unburt the target. So it would be a reliable way to bury enemies without resistance flips. But, again, I've not played enough games to value him accurately. Maybe it's simply I've still haven't learned how to play him properly.
  17. In fact, you don't need to win the duel to declare Fleeting Moments, so with a 1-2 you gain 2 pass tokens. Although I agree with the action being useless without the trigger... unless you want to unbury something, of course.
  18. Agree with some love for this model, but not sure how. First it already has 6 abilities, and I haven't seen any model with more than 6, son there's not the place to make changes. Defense 3 is stupid, but I doubt increasing its Def to 4 or 5 would make this model really better. I think the big problem with this model is that it's supposed to be a brawler, but it does little damage unless he damages himself, wich decreases highly its survivability. Unlikely other Undead models, this model hasn't more wounds than its cost, but this model harm itself to do things, and doesn't gain so much for its wounds. So it can be more or less as tough as other brawlers, but doing less damage, or he can do more or less the same damage than other brawlers, but turning significantly squishier than other brawlers. All at the same cost. I think the key is its attack, maybe change it for Huge Fists, or change the In-built Necrotic Decay for an in-built Siphon Life. Also agree on this, but I think maybe 7ss is too good. I've been hating this model since release of M3E, but I must admit every time I've hired one it has make a quite good job. Feel to me like a 7.5ss model. I would like to see his stat going up to 6, and maybe change his Df trigger to something always happening instead of only against (and maybe in-built). Another option could be reduce his damage to 2/3/4 and his cost to 7... Or keep him at 8 and give him Rapid Fire. I would prefer to change its Grit ability for Rapid Fire, although giving him a attack with high damage also sounds sweet (a good target for Pull from Von Schill) Agree with Taelor needing something (mostly, a rework on Welcome to Malifaux to make it work) but not on Bishop. I think he's mostly fine. Not sure why should he have more movement than the rest of the troops. While I agree with Flamethrower ignoring cover (and concealment TBH), I don't think it should ignore FF or shoot when engaged. What I would like to see is the Flamethrower ignoring cover and concealment, doing Burning +3, gaining the Smolder and Burn It All triggers. And Burn It Down removing al markers, not only destructible ones. Soldier for Hire should remove This Will Fetch a High Price, put Bounty Hunter on the regular place and add Ruthless to Minions. Wanted Criminal should be reworked again to make it a real choice.
  19. He can copy Appraise with a 6, wich is quite interesting. Also the healing from Effigy/Emissary for a 9 or a 8, bit when you need healing you wouldn't mind. And the Democratic Elections from Yannic with a 7. In Tormented, he can copy Covetous Cravings from the Dead Outlaw with a 7, Whispered Thruts from Daw1 with an 8 or Draw Them In and Unquiet Soul from Daw2 with a 6. In Freikorps he can copy Bulldoze from Schill2 with a 7, Vent Steam from Metallurgist for free, Move or Burn from the Drachen for 6 or the Healing Energy from Librarian for an 8. In Plague he can cast Pustulent Tumors from Ham1 with an 8 or Rat Snack from Rat Catchers for free. In Obliteration he can copy Expedite from Tara2 for a 9, Channeled Healing from Karina would cost also a 9, while Accelerate Time from NB would be a 8. In Mercenary, Dragon's Bite from Viki1 is a 9, but would mean move both Vikis out of their activation, Treasure Seekers from Viki2 is only a 5 and useful, Covetous Cravings from the Student with a 8 or Healing Energy from Vanessa with an 8. In Bandit he can copy Bandit Raid from Parker1 with an 8 and Chaos in the Badlands from Parker2 with a 7, the Emergency Surgery from Doc Mitchell with a 7, Draw Them In from Pearl with a 7, Walk the Line from Sue with a 8, the Appraise from Smugglers with a 6 (like the one from Prospectors) and Covetous Cravings from the dead Outlaw with a 7. In Amalgam he can copy Essence Transfer from Leve1 with a 6, or Draw Essence from Ashes&Dust/DE by free. Lastly, in Infamous he can copy Drop the Pianos from Zipp1 for a 7, Menacing Croak from First Mate with a 8, Plenty of Wares from Fishbocker with an 8 and the Appraise from Smugglers with a 6. There's IMHO many interesting actions and allowing a 3ss significant model to do those actions is fine to me. I, for example, use to hire one in my Hamelin1 crews, along with a Prospector and the Effigy. For 3ss I have one more model dropping markers for benny, doing Appraise or, if needed, one extra heal or Rat explosion.
  20. Yes, Amalgam didn't need so many nerfs, but they were nerfed anyway, so I assume they're gonna follow their own path xD.

What I think are gona get some love: - None Should be toned down a bit: - Maybe Yannick-Von Schill combo What I think is gonna be nerfed: - Marlena Webster - Desolation Engine - Abomination. - Hollow Waif - Mad Dog (too much cry about him)
  22. So Taelor is quite useful when you can take advantage from her Ruthless (opponent dependant) or Bring It to lure enemies from posotion (game dependant). Ans not interesting in other match ups. Like a tech piece.
  23. Whenever an Enemy model with a Summon upgrade ends a movement within 6", this model may place herself in base contact with the Enemy model and take a action targeting that model. After resolving the attack, the Enemy model gains a Greeted token. Models with Greeted tokens are ignored for this ability
  24. I think Taelor needs a rework on her signature ability (Welcome to Malifaux). The rest of her is in line with what should be doing, and Ruthless is a very useful tech ability. I highly disagree with her being autotake with Viks... She basically does the same than them (she's a beater that is gonna suck a lot of resources).
