  1. Sparks Large Arachnid (With less and less time for painting (and playing...) I have to 'pump out' some coloured models in order to avoid a grey plastic tide in my cabinet/on the table - and safe time for models I want to pay more attention to or paint mainly for recreation. So some of the constructs are a bit more sloppy, especially the metall parts.) Finally figured out how to properly insert images from the gallery :P. So I got that going for me....
  2. Except he might die before that as he will lose his Manipulative protection when activating. I dunno, I just don't rate Tannen :/ Edit: Or actually, I don't rate his abilities / what it takes to get them to work high enough to be bothered taking him.
  3. You could play Paralyze Pandora (I agree that Box Pandora is risky if you know Sonnia is likely to be dropped).
  4. As Adran stated. I mostly find Bishop is a nice beater in a Pandora list, when you want to focus on the Misery Aura, as the target will also get Misery damage. If you take the Dreamer and have Daydreams or a Widow Weaver, that is very nice too. Also Will o' Wisps. There are many fun combinations. But he is very costy.
  5. Still only works on a 13 Mask or Red Joker if I remember correctly - but I might be wrong actually. I got the impression that Tannen only enhances actual Masks, and killing Daydreams adds the suit, which is not the same.
  6. I'd say: Lynch + Lilith or Lynch + Pandora (or all 3 :P) --> Lilith is very very solid and provides Tots for Lynch. Lynch's crew box is very good value. Pandora's box isn't really that much value (as in models being played) but 'Dora the Explorer is mighty fun. That plus: - Doppelgänger - if no Lilith box: Insidious Madnesses - Depleted or Waldgeists (I went for Depleted) - Primordial Magic (for Pandora and Lilith - though the Cherub is solid now) - a beater, I'd go for Nekima. Teddy is nice, but dies so fast. Nekima is better for the measly 2 points more. Never liked the Mature Nephilim - mostly because of the model Nice to have: - Mr. Graves (hardy model, good push 'Show you the door') - Iggy (if you play 'dora, buy Iggy. Highly recommended for his Martyr and Incite)
  7. And Toni finished. (1. photo a little bit too bright, second one a little bit to dark, somewhere in the middle. Got annoyed with taking photos...)
  8. Don't worry about your English, it's fine. When you have loaded your brush with thinned paint, it is a good idea to tip the bottom part of the brush sideways against a paper towel. This way, most of the watery paint will get sucked out of the brush. Otherwise, if you don't 'unload' the brush, it will flow onto your miniature when you touch it with the brush. Hope that helps
  9. First of all, congrats for a that good paintjob when just having started. Mhm, I'd need to see a single miniature in a non-blurry photo....but do you thin your paint down before painting? How much paint do you put on your brush (are you trying to paint one layer of paint to get the colour you want, or are you applying several thinner layers)?
  10. Some WIP shots of my Ironsides-Crew
  11. Hey, although the brushwork itself seems a little bit rough (at least what I can see based on the quality of the photos) the colours/tones you have used fit together nicely - which I find more important than super-clean brushwork. You even did blacklining, though I'd not use pure black but more a very dark grey. Black is often to 'hard'. Concerning the bases, I agree with Butch, though in this case, they actually don't bother me as much. They kind of work for the chosen colours and the terrain. But the yellow(ish brown) would stand out too much on a grey terrain board for example, or if you used different colours, like blue, on your minis, it would probably look weird because of the contrast.
  12. That's what I get for reading Pullmyfinger and not bothering to read the card thoroughly. Apolpgies.
  13. Arcane Emissary: You cant't take the 4/4/5 relentles charge attack and folllow it up with another one as the push is not optional. Nothing prevents you from doing a normal attack first and than relentless charge.
  14. Outstanding work! The paintjob on the Emissary brings me to actually like the model :P. I love how the different shades complement each other and the freehand to add details. Awesome.
  15. Most definitly. Also, I'm pretty positive the Guild is modelled after the East India Trading Company - especially if you read Sandeep's story in Ripples of Fate you get the impression. Also, if McMourning is partly based on Frankenstein, the Flesh Consturct in his box is Frankenstein's monster. The Mechanical Rider reminds me of that one rider figure in the Animatrix. Tannen and Graves remind me of Finch and Mullet in Tad William's Otherland.
