    I like how they do it for Warmahordes. Where you can have the same character mutiples times (Jack 1, Jack 2, etc.) representing various points of his life, each with their own rules but they all count as the same model (ie. only one copy in play). That allows the story to advance without negatively afecting the gameplay. Imagine having Von Schill 1, Von Schill 2 and Von Schill 3. One being a henchaman, the second the model we currently have and the third one where he is now in the story, with the mechanical limbs. I think it's cool that as the story advances the dangers of death are there for all the characters. But I wouldn't like to lose a gaming piece because of that. After all, are all the Malifaux games set in the most recent timeline?

    That's just their default Out of Stock message. They might be available again during their next sales (I got mine during GenCon, I believe), but I doubt they'll restock it this sale.

    Most of these Alt models you can get for free at tourneys, or with the spend X at your local store promotions (they'll even ship it free for you!). Now they're giving you a chance to buy the ones you really want, at a premium. They're even adding free Alt Masters from the Guilder store. Great for those that can't go to tourneys and don't have guilders to spend.

    Great news! My group of players wants to know if there's any plans to translate the cards to other languages? As some of them aren't good at all with english. Anyway, I've donwloaded it myself and as a henchman, having the up to date cards at hand at any time, is a great resource.

    I base my miniatures in an urban style, and also try to customize them. So they have both a common visual cue and the model feels at home. For those that have a western style, for example, I add some wooden planks to the base. And on some of my Outcast bases you can see some coins and/or pouches on the ground. Another subtle thing that I do when basing. Wyrd's round lip bases are thinner than the regular "generic" round lip bases. I use those generic bases for my masters. They don't look out of place at all, but gives them an extra presence.

    I've had games were I was counting on a model surviving, to heal them on my next activation, die to Red Joker damage. Games where I needed to heal a key model copying the Heal from the Librarian with Hannah, and every single flip needed to be cheated with a high card, depleting my hand, only to flip Black Joker for the heal (clearly Fate didn't want that heal to happen). These things can destroy your strategy. And I wouldn't change that. The unpredictability of the Jokers creates tension in the game. And it's not like dice. Once it happens, you know you're safe for the rest of the round. I've also cheated down to flip more cards looking for the RJ. And that one time it worked, it was glorious.

    LaGuarida is happy to announce its second Malifaux achievement league! Where: LaGuarida TableTopClub: Calle Bagatza 9, Barakaldo (Bizkaia). When: From September 4 to December 17. Registration is open until August 28 What: You'll play 5 rounds, with 3 weeks for each one. Matches are set at 40SS, but if both players agree they can change it to any value between 30-50SS.
