  1. @misterfinn what @Franchute said....just keep on doing what you're doing - only you know what you're aiming for...I'm just looking at some pretty sublime brushwork πŸ˜‰
  2. @RustAndTheCity absolutely superb ! NMM is beautiful and the smoke and fire amongst the best I've seen...in one word - wow !
  3. @misterfinn thankyou for your kind words...I like my Malifaux dark so want my Stitched Togethers to look as unfriendly as can be...glad you like them so far I must also echo @Viruk in saying what a great palette you have chosen for your Freikorp...a unit I have never given a lot of thought to until now...your brushwork is not only excellent but your scheme is my most preferred to date...look forward to following your progress throughout the coming year
  4. @iamfanboy don't be too hard on yourself...only you know what you are aiming for so however it turns out will be part of a process of adding to your skill base...all we can see is something that is one hundred times better than grey plastic πŸ˜‰
  5. Nice variation and a tidy conversion πŸ‘
  6. @iamfanboy +1 on ditching the cartoon character that comes with Bandersnatch - the model IMHO is way better without πŸ˜‰ Look forward to seeing your progress
  7. Sorry - just edited my post - not sure on the rules of posting direct ebay links so explained how to get there πŸ˜‰
  8. I've used small lead weights bought on eBay on some of my bases...search "lead weights" then look under the Toys and Games filter...one tip (apart from make sure to use plenty of glue to cement them in place) is be sure to get some paint and varnish on them afterwards otherwise if you drag them across scenery it can leave grey marks...otherwise do the job very well
  9. @Viruk Yes...even a small amount of regular time at the table helps a lot...and yes - if I am assembling a new model then painting it immediately then I get it all done relatively quickly...if not then the magpie in me gets distracted by another model which explains why at any given time I must have about twenty models underway at various stages of completion...either way your hours must have a lot more minutes in them than mine because I couldn't keep up with your output πŸ˜‰ ...and so....a week on and still a way to go yet but here is a W.I.P. of my Stitched Togethers...the shine on the hooks is not a metallic paint but a shine picked up with glazes...should get some more hours into them over the weekend

  11. @Viruk A very impressive line up indeed πŸ‘....apart from not ever sleeping do you also have a clock with 36 hours on it ?!
  12. After ECB Black Ops these are my favourite sculpts for the Cult....how many more times will I have to type " can't wait !!" ?
  13. The interchangeable tiles is one huge YES and have instantly gone onto the "want" list πŸ‘ Like the idea of interiors with interchangeable parts for the buildings πŸ‘ Like the shanty town/corrugated iron roof πŸ‘....really don't like the wonky cartoon style Lord Of The Rings spires ☹️ So...a great idea with lots of potential - won't be buying all of it but will use what works for me
  14. @Franchute looking good @prof_bycid with some rust and the right buildings around it will work well @Viruk the basing on your scion really gives it atmosphere
  15. @Hound Grey I have been staring at the million tiny pieces in The Wild Ones box for over a year now so that's some pretty intense assembly you just put yourself through...breathe out...the wall will soon be behind you...looking forward to seeing them finishedπŸ‘
  16. Almost two weeks in and here's my January pledge of three Stitched Togethers at primer stage...now for the paint

  18. My favourite unit and absolute favourite sculpts from The Other Side
  19. @Stewbert...eight hours over several days was pretty much what I spent cleaning/building and filling as well...was determined to paint them separate...will be trying to build them up as units in the coming days...fingers crossed...if you hear a banshee wail that'll be me off to the store to buy them again
  20. 😱 wow !....these are SO good ! NMM is beautiful...My paintbrushes are crying
  21. @Franchute 😳...I see what you mean !....that bridge is huge !...and the house is a lot of work as well...I was in favour of 100mm x 100mm because I was imagining hand made...hadn't considered pre-built...I dare say others will have an opinion...end of the day I'm easy - if everyone is happy then I'm happy with thatπŸ˜‰
  22. @Franchute I very much like the idea of @Icarius that the scenery piece should be at least double the size of a 50mm base so 100mm x 100mm....and I like your idea that it should be 5SS....making and seeing other people's scenery will be a bonus...but for my mind at least it shouldn't be at the cost of the figures...end of the day it's a good idea and I'll be happy with whatever everyone decides
  23. @GMort....can understand you hanging on for your local games store but this is great news... ....can we also please get an audio recording of your reaction to Goryo assembly ? ....no need for audio recording of the bag of legs, tails and noses that make up Curiosity Killed The Cat....we'll hear your wail all over the world πŸ˜‰
