WIP after today's work on the Hooded Rider. Really enjoying this model, while at the same time feeling like it's taking forever to make noticable progress due to all the details.

Variations of them all in black suits with hats and sunglasses?
It's 106 miles to Malifaux. We got a full Fate Deck, half a cache of Soulstones, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses. Hit it!
Really though, I just want some horns. I don't even care that they'd inevitably be a 17 piece trombone and trumpet, and a sax where you have to attach the individual buttons.

I'd love to see the Crossroad Seven as a blues band instead of a rock band.

Quick update on my end: Flying piglets are pretty well done but for some basing and deciding if I want to green stuff them some pirate hats. Bad Juju just needs better eyes and a touch up or two on his water effects. I'm stepping up my lighting work on the Hooded Rider and pretty pleased with it so far.
Thoughts?

I seriously can't say enough how much I hope a future Toni sculpt does a similar style.
This is amazing.

For July I'm filling in a few holes in my Gremlins, and ramping up to go hard into Neverborn after GenCon.
Redoing a metal Bad Juju I've had for a minute, to give him more of a rising-from-the-swamp feeling. Then, a few flying piglets, another Gatreaux Bokor and maybe a Bayou Smuggler and Gracie, with Hinimatsu and the Hooded Rider coming in for NB, and 2 Mecharacnids so I have them available should an urge to break out my Arcanists hit.
Total Pledge: an unrealistic amount of Soulstones.

Really liking what I'm seeing from you all this month, as usual! Between all the rain and blistering heat I got a lot done painting-wise!
Jack (15), Lady Ligeria (2), Montressor (9) Guilty x3 (15) in their translucent glowy-ghosty-ness by their copper trees, and Izamu (10) as inspired by Ganondorf, pierced by many Light Arrows. All told, 51ss.
Had a lot of fun doing something a little different this month.

This is a great write-up! I've only played Mei a couple of times so far and there were definitely a few little tricks I missed. Really looking forward to getting her on the table more this edition!

I'm definitely planning to update the previously pinned How To Colette post for M3E, just waiting for the official release to see if anything changes.

@Wintergloom he looks stunning! Can't wait to see more of your Cult!
I have a quick WIP of the Daw crew this far, been a slow start to the month, busy busy busy, but, finally got a decent chunk of painting in today.

Colette's crew is surprisingly good at Idols between Don't Mind Me and the healing and movement shenanigans she get from Mannequins and the Duet.
Kaeris' crew also does well with board control from markers and healing from Firebranded.

To start this month, finally buckling down and finishing Izamu for my Resser friend, and getting Jack Daw's translucent box done for him as a birthday gift. Have some interesting ideas on how to make them...interesting.

Thanks for the reminder @Caedrus, end of the month snuck up on me a bit.
I did get these two finished in time to use them at MuseOn Con, which was a great time and I highly recommend it in the future.
Cherri Bomb ended up making a wonderful Samurai as Coco for my RWBY crew for 9ss (adding a magnetized 50mm base covered in spent she'll casings to use her as Fuhatsu as well), and this Torakage will be helping as Renn for 6ss for a total of 15ss.
Everyone, your models are looking wonderful! @bedjy, your Cult is inspiring me to try a few things when I get around to mine!

the issue i have Colette is the rest of her crew falls over to a stiff breeze and Colette doesn't do enough on her own to remedy this
This is true of her minions, but the Duet, Cassandra, and Carlos can hold up pretty decently. And the minions can be swapped out for the much more durable versatile minions elsewhere in the faction.

The only real DO NOT TAKE situations I can think of are Kaeris into Idols (crew too glass cannon-y to afford the strat's health tax) and Ironsides into Plant because of mobility issues.
Glass cannon, Kaeris' crew? The amount of fire they can get on themselves plus the healing from a Firebranded have made them as survivable as they need to be in my experience.

The Performer crew is very top heavy, meaning Colette, Cassandra/Carlos, and the Duet want to be in the limelight and draw the opponent's attention to allow their squishy minions time to run schemes.
That said, I've found myself not bothering with many minions except for a SS Miner with Magical Training, which also digs up more Soulstones to help your master and henchmen perform better and survive longer.
Oddly enough, with Mannequins, the Duet's pulse heal and Cassandra's ability to borrow those actions, this crew has a decent amount of healing built in depending on how it's built.

Barring some really weird tricks from opponents (Split the Soul shenanigans from Yan Lo I've seen, for example) I think we have a wonderfully varied tool box in our different Arcanist masters. Most can build crews can do most things in their own ways, and our versatile models (while not as bonkers good as some Thunders things) are excellent at plugging holes in various crew deficiencies if they play out of their obvious strong suit(s).

Love the new sculpts for Taelor and the Student!

April showers are being followed by...well, May showers, in my neck of the woods, so good painting weather continues
I'll be doing some more Thunders odds and ends this month, mostly to make sure I'm set for MuseOn Con (which I highly recommend if you're within traveling distance from Iowa). Wanyudo, another Toakage, a Thunder Brother, an Izamu for a friend, and converting Cherri Bomb into a Samurai/Fuhatsu to fit with last month's Team RWBY Misaki. I don't have exact numbers on me at the moment, but I think that's 38ss.
(Also, @Caedrus I realized upon seeing you have me as an Unknown for April that I hadn't given a monthly today between my two waves of completions last month. All told it was 45ss).

Looking great everyone!
@Viruk thanks! I've always enjoyed conversion work, it's one thing I've found less reason/opportunity for in Malifaux over 40k (which is overall good, means the models are more interesting) but when I get a fun idea like this I run with it. Trying to get my hands on an Alt Ototo to add to the theme and conversion, but for next month I'll be adding a different option.

Fantastic news all around!
One question: any news on if there will be a small rulebook like for M2E? That was seriously the best thing ever.

@Franchute that yellow and weathering looks AMAZING!

Looking great so far everyone! Especially enjoying @Wintergloom's Urami work, wow!
My month wrapped up with a lot of learning on my end, tried some new techniques on the Hooded Rider (or as I've been calling him, the Dark Pony of Time) and am pretty pleased with the results. Between him, Bad Juju, and three Flying Piglet parrots for Zipp's Pirates, I'm at 29ss for the month.
Presuming no issues at GenCon, next month: Dreamer!
