  1. <---(looks at the mon of the Oda clan) you and me both, kid. you and me both.....
  2. Qi & Gong. No seriously! Everyone is going to be on the Explorer's Society bandwagon for the next whenever. The faction as a whole is seriously Wp deficient. Anytime any one declares them against you, no matter who they pick, you counter with lures, distraction, & blackmail and they have no chance.
  3. Rough Riders can be in Explorer's Society, Guild, & Ten Thunders.
  4. Oh yeah, Master Pilot! There's a just so much math in this keyword....
  5. The funny thing is if you have a melee attack that is Enemy Only, you can hold them in engagement and force them to Disengage... but you can't swing at them so they just push away.
  6. Get used to saying that line when using the Operative, because you just shut down so many things with that one sentence. Here's a brief synopsis of things that the Operative ignores during game: Agile Blade Rush Butterfly Jump Counterspell Crossroads Sin Token Distribution Distraction Diversion Entropy Exclusive Interview Execute triggers Extended Reach Hunting Party Laugh Off Manipulative Penetrating Stench Pounce Protected Scamper Serene Countenance Squeal Stealth Take The Hit Terrifying Torment Vent Steam Wicked .... and finally, opposing Operative's Infiltration Ability. These a just a cursurary glance's highlights, there's probably a bunch more.
  7. Totally agree, and I want to try it.... but I think I'm too dumb to pull it off.
  8. So scoped out a handful of good Bonus Actions to exploit in the new faction. Some are good... most are meh: Austera and Twigge: 8” scheme marker drop. Calypso: Bury a key model on the last turn: if game ends while they're buried they die. Also, Eject a said buried model to be vulnerable. Cyrptologist: Antique Timepiece any burning or poison. Eyes & Ears: You discard a card and draw a new one. Hopeful Prospect: Remove ALL conditions on one of their models. Jesse Halliday: Willpower resisted Distraction Shockwave. Machinist: Put a couple weaks back in their deck. Maxine (if shes a second Master): Put a couple severes back in your deck. Sand Worm: Again, bury them at the end of the game. Tannenbaum: Remove a bunch of severes from the opponents deck for a turn. Tidecaller: Ranged Toss! Ullr: Remove all scheme markers in a 3” pulse. Winston Finnigan: Free Dirigible rides!
  9. Oh... you get none for free. Weird. Oh well. It's still 12 of my own models, I need to do less work next turn. Hey, that means I can Siphon off the hired Eyes and Ears leaving a Corpse Marker for Meredith to pull the Husk from, leaving me with more Webs to summon from & I can get a card off the web marker with Surge! Yeah, it still works.
  10. You need a 2+ to get 1 E&E, 5+ to get 2 E&E, 8+ to get 3 E&E, 11+ to get 4 E&E, and Red Joker to get 5 E&E. So you stone for cards, then Cheat for initiative (remember your +2), then Excess Funds to refill your hand (try keeping high cards and low Tomes), then hoping to get into melee, charge the Nests into something... anything, to get a token on it. Most people will probably try to deal with both Nests because leaving them engaged with stuff is bad news. If you get attacked from something with a token, you can relent (because they are friendly), giving them triple negative flip with Hard To Wound. If they attack with something else, let the first swing come normal, chances are they cannot instant kill it... second swing, Bribery to keep them around. They now have to decide to bring ANOTHER model into this free totem or just ignore them for now. Thirdly, if they actually kill one, Insurance (try to make the one you already used Excess Funds on the forward option so you can do Excess Funds the second turn).
  11. Archivist hits Inaudible Whispers on the Eyes & Ears, Siphon the Creeper for the Spin Web trigger (1), then Font Of Knowledge on the Creeper, with low Tome, to add Tomes the the Creeper's actions. Creeper then uses Web Strand on Eyes and Ears twice automatically getting Tomes in it's duel (2)(3), followed by the Create Web Bonus action (4). Nexus does Exoskeletal Connection three times to whoever is best set up to take it (5)(6)(7), followed by bonus action Citizens of Malifaux, needing the 11+ of anything to get 4 summoned off the Web Markers (3). Meredith then activates converting one into a Husk (2). Then you have their 5 activations left plus the two Spell eaters haven't gone yet (I always use the Nests on the first two activations). The key is the Spin Web trigger creates web markers, which cannot overlap, while the other Actions drop web markers which can overlap, so you want to get the Trigger ones down first.
  12. I'm not sure what you mean by "order to soy", my Spanish is literal trash.
  13. This is what I'm running with to start off: Money Can't Buy Me Bugs (Explorer's Society) Size: 50 - Pool: 6 Leader: Nexus Totem(s): Shambling Nest Flush with Cash Shambling Nest 2 Flush with Cash Hires: Dr. Meredith Stanley Archivist Nightsilk Creeper Eyes and Ears Spelleater 2 Spelleater 3 I need a low tomes and an 11+ of anything and then I can drop 7 web markers, summon 4 Eyes and Ears, turn one into a Husk, and still have 2 markers left, which leaves me, at best, 13 of my own models at the end of turn 1
  14. Not really a comparison as Hunter's Call doesn't even generate an action without the trigger; it's not a Walk, you're just moving the model.
  15. It's not an action generated by a trigger, it's an action that generates an action, the trigger just tells you what type of action you can take.
  16. So funny thing about Will Of Cadmus, it's mostly an Obey but it does not say non-master. So you can say use Parker's Gunfighter to purposefully miss one of your own models then Highway Robbery one of your own scheme markers on the guaranteed last action of the turn/game reguardless of other marker placement. Any other cool Master exploits you can think of?
  17. The Archivist takes 2 points of damage, 1 is reduced by Arcane Shield, it takes 1 point of damage. The Archivist uses We Are Legion to pass that 1 point of damage to X Cadmus model in the actual crew. Can then that Cadmus model uses We Are Legion to pass that 1 point of damage to the Activist as it was not the target of We Are Legion this activation, this point of damage now being soaked up by the Arcane Shield, negating both points?
  18. Can an Operative just walk out of Engagements because the Enemy model treats the Operative as friendly for its Action? Can it Interact because its not Engaged? Can it take a Action or Charge?
  19. .... 16 built in healing trigger wounds!!! They are there to get the Parasite Token engine started, and die; that's why they're insignificant.
  20. Oh snap! Two Enforcer dogs and the Henchman bot! That's a unique box right there! I was only half paying attention to the Apex keyword, sorry...
  21. Are you going to penalize an entire keyword in Recover Evidence? If the damage/healing occurs before being moved, then models drop Strategy Markers while being at 2 wounds. If the damage/healing is moved before it occurs, then you can move healing from an undamaged model.
  22. He's brand new as of 3rd edition, only 1 version so far.
