  1. There is already a thread in the Malifaux discussion area. Long story short, PMF mods/owners are all over it. Edit: there used to be a thread, although I can't find it now
  2. If you are applying to be a henchman, that is the email to send it to. They have been pretty busy lately, so its taking a few weeks to get through applications. Mine took about 4 weeks to get approved.
  3. I'm an aussie too, but qld based. I would recommend wargamerau as well, there is a pretty good community on there (for malifaux anyway)
  4. I'm all for keeping the wiki as is, and will throw coin your way to help if required. $50 is just $1 for 50 players, and there is probably nearly that many henchmen that would use this wiki or refer their players to it (I do regularly)
  5. So I guess we need to know: a ) can we get away with 2gb or do we need 5gb (although seems like a hell of a price jump to 5gb) b ) Is there 50 malifaux players that want to contribute $1 each. I know I would (or at least 95c, because apparently my Aussie dollar isn't as good as your US dollar )
  6. How does that work with her bow? Or is there a bit of conversion involved?
  7. Quick question: given there is no readily available models for Tara crew (and i refuse the pay fleaBay gouging price when I do find them), what models for people use?
  8. In the lead up to our League kicking off in a few weeks, I will be doing Demo nights every Wednesday and Thursday night at Battlestation. I am there from 5pm onwards, so just come on down if you want to learn how to play. I have a selection of crews to choose from (9 at last count), plus all the Fate decks, tape measures and markers you could need.
  9. The Malifaux League is now open for sign up, and kicks off 15th October. This will be a 30ss Single Master League, meaning all you need is to pick up a starter crew box and you are good to go for the whole League. I will also be running Demo Nights every Thursday from 5pm in the lead up to it. If you would like more information, just let me know and I will help out. For more info, go to https://www.facebook.com/BattlestationToowoomba
  10. So best idea is to burn them during the game, so they get shuffled back in then?
  11. If people pm myself or Omenbringer with an email address, we can probably shoot them off to you. NB: I take no credit, this is all Omens hard work
  12. Quick question that came up last night: does Lynchs ability to pick up aces affeect his hand size? Can he go over it, or would he have to discard down at the beginning of every turn?
  13. I've always played it that the move from a Lure is a straight line from current position towards Lurer
  14. I could handle a straight Lady J/Lilith swap, as they are both pretty similar. It's only when after 3 months you are still going "this Lady J is Lilith, and these Death Marshals are Tots, but when they grow they turn in to Witchling Stalkers (or some other equivalent). It's more about the visual representation. If I can see a big arse sword, then I am going to stay away from you. If I see a gun, I'm going to get into melee to mitigate that (generally speaking, I know not all gun people are bad in combat).

    September Releases

Me too, also kicking myself for not picking up the Lucius box
  16. I think Bengt had a good summary, and I am much the same. In the short term, as long as its roughly the same size as what you are playing then I see no issue. Long term (meaning a few months), if you still aren't playing with the correct models or something easily identifiable (ie you are still playing Lilith as Lady J or with pieces of paper stuck on a base), then I might have a word with you and suggest it's time to get it right. Living in Aus, it can sometimes be hard for my LGS (who I always buy through and support) to get stock. So I would probably be a bit more flexible with people not always using Wyrd minis in games
  17. Easiest way I remember it is a move or push is when you have to slide across the board, whereas a place is when you pick up and put down. In game/fluff terms for that ability, think of it a move or push would allow the Belle to see her opponent/victim coming and so can prepare. With a place, it's kind of like 'surprise! i'm now right in front of you'
  18. When I run demo games, I find it easier to run around 30ss because most boxes are this size. I taught a friend who wanted to use Ramos, so I gave him Ramos, Harold, Brass Arachnid and 3 spiders. And I know people say new players should be given Lady J, but you will find people are more willing if they get a choice (I have 9 starter crews I let people choose from). As for losing a demo game, I can honestly say I don't think I have won one yet. Not because I throw the game, mainly because I only play 1 Strategy (usually stake a claim), and Seamus crew are not very good when you get in to the close combat
  19. My bad mate, wasn't implying this at all. Interwebz really isn't good for tone, is it
  20. Wasn't looking to power game, was more just a progression of thought I am updating a League pack from Omenbringer, which had the old rule for extra points for Henchmen led groups. This led to checking the rules for Henchmen led groups (which is now the same as Master led, god I love how easy M2E has made things!), which then led to looking at different Henchmen compared to Masters, which led to the end thought/discussion of the pros and cons of doing so
  21. Just something I was curious: What are the pros and cons of a Henchmen led crew? With the move to M2E, it looks like they removed the bonus points for Henchmen leaders (coming back after a few years, with vague memories of 1E), so that is obviously a downside to taking a Henchmen rather than a Master. However looking at the cards for Henchmen, they all appear to have a bigger cache than their Master counterparts. So is this the only trade off you get, not as good stats/abilities for a bigger starting cache, or are there other pros or cons?
  22. As nice as it would be, I can get trophies and medals easily done locally (which is probably easier than ordering from the US for me). I would much rather they keep pumping out the amazing models, as that is the major factor that has allowed me to sell the game to people initially (and once they actually play a game, they are usually hooked).
  23. Thanks Omen, I've got the certificates with the league stuff you sent me. Was going to get trophies/medals made, but wanted to see if Wyrd had cool ones first.
  24. In a few weeks time I am starting a Malifaux league through my LGS, and I was wondering if Wyrd have any sort of prize support or promo items they give/sell to people doing these kinds of things? I know another company has special trophies you can order from them, was hoping Wyrd had something of the same sort. I'm still waiting for my Henchman application to be approved, so it may be covered in there. But if someone could help me while I wait, that would be really great. PS: if someone could also get my application approve, that would be awesome! It's only been 4 weeks and I know it can take a while (especially after Gencon), but I'm not very patient
  25. I'm currently in the process of bringing Omens league pack up to date, so I can use it for my upcoming league. (Will send you a copy Omen when its M2E version, so you can check it). It's a reall great system, but also a really easy one to run
