Oh go on then.....let's see if I can actually win a game in 2016
-
Thanks guys! The idea for these blog posts though was more to give an overview of the model - I could spend the time listing why I take each model but as it stands I've not had enough games under my belt with the new schemes to have picked go to models for each yet. So I tried to keep it reasonably general But I may well revisit this series later in the year when I've played more games and have figured out how I tend to use each model. As for keeping Mancha alive, I don't know if I've just been insanely lucky the last 2 games but he barely took a wound. I've lost him a couple of times, for example he was killed off against Seamus but only after taking the Rogue Necro down from full wounds to dead in 1 activation which was where I began to get an inkling that this guy was a bit useful!

Hey guys! I'm starting a new series of blog posts about key Gremlin models that maybe sneak under the radar a bit. My first post has gone live today and I'd love to hear your feedback as well as any suggestions for future models to cover in this series http://abnormalifaux.blogspot.co.uk/2016/03/the-bayous-most-wanted-mancha-roja.html

So I'm heading back into the Bayou this year after playing Outcasts most of last year. And a whole 3 people have asked me "Why do you play Gremlins?" So to answer them I wrote a blog post about it. http://abnormalifaux.blogspot.co.uk/2016/03/goin-down-bayou.html#more I'd love to hear any feedback - and your reasons for palying Gremlins!

Wow, not updated this for a while.....ooops. So I decided in 2016 I wasn't going to throw rats at people - I was going to throw pigs, Gremlins and giant spoons at people instead. With that in mind my latest painted crew is here:

Putting in a request for a Nightmare Platypus. Because awesome!

Woohoo! Another event I can (probably!) get to! I am henceforth registering my interest

I had an absolute blast! My first Nationals so had no previous experiences to compare it to - but I really have no complaints! The round timings were well communicated (even though we gave Mike grief for him enjoying having the microphone too much, I'll be honest and say it was a massive help with hearing the time warnings) and as someone who played in the "Special Room" as I think it was dubbed, I has just as much fun in there as I did in the main room! Mike, Chris and Lee were stars all weekend - special mention to Chris for running around offering to do drinks runs for people, I thought that was a genuinely nice touch as it did get a bit warm in there, an unavoidable state in any venue with 80 odd people though! Agree on the table numbering - but as is inevitable in this type of event, things get moved and knocked about and some of the table markers were an unfortunate casualty. On a very short personal note I'd really like to thank everyone for making it such a fun social experience. I get quite nervous meeting people for the first time so the prospect of a room full of new and newish people was daunting but once I'd walked in and said hello, the atmosphere in the room was so friendly that I felt absolutely relaxed and really enjoyed myself. See you all next year and some of you before that I'm sure!

Thanks! My camera is a very old digital one so it's highly likely that it's not taking the best pictures possible! Switching factions for a while - here are a few Arcanists I did for my partner:

So it's been a while since I updated this thread - but I've got lots painted since! I worked on a Hamelin crew: I'll post some more later - I did a few Arcanists for my boyfriend which were fun to paint.

Hi Dave, posted this on Facebook as well in case of more forum hiccups! Sending over payment today for myself & Ben Harris (Panzer). Cheers!

Welcome! I'm just on the Herts/Essex border so we might not be a million miles away! There's also often beginner-friendly tournaments at Wayland Games in Hockley one you feel confident in the rules/gameplay!
