  1. We made a thing. It's been a while, but we back and talking day 1 of The Other Side Kickstarter. https://mistakesweremade.podbean.com/e/mwm-the-other-side-ramble/
  2. This was my first gencon and I had a great time. I thought the Tables were great really drew a lot of traffic over as I was playing. Having the demo tables right next to the playing space made it very easy to encourage people to go over and give the game a try. The enforcer Brawl was a lot of fun and a great social event. I loved that on Thursday evening I got to play against and meet 9 people in around 3 hours. That being said don't think that it needed to be a qualifier for masters, and I'm glad Joe is considering keeping it as a non-qualifier for next year. The Henchman Hardcore was a fun format, I liked playing in it and enjoyed most of my games, but thought there could be a better way to generate pairings for each round. I think that it being a qualifier was a great way to get people playing in the event and trying a new thing. The Masters was really well done. The number of rounds and round times made it a great event for a convention setting. The prize support for the Top 4 was nice. I like the idea of raffling off prizes after the top players got stuff, but would like to see actual tickets next year. I wouldn't mind seeing another 50ss but I don't think it is necessary as there were open spots on the day of with only one tournament. I know given all the other stuff going on I wouldn't register for 2-50ss tourneys. Having print outs of the format documents was a nice touch made it easy to settle minor confusion without needing to call a judge. some basic sound amplification would be really good for calling out pairings. The sales booth was really nice and had plenty of people to answer questions whenever I was over there. Lastly thanks to everyone who volunteered there time you guys made the convention a great experience.
  3. I used the 100count bag of zombies to make some corpse counters, it is one sculpt repeated, they are also a little small, and they do not have a lot of detail. I've heard good things about the box of 30 zombies but never actually used them. -AL
  4. It was a great event had a blast. Can't wait for the next one.
  5. I don't usually run a specific core list with Seamus. One of his greatest strengths is the ability to function on his own without a ton of crew support. This allows him to pick and choose the best models for the job each game. That being said some of my favorite models to bring with him. (outside of the crew box) are Flesh Constructs Necro punks Hanged
  6. I've been having quite a lot of fun with Yan Lo recently. He might not be the most complex master, but he certainly has a wide swath in terms of play style options. I really enjoy the flexibility of the chi mechanic and the upgrades he can bring to the table throughout the game.
  7. Yep It is why I was hoping In the Beta he would keep terrifying instead and just make his Nanny sculpt be grotesque to the max in order to justify the tn. I'm still really looking forward to the model and art as I plan to give Wyrd more of my money as soon as the molly box hits.
  8. I think that the team tournament had the highest concentration of guild. personally I played 6 games over the weekend 5 vs guild. 4 had Perdita. 2 Sonnia, 2 had lady J (weird math = team tournament) As a player looking to expand the zombie masses I can report the weekend was a little rough. In the end I had to bust out the old hag to stem the vp tide that was growing at Perdita's feet.
  9. I played Philip throughout the Beta. I haven't played Philip In his final form but just from looking at the changes i'd say in certain scheme pools He can be a huge presence. Being able to activate late and discard 1 possibly discard 2 enemy counters can make any of the counter based schemes difficult. and then there is always corpse bloat on Philip. additionally his card draw with crooligans or just finish the job models could get silly. Molly loves cards like Nico loves corpses and being able to draw 2 and discard 1 is a great chance for her to get suites she needs for triggers or just another card for discard fodder. her o action obey for him can also net you a chatty manipulative 13 model which I could see being useful.
  10. talked to the representative at there booth for a bit. sounds really interesting he mentioned a Kickstarter in late summer. the models looked great. The concept art book was looking really good as well. I think he said they were going to have 36 miniatures in the first release.
  11. After playing 4 games with a hanged yesterday I'd have to say that I don't think they are overpowered in the least. I would have dropped them from my list for 3 of the games but It was a fixed list. condition removal has become an important part of the game and helped my opponenets out a lot. Out of the 4 games I'd say the hanged did moderetly well I got 5 or 6 whispers off. most of the glimpses either where not a factor or got removed. they got killed in two of the games and hid behind terrain with 1 wound remaining for protect territory in a third. at 9ss I already pass over them a lot in crew construction, If they where Ca 5 on whisper I'd hardly ever play them. Also I apologies to everyone that burned and shot my crew off the table yesterday. I didn't no that the hanged was a douchey model when I picked it.
  12. Had a great time. I would have played Neverborn, but then Ressers would have had the same problem... Finals were ridiculously close and a lot of fun.
  13. I'll be playing Seamus. Really looking forward to my first tournament.
  14. This is what I have gotten done so far. I'm really enjoying the detail of the plastics, but now that it's time to paint them I'm not sure how to proceed. I'm trying to wrap my head around the Idea of painting things like emblems on all the armor, tie cords, and the entrails. If you can think of anything that might help let me know. -Al
  15. Hi, My name is Al. I've been playing for a couple months really enjoying Nicodem and Seamus. right now I'm looking forward to my Zoraida crew waiting for me in the mail today.
  16. I'll second the suggestion of Canine Remains they are cheap, fast and can be a lot of fun. they also give you some more models to draw out Bette.
