Hokay, I am new to the Viktorias with 2e and having a difficult time seeing why I would take the Student with them. The child costs 2 stones less and can cast Sisters in Blood fairly reliably, as well as sporting a tasty little heal. The Student can give fast, but it takes her whole activation, I am struggling to see her upsides vs the child. What am I missing?

I recently moved from the UK to the Netherlands. Is there anyone in the Groningen area that plays Malifaux - If not are there any forum lurkers willing to learn?

The other boxes for sale are released in Nov, Dec and Jan. I would expect to see Perdita and Nicodem released in February based on this, but it is just an educated guess.

We know that the Viks are a November release. With the realease scheduele seeming to be 2 crews a month, that would suggest there is a non-gen-con box along with her. I guessed personally at the brewmaster, releasing him would mean that all 7 factions have had a crew released (As the BM is dual faction), and give a firm footing for us to go round again and get another guild and resser in January. This would also mean that the Brewmaster, the only brand new master in wave 1 (As Tara is not getting her regular model until wave 2), will be out intime for christmas.

If I have to push a model 3" away (but not directly so I can choose the direction it is pushed) am I obligated to chose a direction that will make it move the maximum distance in a straight line, or do I pick a straight line, and move it until it hits a peice of impassable terrain?

With Beta Wave 2 being only a few days away, I would be really interested on hearing the concepts behind the brand new masters, and how they are different from what we have seen in the game previously.

The Lone Wolf and Cub or Yojimbo aesthetic is not really something that we have in a master at the moment. If we say that the man with no name is the same thing (because he is ), then I suppose we have models like that, but not a master. That or a Master based on the seven samurai with his own set of enforcers (in the vien of the Ortegas or the La Croix) would be my preference. To be honest I obviously just want something based on a Kurosawa film

Misaki's dad was my first thought too, but the current lore is that Misaki is in Malifaux as his proxy. I am sure that whatever Wyrd gives us will be awesome. I will admit at this point that I just like swords

So it is four and a half weeks until Beta Wave 2, and here I am shaking like a school boy to find out who the seventh Ten thunders master will be. Do we think it will be a new one, who is ten thunders only, or do we think we will pick up another infiltrator, giving us two into one faction? Does anyone with more idea of the lore know who it could be? What kind of Master are you hoping for, with what kind of style? I would like to see a dashing swordsman in the vein of samurai cinema. I feel this is the one eastern film archtype not represented amongst the 10T. Admitedly though Zatoichi could be seen as being represened in Lady Justice and katanas are a pretty big theme of the Viks. What do you guys think we will see?

My order has not had a status change either - I assume that some of them might not have yet - I wonder if it due to some of the issues with the Viks box set. I have heard on the grapevine that the first lot of UK orders showed up today - so we might not have too much longer to wait.

I am in Manchester - My order is 16118 and "processed" - I dunno if this is the same for the rest of the UK, but I recon we might have another week or so to wait.

I am hungry for my new models - salivating in delicious anticipation at the sumptious modeling delights that lie in wait for me. Unfortunately, being in the UK I reckon I'll have to wait at least another week

This was my exact logic as well, although it maes book 2 a little tricky to figure out. I also believe that Misaki will gain Dual Faction to the Outcasts. It is possible that Som'er will be Dual Faction though, as he is one of the original three outcast masters.
