  1. So, when can I buy a plastic SO? I love it.
  2. Who exactly is Ryle? Those over-bulging muscles look right to me in a "pump him full of growth stimulants, who cares if he's gonna keel over the next wek" way. He could be a perfect Cephalyx light monstrosity for Warmachine.
  3. Do you have the Ironsides box and Mech Rider as well?
  4. Ironsides box? OK, I'll make some space in the budget. *ignores 4 other unpainted Arcanist boxes glaring accusingly from the shelf*
  5. Oooh, a plastic Colette that actually looks like Colette? I like! Not enough to make me ditch the metal models I got in the meantime, but a vast improvement over the old design. Not convinced about the Mannequin knives, that thing's gonna get confused with Coryphees so much. I'm curious what ass blades look like.
  6. Dreamer. Especially since my dreams tend to be Lovecraftian.
  7. I'm not sure I feel safe with that name in power
  8. Hey Wyrd, this kind of stuff is why I still buy most models metal and used instead of shiny new plastics. So you can make a proper Hannah, but instead of getting a repose or some different ornaments we normal players get one that looks like someone with 3D modeling software woke up 30 minutes before deadline and had to do with basic shapes? No thanks, I'd rather make my own. You can make a proper flashy Colette, but normal players would have to contend with a drab Random Gothy Girl #916? Nah, I'll just hunt down the old model. You know, I'd love to cut out the random middlemen, save myself the hassle and just order good-looking versions. But if you want less of my money, that's OK too.
  9. Sorry, already got some. But judging from the ebay prices you shouldn't have trouble selling them
  10. Holy crap dat ending Coryphee bid O_O
  11. Thanks for the recommendations, but I managed to got the stuff. It took a bit of teeth-pulling and poking with red-hot embers, but a local player agreed to sell his set
  12. I had a similar problem with other games (Malifaux among them) so I got a few laser-cut tokens - 10mm x 40mm arrows from white plexi, that I can write on with dry-erase marker. Great for marking any kind of status effects.
  13. edit: got everything I want, please disregard this thread
  14. Flee! Get out while you still can! I just assembled the Misaki box, Yamaziko and 3 Archers and I'm now certain that Wyrd has absolutely no idea how to make gaming miniatures. At least I'm ready to assemble Yu Jing specialist drones from Infinity and confident that any BS those give me can't be worse. ...but back to the subject at hand: Everything in the Misaki box is mixed up, not each unit on its separate sprue/place as the newer kits. You want to pay attention to the A-F markings - letters denote units, so A-x is misaki, F-x Shang, etc. It's best to cut out, clean and assemble the box model by model, or if you prefer to do it assembly-line, store each model's parts in a separate place. In case you mix something up, here's the sprue color-coded for each model: http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-xrFlad47-KM/UwI-J-PeVrI/AAAAAAAAA3Y/pN2T_GR_1E8/s1600/Misakisprue.jpg Some people had trouble with weird positioning of Shang's tails, here's some help: http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-tDosCHxlEF8/Uv_xvsOL7EI/AAAAAAAAA1Y/f3LDfe8qo6c/s1600/Shang+Tail.jpg If you're not getting a scenic/resin base for Shang, make one or file the lips down where the paws go - this thing barely fits on a 40mm base and is supposed to go onto a 30mm one. Keep Ototo in 2 parts (separated at waist-height) until painted. Also, move the "energy splash" as far forward as possible, optimally to the outer (lower) edge of the front lip (sic!) - most of the mini will hand behind the base anyway so you'll probably want to recude it as much as possible. Leave Misaki's "energy trail" off until you attach her to the base, it gives no hints at what angle it should go on otherwise. (and if you do decide to get Archers, assemble the heads first - dry-fit 2 veils, head and hat before gluing everything on. Remember that hats have eyes sculpted on, they're kinda hard to see and I assumed I'd have to paint them at first; the "identical" parts like hats and quivers do differ in tiny details that will make them annoying/impossible to assemble when mixed up)
  15. I like those. The only reason why I don't LOVE them is the lack of space to write the designated model for deliver a message etc. with a dry-erase marker. Since they're gonna be sleeved anyway, why not take advantage of it?
  16. I was gonna get a second EC but that thing will break as soon as you think about it in a wrong way.
  17. I tried that metallic medium and found the pigment way too grainy. I can however recommend Vallejo Air Steel which is awesome for mixing colored metal. I love my blue-turquoise metal gamins :3
  18. Is there any official illustration or concept art for the Eternal Flame?
  19. Are you using a wash by any chance? If so, make your own, most common washes will have shaders (black ink) added to them, which looks really bad on white and other light colors.
  20. What's the deal with the giant Viktoria anyway? Is it a production mistake, some promo, or what?
  21. I'm not going to drill out the eye sockets (I had an idea of painting the bottom of the eyesockets and using smoky translucent hemispheres for the eyes though), but your color scheme neatly visualizes what I had in mind, only with arms highlighted with the same blue energy ("brilliance"?) as on the Illuminated and with inverted pupils (black eyeballs, "star" pupils, should be freaky enough and if someone gets the reference... then it gets terrifying ). Vilow: Don't worry, I'm definitely painting them similarly enough for the connection to be obvious (I think the little entities are spawned by the HD?). I think the smaller drone would look better with pure-black eyes though.
  22. I got the Dark Debts box to paint, it's my first experience with the new MFX plastics. The sculpting/casting quality looks impressive (if very flimsy), but I'd appreciate some assembly instructions as the box seems to contain redundant bits. I googled the MFX instructions repository but this box is not on the list. From what I see, the extra bits are: - crouched Illuminated, claw arm / tentacle arm / knife arm variants - female Illuminated, mandibles+leech tongue face / tentacle mass face variants. Is it just me, or does each one come with its own torso? Am I missing anything? Are they supposed to represent certain upgrades (I only have 1.5ed cards so I can't check) like the Death Marshal flaming heads, or just for looks? BTW, any ideas on how to make the Hungering Darkness look scary instead of happy?
  23. Well, if I could find it I'd tell you I know that when I came here 1-2 weeks ago (before the forum engine change) there was still an old ed rule section, I can't find it now and I double-checked. If 1.5ed rule/tactics chat material is still around and you could point me to it, I'd appreciate it.
