  1. Edited to remove that fact that I tried to reply off memory instead of opening the book two feet to my right...
  2. Nah, Scent of Blood is what Bete has, a living model killed in like 3" or something and she gets Fast. But it has to be another model that does the killing and if Bete is out on the table that's what SHE'S for. :-) Yes, Tara is a great example of tossing Fast around like candy. And Izamu can handle it pretty well by just reforming after his third Fast murder spree. I love playing him in Reckoning because I have to STOP his killing sprees.
  3. Each Walk action is completed separately. Some the first one taken (when not near an enemy) is unaffected. That Walk action ends and NOW you're engaged, so a test is needed for the second Walk action. Most people will simply say they're taking a double walk and move 2x the distance, and when not near an enemy model there isn't an issue with that. You have to be engaged before moving, or no disengaging strike can be taken.
  4. Ah, gotcha. We got Nicodem for Fast, that isn't bad. Toss in some models with Scent of Blood and a few with Flurry we can kinda fake our way to it. And I think if I found a way to drop Fast on Izamu my regular opponent would light his rulebook on fire.
  5. Only taking a Walk action to move out of a melee range you're already in will cause disengaging strikes. Disengaging strikes stop Walk actions from occurring, not suddenly ending ones that are in progress.
  6. I'd rather hamper my opponents more than buff myself. To that end, how about an upgrade that increases all Terrifying abilities by 1 within a medium range.
  7. Loved it. Nice luck tearing up The Dreamer that early and swinging the game in your favor. Looking forward to the next one.
  8. Ramos' crew comes in at 38 soulstones (if you make one set of Arachnids into a Swarm). The Latigo Posse will run 32 stones for the models included. You could take both as 40 soulstone teams and have some room for upgrades (though Ramos will be in a tighter spot). Sonnia would be quite cheaper, coming in at only 27 stones, so she'd feel a little shorthanded there. Nicodem isn't a good choice when you first start unless you plan to proxy a lot of models as he is a summoner and can take pretty much anything Resurrectionists have. I'd say Latigo Posse might be your best bet then. Both are pretty shooting crews, all the Latigo are armed and Ramos is support master though his crew can get stuck in it. Should give good learning opportunities to new players. I recommend switching crews each time you play, let's you shift your perspectives of how to use a crew, and remember to have a fair amount of terrain with a variety of traits to give both teams good options for approach.
  9. They are both Abilities, not Conditions so according to the callout box on Pg 53 they would both apply. And I believe it would apply in the same manner as Sorrows, causing one separate damage each.
  10. Batman would reveal that he had been mastering the Force in secret for years in case he needed it. Then they'd add in that Thomas Wayne was really a member of the Jedi Council in disguise on Earth to raise the galaxy's greatest hero...because that's how DC does things these days. The correct answer to the poll: The Punisher. The only guy without a long list of reoccurring enemies.
  11. And both got upped to Ht 3. Wyrd seems to think that ghosts take growth supplements.
  12. Oh I agree that Unnerving is probably Izamu's best upgrade, but I don't want it to always be the only thing he will ever have. I really want to try a Kirai list with Izamu carrying Spirit Beacon as a bodyguard for her, just to see if I can have fun with that. But I'm more in to running Yan Lo when I put away Seamus, so that might wait a while.
  13. I'm planning on using it with Izamu next time I run my Yan Lo crew. I find I normally have the AP to use Reform and heal up, so I mind the odd dent. Feels like it might be a nice change from just slapping Unnerving Aura on everything.
  14. Yeah. (1) AP Interact to remove all enemy Scheme Markers in base contact.
  15. Yeah, should be one in the arsenal deck too.
  16. Not "at will" she still has to succeed with the action, but yeah she can target the model boxed by the Marshal. As fluffy as it is to think of the model as being "in" the box when buried, it isn't really. Bury is a big pocket plane with escape clauses, not multiple pocket universes. The Death Marshals have the Wp duel escape clause just in case they are the only models to bring a Bury mechanism to the table, otherwise they could bury enemy models with no way out. So Tara could also unbury a model that opposing Death Marshals bury to turn into Echoes of the Void. Basically Buried is one whole vast empty wasteland where nothing happens until you find your way out...like New Jersey.
  17. Model 1 gets Glimps'd. Then the DMs Bury more models. Then Void Wretches eat them all. Your opponent leaves to drink away the memory.
  18. I have a disturbing amount of love for how good those look. That Flesh Construct especially is excellent with the subtle bruising.
  19. It isn't so much the distance that is the advantage as the repositioning and loss of Interact actions for a turn that make toss/fling so good.
  20. Heh Proxy for the Doxy. Heh. Which Limited upgrade I give Seamus seems like it effects my choices too. I'd rather have Doxies around if I go Sinister, so I can push enemies out of contact from him, heal him as a result, then .50 em in the face before Back Alleying out of there. Bag Seamus wants enemies close and fast.
  21. Doxies on the other hand can push the model away from them, even just a half inch and that's enough to trigger pounce. And if they get off Confusing Feelings it makes living through that beat down a bit rough.
  22. Look up Dead Doxy from the Wave 2 beta. They are a nice alt for Rotten Belles. (and Seamus can summon em)
  23. But Lord Chompy Bits can sacrifice himself, and he's the Dreamers power source.
  24. Some actions will specifically mention you can't, such as "You don't need a spleen...right?" from the Corpse Burst upgrade. It specifically states you can't use it when below a certain health. Conversely if an action doesn't mention not being able to use it, I'd say it's a legal action.
