  1. It's not a charge, so no, but you do get the Ronin's + from the weapon.
  2. Unless it's a Spirit or a model like a Malifaux Rat you're trying to move through, or you have flight or float, then you can never pass over another model's base while moving.
  3. Of course, but with the scheme you can't take him and you have to have a straight of five cards at the end of a turn. So normally if I was taking it as a Neverborn master, I'd take either the arcane effigy or the Primordial Magic for the extra draw/cycling. But we can't do that as 10T, and I miss that a lot.
  4. And, just a note for those of you who may not have noticed, Traps are Rare 3. So even having 4 of them is a little overboard unless you're doing big brawls.
  5. I'm definitely of the mind that I'd rather have Malifaux 2.0 than lots of new models, but I do think some new ones are needed. Specifically, and I'm not sure if anyone mentioned this already, I was disappointed to find that there was no 10T general totem. Which means that if I take Jakob as a 10T master, it's either Huggy or nothing.... Makes taking his special scheme as a 10T a lot more difficult.
  6. You can certainly choose to take the wound. The choice is always yours.
  7. http://www.wyrd-games.net/archive/index.php/t-36032.html There's an old thread that kind of covers this a little and will be helpful in this one. Seems like you don't have to hit or damage to activate the trigger.
  8. If I remember correctly, burying a model doesn't mean it's out of the game, just that it's off the board. Which means if you summoned an Ikiryo and one is buried it wouldn't be summoned. You can find the updated burying rules in the faq, and that will answer your question.
  9. I don't know if they're doing alternate henchies. We do need an alternate for most of the book 2 masters, though.
  10. I'm surprised there was no announcement or email about it. They're usually more active in getting the news out.
  11. Anybody else getting a little irked at the lack of updates about the release schedule. It's already well into March, and we don't know what's coming out! I know that I for one would appreciate more timely updates on this matter.
  12. They've talked about doing this before, but have to work through the current supply of Slottas first.
  13. Not to mention if you're playing Hamelin, and Nix is around (provided they didn't nix his dmg switching ability, which I don't think they did), and your weak dmg is actually your severe, and vice versa, then you want low cards.
  14. In one game, Izamu killed off two Silurids in one go, sat on an objective (this was a story encounter), died, came back in the same turn, killed a Gupps, then killed Bad Juju in one hit with Riposte at the start of the next turn.

    Lynch

If you already have Misaki, toss in a Torakage instead of the Ronin. Ronin are awesome, but the Tora have a lot more synergy with Lynch.
  16. After playing through a tournament with Yan Lo and crew (as ressers), I appreciate Ashigaru more than I thought I would. They're long-lasting unless you're facing a big beater, and witch Chiaki around to heal and buff, they can be pretty mean. I will reiterate, after having taken them in a number of games, that Belles are amazing with Yan Lo. I took two Belles and three Ashigaru in a 40SS game, and the control that it gave me of the board (pushing here, pulling there), was phenomenal. Also, I have to say that I can't wait for Toshiro to come out, because what Yan Lo needs the most, IMO, is a summoner in his crew. I want to try out Molly, but I know Toshi's going to be far superior.
  17. Mine was in a little bag in the box.
  18. And now with the addition of Oiran for Outcasts, I can't be bothered with Trappers at all. Even Freikorpman don't always make it in anymore. I can't wait to try out the Strongarm Suit, though.
  19. 1) No, stubborn only counts when you're defending. Simple duels (WP->12) don't have a defender. 2) Yes, Magic Resistance grants Armor # against spells and spell effects. 3) Not sure on this one. I'd have to see the wording on both parts and I don't have my manual handy.
  20. It's also a matter of having a little knowledge of what the other crew is capable of. But honestly, making the most of your AP is really about focusing on your schemes and strategy. Don't get caught up in doing things that are unnecessary. If you don't have to kill people, then avoid it as much as possible. Just focus on what you have to do, and take a crew that works well to accomplish those goals.
  21. I've only played a few games with Yan Lo so far, but I took Von Schill in one, and they make an awesome combo, let me tell you what. Yan Lo has a need for speed in his crew, and Von Schill provides just that. Oiran are incredibly handy against fate heavy and WP heavy crews, but I would also consider taking some Rotten Belles with him as a Resser for the luring ability. Being able to pull models out of formation for Izamu to eat is just plain awesome.
  22. Being a long-time Neverborn player (my first crew was Dreamer, and I only fell in deeper from there), Weaver Widow is not terribly worth her points under most circumstances. And Teddy is really only great with The Dreamer because he's sooooo slooooooow and has a really hard time getting into combat. Stitched are awesome with Collodi, and another way to go is to use Collodi and his minions with Zoraida. With him and 4 marionettes - you don't really need the Wicked Dolls in this case - it still leaves you with a decent amount of points in a game to put in a beater - Mature Nephelim, Mr. Graves, Taelor, etc - to help you thrash the opponent. Just my two stones.
