  2. Looking pretty damn good. I especially like Sword Vik and the Rifleman. Not sure how I feel about the gloss sealer, though.
  3. No, it does not. The reason being that same-named spells don't stack.
  4. Toshiro is awesome for objective games. Having the free move for every undead within 3" including him is freaking incredible. Pair him with Yin and some Night Terrors and you have one excessively fast and mobile crew.
  5. Agreed on that last part. That list is going to be a bit hard-pressed to quickly respond to threats. Depending on what your strategy/schemes are, I like Night Terrors with Yan/Toshi. They become insanely fast for objective grabbing. Yin is also a fast objective grabber, and she can hold objectives like nobody's business.
  6. Yeah, they still can. Play and Discard are two different keywords.
  7. My only concern is whether or not it's affordable. I don't want PDF's, I'd rather have the cards, but I don't want the cards to cost $20 bucks a pack - that's $140 bucks for everything. The nice thing about Malifaux is that compared to other mini games, it's cheap to get into. This also ties into - and I don't know if this has been discussed or not - whether the cards are still going to come with the models. Because if they don't, I hope they drop the prices for the models a few bucks accordingly.
  8. +1 to this. If they're not rolling out all of the new stuff at the same time, and they said they aren't, which I really don't understand, then it makes for a bad situation. Number one you have to decide which version of the game to play, if they're not compatible, and then you're immediately limited in the number of master's you can take. So if you're only playing M2E games, then it's possible you could not be able to play any of your crews, depending on what you have, or almost as bad, only being able to play one or two. If all of your gaming friends are playing M2E, and you want to play M1E, you're left out. It's just a really bad situation. My vote, and I hope Wyrd will listen to this, is to have the public Beta, then release everything simultaneously, either later this year or early next, I'd rather see it all together.
  9. So just to kind of tag onto this, what if there is no resist? Does the AR happen even if the casting fails? Because that would be the one differentiation I would make between the AR and non-AR spells.
  10. I did see that thread, and I like that idea a lot. I'll have to look into getting some ivy. Thanks!
  11. In the little rulebook, it's on page 51, right at the top. And it's for all spells, not just WP resist spells. The model chooses to tie the duels, so anything that does damage, etc, is automatically at a - - 1. Yes, if Seamus ends in range of the Belle, you have to strike him. However, the spell doesn't specify which weapon you have to use, so as long as you're in 1" you can always bash instead of using her weapons. 2. You can only tie spells, not attack or defense, those have to be cheated as normal.
  12. Just to make this very clear, only opposed duels. Not any duel. Simple duels, like terrifying checks and morale duels, don't have a defender, and I2I doesn't stop them.
  13. I tried every possible way of putting the pieces together, even filed off the nub so it could move around more, and I could only ever get part of it to line up. It was pretty frustrating. I figured having the front look good was more important than the back, so that's how it ended up.
  14. Had a little time to get some more pictures this week, this time of aLilith. I had already painted up the crew, specifically the Waldgeists, as birch tree spirits, so it made sense for her to follow suit. I'm not a good enough sculptor to fix the line at the bottom of the tree, and it bugs me. Sorry about that.
  15. Either Nicodem or Mei Fang. I've lost almost every game against Nico I've ever played. And even though I've only ever played Mei once, she cleared half my crew off the table in one turn. For a normal model, Samael. That little son of a dirty gunslinging twat always manages to take out just about anything I have before it even gets close. In one game, Sam took out two of my models as they went for an objective (half the time they were had cover, even), before I got Taelor in there to smash him to smithereens.
  16. I never even learned that jump was a 2 action until I got the rulebooks for myself. It was just house-ruled from the beginning.
  17. No, it isn't counted in that case. Normally, yes, it is, but when the distance on top of the thing climbed is smaller than the width of the base, it just gets absorbed. Part of climbing is that when you're done climbing, the model is placed right on the edge of the top of the terrain directly above where it climbed. So in this case, you'd have 1" of movement left.
  18. I'm pretty sure that's actually not correct, rgarbonzo, because Damage is converted into Wounds, so it's still doing Wounds to the model.
  19. It does not imply that he can kill himself. If Oopsie would kill him, he can't cast it. It is just worded funny. It's just a weird little safety mechanism to keep him from blowing up twice.
  20. A model can never purposefully kill itself. Pg 44 in the little rulebook, under Damage: "A model cannot use a talent or cast a spell that requires it to inflict wounds on itself if it would reduce its own wounds to 0."
  21. This is a really good question, but I don't think they would drop. Generally, and I don't have rule references for this, counters only drop if there is something on the board that can pick them up or make use of them. So since Toshi is the only one who can do that, and he would be off the board, I would say no.
  22. Finally got this one done. Took extra time because I couldn't decide on which legs to put him on, so I did both. Why not? Yes, the tubes are a pain in the arse beyond all imagining, but I think the model is pretty awesome for it.
  23. Haha, yeah. I think that if I chopped her hair up, I'd never be able to get it back together, it's just so tiny. She's still a bit of a pain in the ass when you play, and more so for crazy people like me who like their models to be facing the right direction, but still better than what imagine her normal pose to be.
  24. Thanks a lot, guys. Misaki was a lot of fun to do. @EvilBleachMan - Yeah, I thought about trying to tie them in a little more, but since they're kinda the crack wenches of the Honeypot, they needed to be a little more flashy and not blend in quite as much. I guess I could have given them a little more.
  25. And the newest additions, Misaki and her pals. I'm really not terribly happy with the way Ototo came out, but I just couldn't get into painting him for some reason. I really didn't like the normal pose for Misaki or Ototo, so I switched them up a bit. Shang, the Water Spirit The Ninjas Otototototo Misaki, the Mistress All Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon style.
