  1. +1 for that, looks amazing in fact it all looks good and happy belated birthday
  2. Fantastic love the freehand.
  3. Id view it of changing a picture via photoshop to improve its visual appeal to the extent that it no longer resembles the original photo or real life model. For example Fern Cotton regularly has tattoos airbrushed out of photo shoots.
  4. Maybe that was a bit strong, maybe I see the lighting and post photo as the boring bit, I'll attempt to get as good as possible rather than spend another 30mins to edit on photoshop. I always think the quick fix always appear to harsh, that and I mostly use a iPad for posting etc. No offence to the people who spend the time, however I'll try improving my photography skills before playing with photoshop more than cropping and resizing.
  5. @ DAGabriel I like the look of the ikea light bin! Never been a big night time painter due to working nights and prefer to paint mid afternoon or mornings as a relaxer! Using photoshop to crop and resize, may attempt to use more features but feel it's a little like cheating. @deadpool. Custom this is my first attempt at sculpting or using greenstuff.
  6. With the other halfs Samsung pl100 im fiddling with the settings so might hit it right at some point, no lightbox or daylight bulbs but me with a sheet of paper behind the judge, outside in the garden! Currently running on 5MP, superfine setting, ISO auto, Daylight Autobalance
  7. To start and build up for the tale of a malifaux painter i'm getting my hand in with a bit of painting, however my photographing skills are poor to say the least! Judge undercoat JudgeUnder by memento mori84, on Flickr Judge base coat and wash JudgeBase1 by memento mori84, on Flickr Judge WIP 1 & 2, base is custom, my guild cobble bases are my first attempt at using greenstuff, however i feel that they get the job done! 8. Liking Bette, today I have mainly been painting the judge. At the highlight stage. Face mask and jeans finished, first couple of layers of white started for the coat.(will probally end up doing over 20) I hate painting white
  9. Love it, esspecially the duplo train sitting in the back ground! Looks like my daughter has lost hers for the time being.
  10. Tha looks just like my wet palet! I'm a fan, made one a couple of months ago and makes layering and blending so much easier. I'd probally say its progressed my painting as much as using better quality brushes plus to clean you just lay a new strip of parchment, job done!
  11. Never realised that Kirai was such a big KISS fan! All joking aside amazing work and the sculpts are pure win
  12. Finally have a proper painting area so I'll come and join the party, will hopefully be painting full Colette and Dead Justice crews plus finishing my Lady J crew.
  13. Just started using the Daler rowney system 3 85 range after upgrading from the gamesworkshop brushes give great feel and much better control and at £3ish a brush doesn't break the bank brought the 2,1 and 0, so far only used the 2 due to the control being so good, also advise to use a wet palette built one today with a takeaway box, kitchen roll and baking parchment. 2 hours later and the paint was still thin enough to lay it down nice and thin.
  14. Paintballing isn't that expensive (shudders) after getting a basic 2nd hand set up about £200 playing isnt that bad, I'd say average of £40 a day for bring your own over here with 2000 paintballs. Apart from that it's all about the rugby and drinking however I feel like you could probally describe them as war games! Plus fiancée and children.
  15. What's he after I have a pink dye matrix 5 I'm trying to shift, guessing it's over the pond thou!
  16. Yes but for the price of the pocket rule book and the hard back is £60+ and the mini unless brought on eBay(£15-£20) is only available if you buy the starter box. I doubt I'll ever give up the plastic crack addiction that is GW however it's nice to see a company look after it's core by providing a free PDF as well as a hard copy. refreshing change from the norm!
  17. It happens, i used to have serious problems with gifts for geeks with 40k stuff however when you go into store they are the nicest set of blokes you could imagine, and touch wood no problems after the first couple of dodgy orders, if only they stocked malifaux.
  18. Its all about the fluff! Basically in my opinion it all boils down to Wyrd not being like Games Workshop, listerning to customers rather than regarding them as cash cows, with the recent VAT rise in the Uk i have refused to buy any GW products after they used the rise in tax to also add a extra 5p-35p profit to everything. Rant over.. Funnily enough this also coincides with my buy in to malifaux! Personally it feels as if Wyrd is one big happy community of gamers from the top to the bottom! One that im happy to include my self in!
  19. I've never had a problem with them placed two orders this month, both arrived quickly and without fuss, the second order of the malifaux books blew me away packaging was fantastic, each book in a jiffy bag and then boxed, best bit was next day delivery on a saturday and only paying £2 for 1st class postage! however gifts for geeks and wayland have both messed me about before.
  20. Really they are ideal for pining! Little arms and solid coffins! I'll pass using wayland games as I've had nothing but trouble using them. 1 eBay order cancelled after 'running out of stock' on a buy it now, and a £50 hobby items order arrived 4 weeks after I ordered it all items were apparently in stock when I ordered, however only £30 actually made it, their customer services are appalling, no replys to emails etc so have started to use maelstrom, quality outfit ordered rising powers and the main book on last Friday turned up saturday morning with 1st class postage.
  21. Cheers for the warm welcome already trying to force malifaux upon people, hopefully the mrs. Will enjoy it and I'm going to demo with a mate at the phoenix club in rushden in febuary, that is if I can ever get my hands on a p3 pin vice, everyone is out of stock at the moment and those marshals won't pin themselves!
  22. Unfortunately due to working nights and playing rugby Thursday's are a unholy day of all work and no play. Hopefully during the off season immight be able to make it down what time do you usually play? Another quick question what's the parking situation near IS as I refuse to pay parking in Cambridge since they abolished the flat rates at night(used to be £1 all evening at park street. Just realised that's almost 8 years ago now!) for multistory parking, and parking at the leisure complex is a bit hit and miss!
  23. Not tried it yet but gorilla super glue always gets good reviews and best bit is it's now being sold at Tesco. Picked it up the other day for £2.99 for 20ml
