I can't seem to remember which one, but in one of my very old White Dwarf magazines, there is an article about doing leaf litter on bases. It was around the time when the WFB Wood Elves were a new range. It recommended using mixed herbs, and doing things to them. Alas I cannot remember what these things are.

I'd like to be in this, but I have a dilemma. I really want to use my Lady J, but I have already painted one of my Marshals and started the other two. If I put up photos of the crew, and then do a total 55 SS worth of models not including the painted marshal and possibly not the half painted ones, would it still count? Otherwise I can do Lilith, who is still in her box. Just by adding the Young Nephilim, Nekima, Lelu and Lilitu I'd be at 50 SS anyway.

Just by looking at the Arcanist v2 PDF, there are only 2 things in the original rulebook for Arcanists that have not been re-done into V2: the Wendigo and the Electrical Creation. For Neverborn only primordial magic and poltergeist aren't in v2. For guild there's about 4, the Austringer, Guard and two totems. I imagine it's similar with the Ressers and outcasts. My point is that you only need the main rules, the V2 PDF's and Rising powers, as well as the rules manual. Any models that you use you will either have valid cards, or v2 pdfs that you can print yourself.

Does Maintain Machines (C. Hoffman and Mech. Attendant) target for the purpose of Ryle's Can't Connect, or is he allowed to ignore Can't Connect and any other Ability he has listed? A search couldn't turn up an answer.

Chocobo is right, you do need to use the Young for a (1) action, but mostly should transition it right to a Mature, provided you have another two blood tokens on another Nephilim within 6" (Nekima fills this nicely, usually). Am I right in reading replace as the replacing model doesn't carry any of the tokens the replaced model was carrying?

Yes, Ryle is a construct and a Special Forces (Elite Division) model. He's good with his brother C. Hoffman, as the Hoff allows him to ignore any of his listed abilities.

They're not conversions, they're new sculpts, and this is covered in Gaining grounds as being allowed as long as they're accurate representations of the original models. How can you represent a Daydream?

If you could hex off a weapon, the Hoff would be able to assimilate a weapon, and get to win a lot more!

Ramos will never by Doc Oc, as that is what the Hoff will be! He already has the gear on his back, and because he has no use of his legs, he would rely on those artificial ones to get him around. I can picture it now!

I read the part in the rules manual about hiring crews, and can't, for the life of me find where it says that out-of-faction models (not just mercs) cost one more soul-stone per model. If this is the case (I think it is, I just didn't realise) then taking my new Steamborg Executioner with the Hoff is not as attractive as it first seemed to be, and my victory the other day seems a little hollow (as I would have been one more SS than my opponent). Can someone point me to it please? Thnx.
