Honestly, the choose master beforehand only really influenced my crew once. But then it might have had more of an impact had I not played the same faction 3 rounds in a row ;-) Subjectively, I'd say it doesn't really matter, but I feel like it definitely has the potential to matter based on strategies.

Nope, because that would make Myranda good. Seriously though, she can only shapechange into a model which has beast printed on its card. Making something a beast during the game doesn't qualify.

1) pg15 of the RM "LoS is not "one-way." If a model has LoS to its target without the aid of Talents or Spells, then the target has LoS to the model as well" So based on the RM, there is no "looking over the edge" if Tuco gets cover, so does Perdita. 2) It would work like that, except if Lelu or Lilith successfully blocked Perdita, Lilitu would not get a disengaging strike as Perdita never attempted to leave her melee range. You would choose the order, as you're the one choosing to make disengaging strikes. 3) You just flip a card as you normally would for a Resist duel, and them you can choose to tie. So if Transposition has a total of 15 and Terror Tot resists with a 16, you can choose to just make it a 15, which would tie the casting total, and fail the resist. 4) Yes, you can do any action multiple times unless it says you can't (like Obey) So yes, Terror Tots are very fast. 5) Primordial Magic did not get a v2, so it's only available as a stat card our in Book 1. Bit of you're playing Lilith, you should definitely get one anyway, seriously. Hope that all helps!

Kirai can only redirect attacks. If she is getting hit with a blast marker, then she isn't the target of the attack, so no redirecting. However, you can sac a seshin at the beginning of any models activation to make her, and seshins near her immune to blasts for that activation. You just have to remember to do it when your opponent activates a model with potential blast threat. Hope that helps!

I'd say take more stolen, you can always use them to sac for your abilities. And because of Inevitable Fate, you get a rat out of it.

After consultation: 1. I would say any time, but can't find the actual rule 2. Magic Resistant gives armor vs spells and spell effects so, A. Yes, and yes as bulletproof is vs all ranged attacks B. No, magical weapons are not spells C. Yes, as it's still a spell effect 3. Same as above, terrifying does not affect friendly models 4. Not familiar enough with Lazarus, sorry! Depends, we've got a ton of warhammer terrain, one terraclips board, and a custom board - so it all depends on if you guys don't mind hiding behind rhinos and ravagers, lol

I will say, don't forget to take advantage of The Box Opens, which causes models within 12" to lose immunity to willpower duels. This will give you more opportunities to Obey models that you normally wouldn't be able to.

So my LGS is opening a new location on Friday and I'm trying to get the owner to push Malifaux a little more. We're setting up a "Getting Started" display with the two player starters for all the game systems, and we're going to homebrew our own 2-player Malifaux starters, at a discount of course. What we have: Lady J vs Seamus Sonnia vs Raspy Perdita vs Lilith So first question is, how balanced is Sonnia vs Raspy box sets? I like the idea of Fire vs Ice, and the minion exploding should be hilarious. Second question is, I want to include a list of suggested additional purchases, and I want some advice. I don't see why not. Although it puts the hiring restriction on, the effigy is not a totem, and not connected to the master, so I see no reason Collette wouldn't be able to summon doves.

Additionally, Reactivate is an Action Modifier, not an Effect. So I do not believe you could dispel it from a model that has Reactivate from another ability (like Collette)
