  1. @Alex room in our car, though I can't promise my driving will be less rough than a checked bag, lol... @James glad to hear you're making the trip, hope we can get in a pick up game. This will actually be my first Gen Con as well, however, general con tips: Water Snacks (con food is worse than movie concessions) Be prepared to wait in line, a lot If you're carrying a bag, never put it down, if you must to play a game, put the strap around your foot, every con I've gone to, someone always gets robbed, don't give anyone an opportunity Hope that helps! Oh, and have fun!!
  2. Gremlins got into the recording equipment this episode, so we apologize for a few glitches. This time, we review Z-Man's new Walking Dead board game and talk about the special events and special terrain that is more rarely used among Malifaux vets. Check it out!
  3. None of the above, I like mannequins better than performers.
  4. I've since jumped factions, so no, but definitely most comfortable with my original master.
  5. per the definition of engaged, model b is still engaged, and therefore cannot interact
  6. It has nothing to do with Voracious Rats. The Malifaux Rats themselves have an ability "Devoured: This model generates no counters when killed, instead, heal all friendly vermin within 2" 2wd" May not be exact on the distance, but definitely on the ability. Since the Rats never generate corpses, they can't do something which would be "instead of" generating corpse counters.
  7. Just to clarify the specific situation that was addressed: Mindless Zombies are Neutral, which means not enemy, which means that no model is ever engaged with a Mindless Zombie except in 1 of 2 situations which are: During the end of the activation phase when Nicodem is in play and within 12", it is only during the one time that he controls them When Avatar Nicodem is in play (which I believe removes neutral from the zombies, but I could be wrong) Otherwise you guys have nailed it, but when concerning mindless zombies, they're just corpse counters with a height until something happens which changes that. No disengaging strikes, never engaged...
  8. I would say no. The ability says "instead of dropping a corpse counter" which makes it a replacement effect, however, rats never drop corpse counters, so you can't do something ' instead of' doing nothing. But that's my take on it...
  9. Don't forget: I believe Ratcatcher is vermin, so he heals every time a rat dies as well, and depending on timing would negate the Shatter damage, which also means the rats could potentially die/respawn infinitely. Weird interaction for sure...
  10. You should checkout the Bayou Broadcast, it's usually relevant :-P lol. Glad you're enjoying Lost Boys Radio. And hopefully Wuppwecht will be joining the Malifaux community soon
  11. A little shorter this time, but no need for filler here. We talk about Bangarang! events, Malifaux, a peek at 6th edition, and of course our regularly scheduled review and giveaway! Link is in the sig! Don't forget to subscribe!
  12. Did you click the subscribe link in iTunes or did you add the feed manually? We all use Podbean, the other guys don't, so that may be why too...
  13. This week we've got a tournament report straight from NOVA along with some Pandora tactics. We also announce the winner to our last giveaway and have a great review of Gears of War: the Board Game. Link is in the Sig!
  14. Well, per Gaining Grounds, recommended is 18-21, minimum is 12. But then it gets a little weird when you start looking at sizes of terrain. A couple of barrels that take up an inch or two is different than a building that is 12" squared. I just like to make sure the board feels even.
  15. What do you mean by this? Poison counters don't 'stack' really. The errata only cleaned up the wording on the old rule, you increase the number of poison counters to the number indicated, not by the number indicated
  16. Yes, technically Sunday at 12am. If you look at the pre-reg page, it does say 1130pm on Saturday to 6am on Sunday- the site wouldn't let me use midnight as a start time.
  17. Gamers lounge, cheated fates, and d6g tend to be at the to of my playlist. And of course, I'm partial to those guys at lost boys radio ;-)
  18. Special Offer!!! For the week of July 1st through July 6th, buying $50 of Malifaux will get you free entry to the midnight story encounter. Buying $75 of Malifaux will get you free entry to both tournaments! Contact the store or myself if you're traveling and would like to be sure we have what you'd like to purchase.
  19. Better late than never! A couple short battle reports, three game reviews, new releases, nerd news, upcoming events, and another giveaway!!! http://www.lostboysradio.com
  20. Forcing Hamelin and Ratcatchers to fall back could definitely help with your rat problem
  21. You could summon a second Ikiryo if the first was buried. But if it tried to unbury while the new one was still in play, it would indeed be lost
  22. And of course, all games played throughout the weekend will be Dead Heat eligible - I'll post new tournament packets soon with a checkbox to make it easy.
  23. True... but I believe Sorrows only have to be in base contact for life leech, so it would still hurt doppelganger.
