1. Yeah... that's what I said when I saw that model too... At Gencon we bought 2 starters of Ex-illis and a few other goodies, and it has been a hit at both the LGS and at home. We don't play very many games together at home due to one fact: We are COMPETITIVE! If there is a rule involved we always end up in an argument over the rule, because that rule probably won one of us the game and lost it for the other. A lose lose that sometimes leaves me warming the couch... Ex-illis cures all those problems by simply making the rules immutable. They are hard programmed into the software they provide you. You tell it where you want to be, and what you want to do and BLAM! it calculates everything. Hits, defenses, special attack increases, etc. The models are beautiful (not as cool as Wyrd mini's). The story in the background combines history and a liberal dose of fiction to make things very engaging. You can pick up the game, put the models together and be playing in as little as 3 minutes. Each game you play add experience to your mini and you can use those experience points to level up your model, giving them boosts in power and new abilities. On top of that the game has a badge and rewards system in place, so you can get virtual loot (and in some case REAL loot) to add to your stuff... Check it out... http://www.ex-illis.com/
2. :teddyTeddy #10: Purchased ... Not 100% sure what I want to make him. I am missing one care bear, buuuut.... I think I'll play in another field this time...
3. Amazing... now if I only have 850 AUS and a way to pick it up...
4. This is awesome! The dolls really make this Zoraida stand out... I can't wait to see you tackle the Stitched Togethers, Wicked Doll, and Voodoo Doll totem...

6. Gotta do one more thing... black out the base...
7. Friendship Bear: Complete (for now)
8. As a gamer, I tend to view the passage of time in Cons. So, 2 GenCon's ago Army Painter had a moderately sized booth, and I fell in love with product. For those of you not in the know, they are the fastest way in the world to toss out a very solid table top ready ARMY. They are not ideal in all respects for the level of paint jobs that we see posted regularly in the showcase forum. They are geared to the mass armies of Warhammer and the ilk. Basically you prime using their amazing primers, toss on a few base coats, use their polyethylene/polyuethane based "dip", and the spray the models with anti shine and they are ready for war. The products end up very durable and at table top range they are pretty nice. Here's a snippet of their current new primer "Crystal Blue" I've used their brushes, drill sets, and just about anything else that happened to wind up at our LGS. The 2 best products they have hands down are their primers and the cutters. Primer: It lasts forever! I primed 444 Zombies from the Vampire Counts line of Warhammer Fantasy the Halloween before last on just 2 cans of primer. It goes on smooth and is the FASTEST drying primer I have ever used. I've painted on it in as little as 7 mins with no bleeding or transfer of color. Cutters: These things are amazing! Normally one of two things happens to the snips I buy. 1) The Spring that keeps them open stops work or breaks, or 2) The tips bend when I get a little too aggressive with a cut on a modification. I've had my snips for a little over a year and neither has happened. High quality stuff... Check them out here --> http://usshop.thearmypainter.com/products.php?ProductGroupId=5
9. I like what little I can see... it's just really hard to comment with the pics being so blurry. Looks like blueberry and sky blue with red eyes??
10. I swear by Army Painters primer line. I've used the inexpensive stuff, and the other ones from the LGS, but nothing is like the Army Painter stuff... If you've not seen it, lookie here -->http://www.thearmypainter.com If you get the ones at the home improvement stores, the duplicolor works just fine...
11. I used to spend HOURS filing mini's for mod work, then I got a Dremel for Christmas a few years ago and I LURVE IT. Filing down the boot might be the only way, unless you have some left over bits from other models that you could use. That one requires a little amputation though...
12. I use a metric ton of the Gryphonne Sepia when doing Malifaux pieces... it just looks more aged to me, Badab is Dark, Devlan is dirty.
13. Oh! And between the first layer of wash and the second on both I used a layer of the Baal Red just on the gums and the base of the teeth. The best part about the GW washes is they dry waterproof, so you layer them on top of each for some depth.
14. On both the Orange and the Purple I used Squid Pink on the gums, jack bone from P3 on the teeth, then washed. Orange got a number of layers of Gryphone Sepia, then I used touches of the burnt orange and yellows to highlight. Purple got washes (heavy) of the Badab Black, her highlights will be cold grey and white... Likely won't finish her until tomorrow...
15. Here's the secret... I took a mold of a 40K door from one of their Basilica's, and molded it in flexible polymer clay (Sculpy Bendy Clay)... Worked out pretty good, I just used the single skulls to fill in the gaps... Here's the one...
16. ::Envy in the utmost extreme!:: I love this one!
17. Diabolical! Now y'all have made me want to pull out all the hirst molds I have and do something constructive... (Oh and post 100!)
18. I like the red and black on Lilith... I'd love to see some close ups of the nephs... If that is an Albino Mature Nephilim you win the coolness sticker for the day...
19. During Lunch at work today... Base coats in bubble gum and cotton candy... Secondary layers plus a white heart shape, it's easier to do this than to try to line the hearts in the next step... Then the final over heart design in opposing colors... After this I washed it in Badab Black (just the tummy) and then colored the eyes with the left over pink and blue. I don't like the eyes so I will be redoing those tonight...
20. Less than you would think... there are only 6 or seven real skull pieces on that base.
21. Just for comparison, this is what it started its life as...
