  1. Wyrd has learned from experience that promissing a date when one does not have product in hand leads to upset customers. Heck even vague talk has been held as promise by the masses at times. Far better for them to stay silent until they can speak with certainty.
  2. The booth was really nice this year. Always good to drop in and chat with Aaron and Kelly and Mason briefly. Poor Mason was really sick this year. Beer carts selling $5 PBR and a whiskey Golem on Thursday was hysterical. Thanks to all who made adepticon 2017 the best year yet.
  3. Weather forecast is calling for rain and 40's on Saturday and Sunday. 60's-70's Thursday and Friday. But my suggestion is always bring layers and a rain jacket and a winter weight coat. We have been known to have all four seasons in a weekend. But I mostly expect cold and wet this time of year.
  4. Aaron said on AWP that it was announced at Gama that minis are in the works.
  5. BTW... Your new project link is broken
  6. Yay! DCR expansión! When are the minis coming out for it? Bayou Bash?
  7. FYI - this year the hotel is offering a bag check for AdeptiCon attendees. You can check a bag at the front desk for $5 and you will be given a ticket that allows you to get items out of your bag throughout the day. Bag Check access will be 24/7 throughout the convention. This is great news for anyone not at the host hotel. You do not need to be a guest to take advantage of this.

  9. Lots of fun to be had in the Wyrd Hall. We have some awesome TO's this year. Make sure to say hey. I will be setting up in the hall Wednesday night after 6 and then will mostly be at the judges table throughout the con. Feel free to find me and ask for help figuring things out.
  10. If you would like to help out with events, email me at adepticonsean@gmail.com
  11. Have fun storming the castles!
  12. Not all. I think there is a list somewhere of which do and which don't but, I will dig through the pdf's tomorrow and make one and save it somewhere I can find it easy as it is a question that comes up frequently.
  13. Recruitment Drive and Sixteen Tons were both produced for Free RPG day and are good starter One Shots that have pregen characters for you to use should you want. I also recommend Legacy of Darkness. Again it has pregen character if you like. But, really any of the one shots are pretty friendly. So, just read the little blurbs and see which one speaks to you the most.
  14. Howdy folks. Just a reminder that Pre-registration for AdeptiCon ends on Friday at 5pm CST. If you haven't registered yet, you may want to. On-Site registration is a thing. But, events do sell out. This year will see the events you all have come to love as well as a few new ones. Attendees looking for Wyrd goodness to spend their time on will be able to partake in the following: -Wyrd Sales Booth: Wyrd will once again have a booth in the vendor hall. What will they bring to sell us all this year? Which of the Wyrd Crew will be in attendance? Will Aaron play a game this year? -Gaslight Achievement League: All Weekend, any Malifaux games you play are eligible for the Gaslight Achievement League. Part scavenger hunt, part excuse to play lots of games and try wacky stuff out. -Costume Contest: Bring your favorite Malifaux themed costumes. Every day, I will pick the best costume I see and will invite the person back on Sunday for final judging. So, if you don't get chosen one day, you try the same costume again or wear a different one. -Demos: We will be demoing all of the Wyrd games all weekend. Kings of Artifice, Jetpack Unicorn, Evil Baby Orphanage, Showdown Icons, Puppet Wars, Darkness Comes Rattling and of course Malifaux will be available to try out. -Open Play area: Got a few hours with no event planned? Stop by the hall and see if someone wants to get a game of Malifaux or Darkness Comes Rattling in. -Meet and Greet Party: Thursday all day. Come start the convention off with a party and play games with some of the most awesome people you will meet. Get out of your meta and play with people from all over the world. -Cake Match: Thursday evening. Think you have the baking skills to take Best Cake this year? Bring your confectionery skills and your Wyrd decorated pastry to see if you do. - Henchman Hardcore: Thursday afternoon. Find out if your Henchman has what it takes to beat down the contenders. -Enforcer Brawl: Thursday evening. Eight enforcers enter. One leaves! Who will it be this year? -Through the Breach One Shot Adventures: One adventure will happen every day. This is our first year holding RPG events and it is being well met. -Team Tournament: Friday all day. Pick your teammate and combine forces to take on all comers. A fan favorite event. Lighthearted and fun shenanigans to be had by all. The tournament organizers have come up with some additional ways to compete this year. So, make sure to check out the rules packets on the adepticon website. -Masters of Malifaux: Saturday all day. This is the big daddy event. Play games against the best of the best to see where you rank. -Story Encounter: Sunday all day. A fun way to end your trip. Play a set of three original story encounters written by Joe Deheve set in a Freak Show. Also, continuing our practice of awarding those who show up to an event on Sunday and play some weird encounters, all participants will receive an exclusive model sculpted and donated by Forrest Harris of Knuckleduster Miniatures. This year's mini is a continuation of our circus theme models, a mounted performer that could make for a fantastic Mechanical Rider for your Dark Carnival Crew or Collette's Showgirls ( https://drive.google.com/open?id=0Bwk_w45K70o8Q0pnR2FQYVEzMWZSR2tPZTFzNXo1X1B2MHZN ). So, as you can see we have a full convention packed with awesome Wyrdness to be shared by everyone. See you next month!
  15. Here is a link to Mako's model tracker https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B3Azg5GNpKW5alJNRlRXMUdWbkk/view?usp=drivesdk
  16. It was made before there was this version of the site. I am not sure if Mako appealed to have it hosted on the site once it was able to be. I imagine he stopped updating the lists and decided to forgo having it hosted. Here is a link to the list as of September of last year. It has most of the limited edition versions as well as metals. I know most people won't need all that. Feel free to delete. No offense taken. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B3Azg5GNpKW5alJNRlRXMUdWbkk/view?usp=drivesdk
  17. The original version is still up. I believe the link uses the old forum website. So just change the website to themostexcellentandawesomeforumever-wyrd.com and it might work. But the lists sheet need a lot of updating. Mine is mostly current. Let me know if you want it
  18. We will still demo it this year. It has been in the ads.
  19. Glad it might get support. Sad it isn't Wyrd doing it anymore.
  20. I just checked my pdf versions from drivethrurpg. They do not include quick-start rules. Just the adventure and characters.
  21. Trouble is, the rules are in the Fated Almanac. If someone has access to that, there are many one shots that have pregen characters. But then if someone has the Fated Almanac, you have the rules for creating characters. So.....
  22. Definitely not implausible. Anything can be plausible with the right motivation
