Omenbringer pretty much echoes my thoughts. I've been thinking recently about how I take Family Tree by default. What are other people running or does it always make its way onto your list? In line with the original theme of the topic, I recently acquired the Kin. Is anyone mixing them into Somer crews? It seems almost wrong to hire them under Somer.

I agree with Omenbringer. I ended up making my own after buying two different sets and finding that they weren't exactly 30mm. One set was a bit smaller, the other was a bit bigger. I'm not sure if most people would care but I did.

Everything arrived today. Was on the fence about opening the translucent Whiskey Golem or not. Glad I did but I'm not brave enough to put clippers anywhere near it! No idea about Miss Step but my Hog Whisperer is missing the card and base for the Piglet. Not as big a deal.

I really appreciate it. Good thing it's so frosty here today or else I would have had it sprayed and all.

To return to the topic about Lenny's Willpower, what's the gameplan when the enemies force Horror duels or can control Lenny through Obey or Lure? He can't really stay out of the range of Lure and when he (forcibly) walks, he's taking his aura with him. Also, he can't really engage enemies like Bad Juju who will smash through Bayou Gremlins. I also didn't realise until reading this thread that you could Toss enemy models. I love Lenny even more now.

Did anyone manage to get any pictures? I put my crew together apart from one piece on Bad Juju pictured here: I simply can't find a way to attach it that seems sensible and connects on both sides. I'm tempted to leave it off...

Considering you can only hire 2 hunters, flipping them isn't actually a terrible idea. Doesn't really make sense to sculpt 2 and at least it introduces a little variety. I'm not sure what you're supposed to do with the Watcher, though. One wing looks too small and the other makes it look like a pain to position.

Malifaux plastics have really impressed me but there's no doubt they're a bit more fragile than they need to be. e.g. the Gremlin guns which are oddly longer and thinner than their metal counterparts. That said, I simply wouldn't game with metal models unless I had to, any more. They're a lot more susceptible to dings and there's nothing worse than a lovely painted model with bits of the metal showing through.

Lucky people! My miniatures have been sitting in customs clearance for four days and I think they're going to be just a few days late for Christmas. Oh well, better late than never.

Crazy how much smaller it is but I guess it's not spilling well over the base any more. Looks very neat.

Well, my order's in USPS's hands now. And has been for the past few days with no update... Good thing I ordered a couple of crew boxes and so on as back-up.

I ask because I was puzzled in retrospect about how to achieve an Assassinate in my last game. As soon as you engage the target, your Bayou Gremlin gunline becomes a liability and Somer's melee's so-so. What else does he offer as a Master beyond Git Yer Bro? The fluffy side of me would prefer to field Somer for everything but perhaps Ophelia perhaps beats him in certain encounters?

I think this is silly and a bit cheesy. Surely the must overrides the "may". The most interesting thing to come out of this conversation is Adran's point that you may choose to consume both AP instead. Even then, it's probably worth sacrificing a Gremlin instead of risking letting the enemy live!

I ordered everything Gremlin-related. I didn't even want Merris but in for a penny, in for a pound. Now I'm just wondering when Old Major will arrive so I can run an extremely porcine crew.

Whiskey Golem became a lot more palatable after the USD to GBP conversion on my cart. Went for one of everything Gremlin. Bit awkward that N. Ireland counties aren't available on the store. Hope my package doesn't end up in some remote Scottish village...

I thought getting all the new Gremlins would push me into Ltd Edition Gremlin territory. Seems like the order's still short even with more Piglets and the retro Fate Deck. How badly do I want that Whiskey Golem?

Well it looks like my prayers were answered with the Black Friday announcement. It'll be like 1st gen all over again with Warpig and Hog Whisperer and Piglets. Except hopefully I'll win more. On the topic of Gremlins, I'm pretty sure in one game I needed a 9th. I couldn't imagine fielding any more than that, the game would turn into a real slog for both sides. Surely it's a waste to spend more than a single turn generating and healing them? I'll definitely get the kin box based on this thread, especially for Francois...

Ah, forgot to mention I'm already equipped with Slop Haulers and extra Gremlins. Sounds good. I'm trying to keep myself to all-plastic so I'll probably wait until the Hog Whisperer and piglets are in plastic (hopefully soon?). I guess it makes sense to pick up the Ophelia box-set. Sounds great. Can't wait to get him.

Having returned to the fold, I'm overwhelmed with options for the Gremlins and would rather keep my old, metal models sitting in their display case. With that in mind, what make good options for adjusting to different schemes and strategies? I feel like mass-Gremlins doesn't always work but I love Somer Teeth Jones and it seems like a lot of other options don't have models at all yet. I was thinking Burt and Gracie to add some muscle (and perhaps a ride for Lenny). What are most other people doing?

Thanks for the suggestions, guys. Is it really worth sacrificing the Gremlins and an action point to summon a Piglet and draw cards? Also, I'll have to have a good read through this thread since I'm not sure what the pig boomerang tactic is. Thanks again.

I played my third game this week just with the Som'er Teeth Jones starter box and it was my third loss in a row. :bigok: Just by coincidence, they've all been against Seamus. One problem, apart from his handgun, is that he's free to use nearly all of the corpse counters lying around since only the Warpig can get them. That will probably only get worse in larger games. Anyway, I've just got a blister of Pigs, a Hog Whisperer and two Mosquitoes based on a mixture of the suggestions earlier in the thread. Is there anything decent I can do with these to turn my luck around? Also, could anyone explain how A Gremlin's Luck works and how it should be used?

Quick question from a newbie. What's the best things to add to the Som'er Teeth Jones box? I believe that the only new things that can be added are piglets and the Hog Whisperer? I see the Errata changed the Mosquito from "Gremlin" to "Vermin" so Som'er Teeth Jones can't benefit from Survival of the Fittest but can damage it using Pull My Finger.
