  1. Wow! That Zoraida/Flemeth conversion is really cool. I like the dark colour scheme you chose for the crew, it's certainly suitable for a bunch living out in the swamp.
  2. Well instead of patting myself on the back too much I should get down to some painting:- More cloaky goodness The jumpsuit looks really rough at the moment. It needs tidying up and all the holsters and pouches (of which there are many) doing next. Edit: darn it, I've just spotted that mould line on the underside of his hat I've missed *smacks forehead*
  3. Oh wow! Thank you I forgot about Chronicles coming out on the 1st with the Beta release and all. That's a great article, and I'm going to borrow your Rusty Alice scheme for the Malifaux model, your razorspine rattler looks great BTW It's funny, for years I've been getting advice on painting techniques on forums, and now I find it quite humbling to be able to givve advice to others.
  4. I see these and I can't help but hear the Raiders march. Very nice crew. They work tremendously well together.
  5. I had a good time at the come today. Did a bunch of demos which on the whole went down very well with many asking where to get stuff and how much it cost afterwards This was my setup.
  6. I thought I'd share this. I must be doing something right. P.s. I also came second in the tournament itself.
  7. Right, gotcha. I rarely play against ressers so didn't quite remember that rule correctly. Nevermind, ignore me. Just kill the master as they said...
  8. But the newly summoned model would take damage from the marker, right?
  9. Immolate can put him off summoning from that corpse counter for a turn, on account that there's a 50mm flame pillar on top of it. After that you could stick a flame wall on top of the counter as it only has to be more than 1" from other models.
  10. Maybe, but I think they'll be wanting to balance out all the starter boxes to a certain extent to remove another barrier to entry. At the same time I imagine Wyrd will be wanting to show off the new artwork and model concepts. Some times these two goals won't mach up. That's my theory anyway.
  11. Thanks. I tend to do a black undercoat for the majority of models. I find it helps with shading and use many thin layers to build up the colour. I use white undercoats on more fleshy models (like my Tyranids) and do much the same as you
  12. That's the best Sidir I've seen to date! The whole crew has a wonderfully realistic scheme and you've executed it very well. I'm a sucker for subtlety
  13. The red on that inifinity model is highlighted to perfection. you've got the balance between smoothness and contrast spot on.
  14. Thank you. The male gunsmith is going to have a matching colour scheme.
  15. I'm going to put another order in now that I've seen that Sarissa have expanded their range- http://www.sarissa-precision.co.uk/store/oldwestHR/ The corner hotel, gallows and wagon are going to be added to the collection. I'm planning on trying the corner hotel as the 'hill' in Master of the Hill.
  16. Finished my female gunsmith Gonna make a start on the male gunsmith tomorrow so more cloaky goodness on it's way
  17. Hi guys, I'm planning on running a beta-testing league from June 9th to July 7th. The league will be hosted at:- Sunderland Games Club St Peter's Campus Sunderland Tyne & Wear SR6 0DD This will be your first chance to try out the new rules and see the changes to your favourite models. All feedback can be submitted to Wyrd and may influence the final game. Who's interested?
  18. Remember guys, Eric J tweeted that the preview art doesn't necessarily indicate the box contents.
  19. Wow! I really like your style. It pseudo-anime IMO and totally in keeping with the crew. You've got good solid colours and nice smooth shading/highlights. All this is coming together to produce a nice consitent feel through the crew. I would really like a group shot to see the crew all together.
  20. I'm loving the original colour scheme for Colette and Cassie, I can't wait to see them done. And the way you paint stockings fills me with bitter, bitter jealousy.
  21. Very nice. I love you're colour chooce with this crew. They all tie in together nicely and have a cohesive look.
  22. Female gunsmith WIP Sorry about the glossiness, the varnish will sort that out.
  23. Fantastic mate. Brilliant bit of modular terrain.
  24. I did, but decided against it in the end as I figured the model would end up too dark.
