  1. Both of the masters you have chosen I use regularly and enjoy. They have a bit more depth then just Pig Factory and Obey, though they are subtle masters who are sorta intended to sit in the background and order minions around. For in your face masters with a western feel then any of the Guild masters will do. As you pointed out this is a first release so each master is going to be sorta limited right now. Warmachine and Hordes had a similar problem when your choices were all contained in one book.
  2. The Reaper Hats pack is a bit small for the typical Malifaux Mini...but if you add a little Greenstuff you can make them work.
  3. Here is the link from the Reaper miniatures forum for the dry rotted wood technique I use for my Gremlin crews as well as the tin mix. Painting Aged Wood There are also a few other aged wood suggestions in the thread that might help you out. If you have any questions let me know.
  4. I assume you are looking for something like this: If so I have the recipe for both the wood and the tin.
  5. Dont forget that the giant skeeters can also help with the pig boomerrang shenanigans. They are a major part of placing pigs after buffing and lining up the pigcharges you want then activating them so they stampede, and finally returning them safely to your lines (under control). Also remember that pigcharges require LOS to the closest target so if you can block LOS with either interveening terrain or medium/large base models (Warpig is great for this) you can exercise a bit more control over your pigcharges.
  6. Exactly what I would recommend for those looking for good kit bashing materials. White wash city is a phenomenal deal. I can repost a link if anyone wants it.
  7. These work well for the cards, BCW Hard Plastic Card Sleeves
  8. Now that is an interesting modification. I absolutely love it.
  9. Like Paperbag4 said So'mer isn't quite as weak as most lament. I have had great success using him, all I can say is he is not push button like most masters he requires a fair bit of finesse.
  10. Great job on the gremlins, especially love the grey coats.
  11. These are absolutely fantastic. It is awesome to see how many people have posted their gremlins in similar poses to what I did. Makes me mad that I wasn't able to post pixs of mine before coming out to California for a three month school. My favorite is the loungin banjo player with the eye patch.
  12. Simply beautiful. Your blending is top notch especially noticible on the warpig.
  13. These are very well done. We have a lot of similar ideas for basing the Gremlins.
  14. Nicely done especially like the bases and back drop. Only critic I can give is that the arms on the one holding the shotgun with both hands look odd.
  15. Great job, love the scheme. Agreed on the hair. Perdita must own the Abs of Steel exercise videos. Only question I have is why the two tone base?
  16. Like the effect on the Bette Noir. She definitely appears ghostly.
  17. I figured the Reckless loop hole wouldn't last. The tightening of the rules is making me wonder what Wyrd has in store for the Gremlins in the future.
  18. To this I can only quote; Had a bunch more I was going to comment on but it has pretty much already been covered, so I wont kill it. :dead: Now if you threw some wings on him and made him a flying pooping piglet that would be absolutely hillarious. Question for you, l Love the piglets skin, what is the recipe if you dont mind?
  19. The pictures are washing out the paintjob quite a bit. Try not to use the flash on the camera and instead use more filtered (indirect) lighting. I think you'll be surprised at how much better your pictures will turn out. And to parrot what has already been said the bases are good.
  20. I agree with Godspeed, Lady Justice just looks better in white. Also love the felt on the bases, thought I was the only one who did that.
  21. It is a stick of dynamite that he is holding in his mouth. Most people seem to leave it off though.
  22. 30 SS is a great Size for the Gremlin Crew. It allows for a competitive list without giving our opponent the edge. Much more or less and things quickly go the opposite way.
  23. Sucks that I'll be out in California for a school. Was looking forward to bringing the Good'ol Boys again.
  24. Reminds me of the white queen from the marvel comics Hellfire club or Two Faces Good Girl from the Batman movie. Not a bad job and good to see an alternate scheme then the usual goth chick.
  25. If you can get your hands on a copy of the GW How to paint Citadel Miniatures book, the Witch Elf Tutorial might produce the look your going for.
