The reason for this is quick/flexibility in list building and also the lack of dice. There are a lot of aspect of the game that reduce randomness and this makes it the most competitive game currently out on the market. ( just think of the rules that other games have) This makes cuddling pigs so hard for me, it was not the activation control but the damage they caused, If your opponent had a model down to 1wound and wanted to guarantee it is dead (no flips) you walk up a pig and blow it up. That was the biggest NPE my group did no like about them.( and my luck with crows and rams). PS: hope they make Rjoker 14 any suite and Bjoker just 0 no suite, and take out the damage and non-cheating aspect( the last random swingy game effect left)

For me the "non summoning somer" is I don't have the 9's to use turn one because of the extended alpha strike. This game is all about alpha strikes these days for most part, I wish GG2018 was all scheme based ( take out eliminate,frame,quick,hunting) Wiping your opponents models off the table is equivalent to counter scheming anyway, you should not be rewarded for it as well. ( I love headhunter as it punishes players for gun-lining without actual plan to pick up the heads)

My go to list now is: Somer -Pull my finger/Dirty Cheater Skeeter x2 Iron Skeeter x2 Franc Raph Pere Bayou Gremlin x4 Most likely will stay this way for all of 2018 as well

The way it reads to me: End condition do 2dmg to model and 2dmg 2" pulse stop If model is killed do 4dmg 2" pulse One or the other, effectively 2 options Otherwise if you read it together it sounds like you would do 2dmg pulse and 2dmg to model, and followed up with 4dmg pulse after (6 total) IDK tho

I don't disagree that gremlins have some of the worse internal balance, cuddling another option to the ground will skew our "tournament" list building even more. They killed Lenny ( who was poopy to begin with ) ~ killing Ophelia in the process ( who was just OK before) They reduced rooster riders, never even had the chance to play with them Now killed pigs from list building, making melee crews have to move up into gunfire turn 1 (Mah and Ulix) What I disagree the most off is your above post, Bushwackers and Survivors don't just need cost adjustment, they need 100% ability and rules rework. They suffered from "new model syndrome" and were not tested properly. I have never EVER seen one of these models hit the table other than "I tested it once and sucked" feedback from others.

My $2: The biggest upset for me is they tried to look at the rules and created "balanced" rulings on 3 out of 4 errata. The stuffed pig comes across as "they might be to strong, lets up the SS cost by 1" ..... This is 50% increase, how would you like if we bumped everyone favorite doppleganger from 7ss to 10ss? In simpler terms, its like reducing sillurid cost from 7ss to 6ss and not changing anything about their rules, suddenly they are just too good. I agree with previous posted that the pigs were in the 2.5 SS gray area, too good at 2 and now too poopy for 3 (because bayou gremlins) Also for a "horde" army that gremlins should be, our minions are miffy because of our 7ss enforcer/henchmen are rare 1 over performers ( in some cases) I have played 6x stuffed list in every gremlin lists and there are counters and disadvantages to doing this (outside of clear advantages) I wish they actually did some "creative cuddling" Stuffed should have always Had to explode and their rare value should be based on taxidermists (+3 rare value)and pigapult (+6 rare value) that you would hired This way you would most often hire 1 taxidermist and 3 pigs as a side list ( 13ss for 4 activation ~ compared to 12ss for 4 bayous) Or if you wanted to run a fluffy list of 2 taxidermists and 6 stuffed (26 stones)

by your definition just play pandora / dople push push move move and hit her with your highest card + crow for paralyze If they did not take Chiaki its over. Also Tannen is a great reactive model with cooler aura, and so is the emissary with hungry land markers Funny thing is if you use all 3 models the emissary will be able to copy the cooler aura from Tannen and double it up

also she need LOS to the markers so lylyth and her forests are quite the menace to her

I have to agree with the above poster. You said there is a chance for 2 undefeated players, there is also a chance there will be none. I don't think adjusting scheduled 2 days before convention opening is a good idea... especially since the time frame has been planned out months in advance. Like the above poster I am leaving on Sunday as I have other plans with my family, my schedule works if left as is but if you change it now that will put nova open championship in a very bad light. Spending 100''s of $$ just to play one tournament and have it flopped on me wont entice me to ever come back again. If you feel uncertain about number of games, add an extra game for all to enjoy on Saturday. That way in your light we can have a definite winner, otherwise we just follow the same standard all malifaux tournaments use which is TP/ DIFF/ VP, nothing wrong with that.
