I agree with Nilus, I have read profiles and thought wow that is powerful but when we actually sat down and played it out it seemed to a lot more balanced then first glance. One thing also to keep in mind the is a scenario based game. Sure Hamlin seems OTT, but play against him in a slaughter scenario and all those ease to kill and summon rats turn into a huge negative.

I really do not understand why that needed to be changed. It used to be that mort rarely pull corpses with his dig up body spell, they changed it and now he is pulling up a corpse every turn. I imagine that they wanted to stop the part that usually followed get the stick, where people would kill the chihuahua for more body parts.

I not sure how Pandora would work, my guess is before you can get the real work done you will have to take out the ratcatchers first then you can start working on thinning out the herd. The rats are not tough at all, but they are very easy to bring into play and killing them really does not matter if they are close enough to either Hamlin or a Ratcatcher. I was think about other options that could work and Obey may work out fairly well against a standard Hamlin list.

I would think that anything that can sacrifice enemy models would work fairly well, also I would consider using lure to pull ratcatcher or other key models out. It also sounded like Fears worked out. As for masters I would think McM would do well, as for a list I would think I would include Flesh constructs, crooked men, rotten belles, maybe a hanged to force moral duels.

Thats how I painted mine, I started with dark red/browns and work up to a rich green, then highlighted with yellow. I will often will use a thinned out dark green paint to accent lines. To smooth out the blending I will go over the entire skin area with a green wash. If I get around to it I will post a picture tomorrow.

WoW is a social game, it can be tons of fun if you have a bunch of people that you know gaming with you. If you do not have any friends in the game then it blows processed monkey chunks.

Not bad, my workload seemed a little less crazy so far this week and I may work on my rotten harvest entry tonight. I have evil dead 2 bookmarked with my netflix, so that may be a good show to have running in the background. And because we would never have anything to talk about if the weather never changed it is a nice 60ish temp out now, with more rain in my future, about par for Kansas.

With Kirai things can go well if you have the trumps to trigger her spells or very poor if you do not. This even extends to her typical crew that she will hire. This makes managing the cards in your hand very important. This crew will cost a bit more then others and it is fairly easy to summon in new models.

Also there are quick start rules in the Light and the Dark starter sets. I would highly recommend getting the core rule book, It is a very nice quality both in art and production.

I love the game but they are just a little on the fiddly side with how soft the metal is and how wonky they are on how they cut the models down for casting. My friend has this model and he had not have any problems with it breaking yet, but there has been a fair amount of bending going on.

Another options to think about is to use Dumb and lucky on Ophelia, it makes her one hell of a damage dealer. With her paired weapons the other player is going to have to throw cards at her attacks just to save their skin. I did give the Taxidermist a try this last weekend and it work out well. The biggest thing was he did not come into play towards the end of the game when I had a few dead gremlins. The summoned stuff piglets did not have any real effect in this last game, but if I am fighting stuff that drops corpse counters I imagine that will change greatly.

I believe the easiest way to deal with Lady J is to put a potato in the tailpipe of the other players car before they can head to the LGS.

1. true 2. true, but there are exceptions, those are listed with either the master or the totem. 3. true 4. I believe that is true. I think the rules about totems is under the force construction rules in book 1, but it sounds like you have everything correct.

Book 3 is going to be mostly about the special forces. I doubt it will have another 90 or so models added to the line, so maybe it will get bulked up with schemes, strategies, and stuff like campaign rules. If we get a henchman upgrade from the Ressers I would like to place my vote for Bette Noir.

One of the things I have been thinking about doing is taking out Pere and the slop hauler from my standard Ophelia list and replacing them with a Gremlin Taxidermist and 2 more gremlins. The idea is to reckless the gremlins to death then use their corpse counters to summon in stuffed piglets. As far as I can tell this should be kosher as it only lists hiring restriction with Ophelia and not summoning.

For the most part there is only 2 of us that has stuff and play, now there are other people that will play, but that is only if they borrow some of my stuff.

The only faction I do not have anything for is arcanist, but if I had to say I supported any one faction it would be the ressurectionist. I am slightly surprised at the current vote count, I would have thought that the guild will have a higher number then it currently holds. It must be that guild is oppressive and they do not like taking polls.

Well the direct order I made from them was a different story and in the end I forced them to give me back my money. I have a low tolerance for being lied too. When you follow that up with some of the crap they pulled or tried to, it did not go well. I have been told that the people in charge when my experience happened had been dealt with, but that really does not matter anymore. I can give you the full story but I would like to avoid making this too much of "Bash the other game" thread.

Infinity is highly recommended, if you are on the fence I would suggest going to their download section. You can get a copy of the rules and profiles and give the game a test drive before you commit any cash. As for Dark Age, I have nothing good to say about that company and I wish them nothing but failure. Very harsh thing to say but they have a lot to learn about customer service. It is not very sci-fi but if you can get past the fruffy parts Anima Tactics is a very good game.

Well The Ramos game was interesting today. Kirai was getting owned badly, I was having trouble making spells go off because of poor pulls for trump cards. I am fairly sure that tricky Ramos changed all my card trumps to rams. Anyway the game pulled up a little towards the end, there was a bad use of an exploding spider swarm which had little effect on the Kirai which changed the dynamics a little. We called it when it was a mostly fine Ramos Vs. Ikiryo, a badly hurt Onryo, a Gaki, and a badly hurt Datsu-ba.

I have had a number of games now that book two is out and so far the outcome has not been good for the old masters, at least Nico. What I am interested in is how other games are matching up when a book 2 master or henchman is used and they are played against a book 1 master. My main opponent is a Nico player and has been for a while, well he has lost a few nail bitters against Ophillia and Kirai has given him nightmares. Is this common or just a bad matchup. We are going to test if it is just an issue of bad matchup today and play a Kirai v Ramos game, so maybe it will be much more even.

Jack Daw would be nice for the card draw, but he is just so expensive to take in a crew.

Moral duels are just not that big a deal in this game. With all the constructs, undead, and spirits it is just an aspect of the game that does not have that much meaning. Lure on the other hand is very annoying to deal with, most of the time the only chance I have at resisting is with the card that is flipped, and only if they did not cast it with some crazy high value card.
