  1. Great article on the BBC website, too. Make sure you watch the video and the slideshow: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/technology/8376028.stm
  2. I'm not writing about a toilet. Toilets kind of freak me out. I mean... its a chair that you poo in. That's gross.
  3. Damn, Salma Hayek is hot. I've always had a thing for her. +1 for Salma as Perdita. Summer Glau for Rusty Alyce would be awesome. She's youthful and batshit crazy.
  4. I can't tell my left from my right. That's the issue.
  5. I'm going to buy it. Awesome. I haven't been this pleased with a miniature line since... ahhh... What was that Nathan? Oh, right, Wyrd!
  6. Making miniatures is a learning process. I think it is fascinating to see the evolution of the Wyrd line. Remember that Wyrd began producing miniatures primarily for the painting hobbyist. Wyrd continues to attract elite painters from around the world with their Iron Painter and other painting contests. In recent years, I know it has been a growing consideration to make a selection of models that are more gamer friendly (a primary example is the Convict Gunslinger,) but I believe it will always be a goal of Wyrd to produce miniatures that are attractive to casual and competitive painters. (I speak in no official capacity, only voicing my personal view on the topic.)
  7. I haven't been to Adepticon for a few years but if there's Malifaux, there, I'd be up for some games.
  8. The trailer seems to have many of the scenes from the first movie. I am a -huge- fan of the first movie, probably my all time favorite.
  9. You are not the first questing traveler to ask this question: Where is the Breach? The answer I gave there was: "It goes without saying that Wyrd Earth is different than the earth we know. That's obvious in the names used for places we know that are slightly different: New Amsterdam, Old London, Nippon, and The Three Kingdoms. The Breach is located in the west, in what we would call California but is known only as The Frontier on Wyrd Earth." In the first book, it was our decision to focus on the City of Malifaux. I think you will find that subsequent books will broaden that scope slowly so that you get a picture of what's happening not only on Wyrd Earth, but have a greater sense of the world Malifaux belongs to, as well. The reason New Amsterdam is referenced in that passage is because if Malifaux is the extreme west end of East-West Steam Transit's main line, New Amsterdam is the extreme east end of it, both cities located on the same continent (though through The Breach of the Great Barrier.)
  10. Ugh, that means I represent 1.228% of the posts on here. I need to get some work done at work.
  11. I've loved almost every mini they've produced. Gorgeous stuff.
  12. Someone prodded me and told me that I should post a picture of myself in the Show Your Face thread. I'm originally from Gallifrey, though I spend a lot of time in London and Cardiff. Currently, I'm living in 2009.
  13. I'm a huge fan of the Dark Tower, as well. I think Bishop is a perfect fit for the Tick Tock Man. Well done!
  14. Yes. Stephane Enjolras is Steph. Also-Known-As Psycho Dad.
  15. It's just the arm holding the gun that I have an issue with. If she had to hold it to her side, there were plenty of other positions the rifle could have been held in. I think the rifle butt on the ground with her hand high on the barrel would have been much better.
  16. Already a lot of discussion on it: RPG Discussion
  17. I'm almost completely positive (75%) that page 89 was done by -Pablo Quiligotti.- EDIT: I was wrong, Nathan says it was Steph.
  18. The issue with playing against the Guild is that the Guild learning curve is very brief, where-as with Arcanists and Outcasts (and some Neverborn) the curve is a bit longer. Rasputina is a bit of a glass cannon. Her Ice Mirror is where he strength seems to be. You've got to keep her out of range or out of LOS of the Guild's guns and bounce your spells onto them through your Golem and Gamin. Don't be afraid to run-run-run your Gamin into place and then activate 'Tina to blast away. I think Ramos plays a lot like a Rez master. His spiders are for throwing away and then rebuilding. Marcus is a much more straight-forward list. It's melee-focused which may still be a bad match-up for you, but the models he can bring to the board are super-speedy.
  19. The terms are not explained explicitly, but hints into the nature of Rasputina and December's arrangement are revealed in her conversation with him, when she dreams of him after being knocked unconscious by Lilith.
  20. The question was rhetorical! It was meant to suggest a possible answer to his question with another question!
  21. Where did December get his power? That's what I'd like to know!
