  1. I am loving this one, and may have to pick up my first ever Rackham mini when its out!
  2. Yaaay! Many happy returns, hope you have a great day!
  3. Yaaay! Good old Coventry postal service, even managing to screw thing up for residents in Manchester now! In respects to Wyrd and UK posting, I have had nothing but positive experiences ordering directly from the Wyrd store (despite living in Coventry, with our nimble fingered postmen...) All my items ordered have been with me within a week, even the free random scmuck prizes from competitions and the like.
  4. Tell her there was a bomb on the website and if you didn't spend £45 then the bomb would go off, and hope she hasn't seen the film 'Speed'.
  5. really nice work, i love those deep, brooding reds! The back of the scroll looks like it needs something too though, perhaps more writing or a coat of arms type symboly thingy?
  6. Does the bottom one remind anyone else of the Junk lady out of the film Labryinth?
  7. Loveley work, and a true contender for this years Golden demon open category, or perhaps even better a theme for Iron painter! Been ages since I done this and you have made me go all nostalgica-ey!
  8. :laugh:Vikey and hinton, feelin the love! Are you sure its 'just' a birthday you share!
  9. we did our Varghulf in half an hour, and it looks spot on! The regiment look great all ranked up! My only thing that I feel looks a little iffy is the skull on the banner. With the greatest of respect, it looks like the type of skull a child would draw- have a look through the army book, and even on the skelly models, and skulls have a bit more detail to them (the eyebrow ridge for example). Banners are a focal point of any unit and as such deserve a bit more care and attention. Sorry if I sound harsh (i aint very good with words!), but as it stands I feel it is letting an otherwise fantastic unit down. Those spirit host rock! I am really not a fan of those miniatures, but the way you have painted and set them on the base really brings the spirity feel out of the sculpts.
  10. I thought this was great until I scrolled down and saw the 2nd picture, you can see why they put the side on picture first, the front torso is fugly.
  11. Yaaay! These ;ook rea;;y coo;. I love the colour scheme you have chosen and also the verdis effect on the metals too. I do love the new undead minis!!! I have just finished the corpse cart for the Coventry store (and someone has broke it already after lending it for a game! nothing that can't be fixed though!), and that was great fun to work on, and not as complicated as it first seemed, working on the characters next, although these are for my own collection as the store only got sent quite limited samples this release (no sexy new vampires!) The Varghulf is a gorgeous model and suprisingly quick to paint,You will have a blast working on it!
  12. Yaaaay!!!! Congratulations Eric Wishing you both every happieness! I find marraige to be weird, but extremley cool weird, where nothing really changes but everything changes, and its all ace. (sorry, I aint too good with words, poet Lauriet can sleep safe tonight)
  13. Hiya Tony, welcome to Wyrd mate, and when are you gonna get some of your pictures up here? Your word bearers dread rocked and it would be cool to see some other bits!
  14. Sorry! at a re-read, that post sounded a bit arsey, it wasn't intended that way, its just difficult sometimes to try and convey a point in writing without tone of voice to assist!
  15. I saw these on Halloween, and the pictures really don't do them justice! The skellies are far more in scale, as opposed to the current ones, which are the same size as humans, even without their flesh and skin! (although I have to agree with the horn musician, although ITS FANTASY! and if people are gonna nitpick about an animated skellies capacity to play the trombone (geddit!) then they may as well get funny about a skelly coming back to life anyway! The corpse cart is amazing(and plastic too!), and I love the characters. There are some sexier stuff that hasn't been shown still to come though! Roll on March! Orks is best
  16. The cold one is a 3 up, so set the debigulator to -3 and you will have the correct scale! Those squigs are bomb squigs, tankbustas can take them, point them in the direction of vehicles and yell 'sick 'em boy!!!' Thats a trukk, and not a battlewagon, you build it from the chasis up, and it has loads o cool possibilities! Cheers for the link monkey boy, there are a load I missed at the event! That FW preacher rocks!!! There are some painted orcs in Mattys link too
  17. I love him!!! Great work, and caught my eye in the cabinets! I think the face mask could have done with a bit more highlights though to help them stand out, especially around the eye/mouth slits. Do you have pictures of the whole army anywhere? I would love to see them
  18. Looking good, I personally am glad you went with the Lego, reckon the bone weapon really suits the piece. Do you plan on doing anymore with the base?, it feels a bit unfinished still to me.
  19. I really really LOVE this! The fact that something this stunning took a bronze makes me look at my UK entry this year and just want to give up. Whilst I would have echoed Green stuffs comments about the European Demons 6 months ago, the US competitions have really REALLY upped their game recently and produced some absolutley stunning pieces.
  20. I tend to use a lot of dark red, which I hadn't noticed until this thread! I feel like I am in a stuck in a rut phase at the minute, and my painting just doesn't seem to be improving (I wouldn't mind if I were a much better painter, but there is definatley room for improvement, it just aint happening!)
  21. As its a Boxer dog, call it Bruno, after Frank Bruno the loveable boxer! Is he taking a slash on Nathans t-shirt in that first picture?
  22. It was me FF!!! Yep, I did those! (I can't back that up really, especially as I wasn't even in the country let alone the convention, but you can't blame a bloke for trying!) Thanks for those Michelle, Some great photo's there and nice to see some 'fairytale' fantasy there as opposed to wargame fantasy too (hope you know what I mean by that!)
  23. Sure Guy, no problems. Hope something there comes in useful! Just remember to keep us posted mate!
  24. Hiya! welcome, its about time someone kept Nathan in check round here!
