Painting sheer fabric requires very thin paint and patience. Paint your model's skin as you normally would. Then take your sheer fabric color and thin it to the point where when you brush it over a paper towel that it shows pigment slightly. Begin to layer on the color over the skin color. After several coats you will begin to notice the sheer color showing. Repeat until desired depth of color is achieved.

I haven't tried the P3 primer but I haven't heard anything good about it. I will avoid it. I use Duplicolor sandable primer as well. Suggested by Fluffy back when she was still with PP and I have been using it ever since. Great stuff. Get it at Advance auto parts or Autozone.

This is not an uncommon problem anymore unfortunately. ER waits are becoming incredibly long these days. I think part of it is due to people going to the ER when it isn't necessary (such as a head cold) but it doesn't excuse the wait time when the problem is apparent when you do triage. Good to see that you didn't stand for it. It is ridiculous for us to pay so much for healthcare only to be treated poorly.

No, I don't really know where Chris got his bases from for the Legion of Sorrow. The few ice bases I have for my Cult of December are from Epicast. I have a few Dark Age ice base inserts that are attached to my WIP Hoarcat Pride and December Acolyte. And thanks!

My Sonia box and additional fate deck are on order! Going to start working on the Ramos box tonight. I think Ramos vs Sonia would be a neat intro to Malifaux for demos. Added some more stuff for Rasputina to play with too. I couldn't help myself.

That is a terrain piece that our awesome LGS has. I think he got it from a trip to Historicon. Not terribly sure. I will ask him. I forgot to add to the post above that we flipped for random events every turn, and none of them went off over the 6 turns.

Not so much a battle report, but just a quick set of pics from a game last week. I kept forgetting to post them up here. Early into it, an Ice Gamin makes a run for the treasure. Raspy, another Ice Gamin and the Ice Golem are off to the right behind the building. The Ice Gamin realizes that his life is crap and his daddy didn't love him and sits still on the treasure. Brooding. Raspy puts up some invisible ice pillars. Ice Golem gets hit by something that I don't remember and ASPOLODES!!1! taking out two other Gamin. Raspy craps a brick and puts up more Ice Pillars. Candy sneaks around the corner. Raspy had machine gunned the rest of Team Emo down. Raspy prepares to kill Candy (which is quickly shunted to the Sorrow). Down to two models! Raspy wins Initiative and......WTF WHIFFS ON ALL CASTINGS. Candy stabs Raspy in the face. God I love this game.

What are Ice Gamin? Things to fire Raspy's spells through. Oh and grenades.

The highlight of my Gen Con was getting to learn Malifaux, play it with friends while spreading the word of the game and getting to chat with everyone during my 56,978 (or so ) visits to the Wyrd booth. From our demo on Thursday night, to our game with Ambrose teaching us on Friday night to drinking and teaching the game ourselves in a friend's hotel room on Saturday night I had an absolute blast with the game. Every person involved in the game was awesome. And I am constantly amazed at after only really seeing Nathan at cons how nice it is that he recognizes us and says hey. Makes you feel part of the crew. Anyway, mushy stuff aside this game kicks ass and I can't for Rasputina to blast Lady Justice in the face. Again.

Picked up some Arcanists at the show. Rasputina box set and Ramos box set. Getting started on cleaning and assembly in order to try to get painted up to play when the game is released at Gen Con!

I love the Lizard. It looks like an old fashioned, but futuristic robot. Very cool. The others I think are fine, but they don't appeal to me as much as the Lizard does.
