dzlier 898 Posted August 18, 2022 Report Share The quintessential OSL Wyrd model IMO, such great surfaces like his beard and the hat. Love the skull on the base. Quote Link to comment
KID55 291 Posted August 18, 2022 Report Share Cool, but I've made spider's body even darker to increase dramatic effect Quote Link to comment
Hawkoon 779 Posted August 18, 2022 Report Share The lighting effect is good. I am a bit curious if the transition through green is intentional or if it's just because the colours are mixing with the blue ambient light. This makes the whole composition seem a bit surreal and works against the whole impression. My advice would be to break the falloff towards a dark red or pure black before mixing in with the blue ambient light to avoid the green all together. Quote Link to comment
Lokibri 232 Posted August 18, 2022 Report Share nice contrasts and I love how you created such a divide on everything including the base Quote Link to comment
Stevelangelo 17 Posted August 20, 2022 Report Share Great action scene and focus on the spider's face. Quote Link to comment
VikingRage 11 Posted August 21, 2022 Report Share Great scene, the osl is quite good, the light off of the lamp seems to go a bit further around objects than feels completely right, and I am not completely sure if the green is supposed to be from the eyes of the bandersnatch or what. Some deeper shadows might help guide the eye better with this specific purpose, buuuuut you did a great job painting a gorgeous model!! Quote Link to comment
LinenMusician 229 Posted August 23, 2022 Report Share Green light on spider's legs and face looks interesting. I Like osl and colour composition, great work! Quote Link to comment
SpannerRider 38 Posted August 23, 2022 Report Share The strong split between light and dark with this piece is well done, it has the feel of how some horror movies show a space that is really dark to the characters in the scene but they want the audience to see details of the monster to me. The only thing that is a bit off putting is quite how megawatt those bandersnatch eyes are to be throwing that much light out, at least that's what it seems like with the green on the hat, otherwise I'd think it was just the firelight hitting it. digbaddy72 10 Posted August 24, 2022 Report Share Great use of light and dark colors!! One of my top 3! Quote Link to comment
Silver_lining_minipainting 135 Posted August 25, 2022 Report Share great presentation of a great sculpt. For me the shadows can be darker still, mostly focusing shadow reflections on the spiders head and legs. Quote Link to comment
King of Draconis 26 Posted August 25, 2022 Report Share Nice use of colours, the shades on the guy and the skull are really cool Quote Link to comment
Dench 20 Posted August 25, 2022 Report Share Nice work atmosphere. The author did a good job of lighting up. IMHO, the shadows are better to make darker. Otherwise, the author is well done, he painted the scene perfectly) Quote Link to comment
