I haven played much of that format, but I'm thinking Valedictorian or Toshiro, a Punk Zombie, a Dead Doxy (to push the Punk Zombie, then maybe a Rotten Belle. Thoughts? Tips? Gnomezilla Posted February 13, 2017 Report Share Posted February 13, 2017 At last month's henchman hardcore there were St. Vincent St. Diesel and three shieldbearers (third place--the AP advantage was valuable); also Archie, Yin, Hayreddin (free +dmg flips, I think?), and Graveyard Spirit (protection for Archie). The list's goal is basically to form an unassailable castle that drags in people and murders them. Through the set of unnerving auras and Jaakuna's hazardous terrain, a model without armor can expect to take between 7 and 10 damage just for activating too close to the ball. Attacking the ball is... unpleasant. Valedictorian will be Hard to Wound 1, Armor 3, Terrifying 12. Jaakuna is incorporeal, Armor 2, Manipulative 12. Yin is Terrifying 12, armor 2, and a mass of viscera. If everything is "working" enemy models that have Gnawing Fear on them basically activate, fail their terror/manipulative checks, then die. Things to watch out for: Armor: Because this list does so many hits with small sources of damage, armor REALLY cuts into the damage potential of the list. Thankfully you have Yin and Val there to actually kill stuff, but armor puts a noticeable dent in your lethality. Black Blood: I haven't specifically run into this yet, but all these sources of damage and black blood will NOT get a long. Fetid Strumpet Posted February 13, 2017 Report Share Posted February 13, 2017 Or keep them further than 1" out. All models in the crew who will be attacking have at least a 2" Melee Range. They don't all have to ball up to give every model the armor bonus. But yes since the strat requires bunching in the board, you are aiming to get as many overlapping aura onto the enemy as possible. I did buy both the Graveyard Spirit Jaakuna Ubume a while ago and haven't had the time to use them. Might as well be in HH!
