  1. So, when a model is Obeyed to take an action do they get access to ANYTHING that that model could do with that action that is not necessarily part of the action itself? The example that prompted my query is this: Gracie needs to activate to kill something for "Eat your fill" stating that "After killing or sacrificing an enemy model, this model may choose to heal all damage it has suffered and end its Activation.". My opponent wanted to activate Zorida to Obey Gracie to make the attack for her, can Obey cause this ability to take place?
  2. Have been a VS player since day one when I first got into the game over 2 years ago, he was awesome fun then, and is still just as fun if not MORE now. Just had a game today actually that left me and my opponent reeling, managed to shut down a Snow Storm with Hannah and her bury upgrade by having it buried in turns 2, 3 AND 5 (won activation each of those turns, and it was a Void Wretch that buried it on the 5th turn). Also managed to pull off Assassinate on Colette in that game which was risky to pick but the Scheme pool was lacking much else worth taking. As above, a Void Wretch with the VON is pretty good too if you get your activations right, Hannah buries him and the VW uses 2AP to heal the bugger. end of turn he is back out on the field and ready to pop another fool. So upon re reading the rules on bury/unbury I have come across something quite spectacular... "When unburying models, if the models do not physically fit in the specified location, they are placed in their controller's deployment zone by the player who controls them." Meaning that you can bury a model using Hannah and then have her (or another model on a 40 or 50mm base simply stand on the void marker and BAM!... "Do not pass GO, Do not collect $200"
  3. I was the same way (wanting more then 2 but not looking the same) so I just tore the wings of a Shikome...turned out alright in my opinion Altho the Shikome got the short end of the stick (wing?)
  4. Its supposed to be matte varnish, I think a combination of the camera flash and the not yet dry varnish makes it LOOK glossy (i dont like gloss either ) but thanks for the compliment

Viruk, I just checked out your painting blog and am now finding myself a little hesitant to post my pics when they are done :S I will post them but I aint gonna feel good about it EDIT: and here they are...(didnt really enjoy painting these in the end but they turned out acceptable atleast )
  6. @MudgeBlack: Yea I have reinforced each of the connections now with magnets, and its not alot stronger @Guardian: Like I just mentioned to MudgeBlack, having now reinforced them with more magnets I am still able to switch positions but they will now have to face the other way due to the positioning of the magnets (altho now that I think about it I could probably just pop the magnets of the viks feet and reverse them) Its not the first project with magnets either...I have about 9 individual (colour coded) Steampunk Arachnids that are each on a plastic cog with a metal washer under it and 9 30mm and 3 40mm bases loaded with magnets One other thing with the Viks that I was considering was to cut off the GIGANTIC Masamune and having the standard (non avatar) one magnetised as well and switching them when they avatar up, but it would have been pretty hard to keep the connection strong with only two small magnets

  8. If you are taking her with Ramos tho you can use the Mobile Toolkit to give both Ramos and Kaeris a +tomes to their CA meaning that you will already have both tomes to cast accelerant, too bad she cant take her own totems tho
  9. well as you (possibly) can see the sword vik has 4 small magnets arranged 2x2 as I thought that a single bar of magnets wouldnt keep her up right, and then there is a small washer visible for those magnets to grab and it holds her there very well (enough so that i can pick her up by (both av base and standard) with the gun vik I have arranged the magnets the same and also thought that she would need bigger/stonger magnets, but she stands fine, my drill ran out of charge so I have to wait to keep going but I have the avatar base all set up, the only difference being that the holes on the deck have two magnets side by side held in with some putty, just gotta finish the gun viks standard base and I can start painting I will post a pic of them all once i have finished drilling
  10. your first shot is an auto trigger, so you can get it off without a tome in the duel total as you already have the required 2, the next attack is then made at a -1 and a -tome to the cb so you will need to flip/cheat/ss a tome into the duel to be able to do it again all off the one AP for the attack
  11. Sup guys, not really a big forum poster but I felt like sharing my latest project that I have just begun. I am working on magnetising the avatar Vikis so that I may use them as both the avatar and the seperate Viks as I am not really a fan of the current moulds. First batch of pics: More to come

  13. Yeah, I am aware of the Rare 1 rule on them, and seeing as you can only cast Sebastians summon spell once a turn its not that much of an issue.

Yeah, thats how I used to look at it, but now I dont really mind using them as cannon fodder as they come quite cheap if you can pull them off with datsue-ba, they can always use the corpse counters out in combat as the dog/seb corpse counters will be fairly close to kirai, and thats not where I want the combat to be Thanks Morpsele
  15. Oh right the Surgery thing, I left out that I use that as a back up for when Into the Spirit World fails...which for me is alot. (which will work fine as she is still living at that point) I used to take the Librarian for the heals but that was damn expensive, but a Friekorps Spirit was freaking amazing... But yeah, I have played a few games with him in the crew but I will definately be playing some more of him thats for sure
