Rules Question: Models granting cover and Killing Minions

I tried searching for the answer to my questions, but either I didn't know what to look for or the answer wasn't there, I suspect the former.

1. Can a model claim soft vocer when the LoS is interrupted by a friendly model in front of it?

2. What if the firendly model is getting cover from terrain?

3. Is a minion allowed to kill a friendly minion?

1 Whilst a model can block line of sight, they do not provide cover, so if you can see the model at all behind the other model, then you can shoot it. Technically it doesn't have the blocking trait or obscurign trait required to provide cover

2 If there is a line of sight between the attackign model and the defending model you can ignore the intervening model for determining cover. You can't ignore what ever is giving the model cover.

The one exception to #1 is the new strongarm suit which explicitly states that it grants cover.

On #1, bizarrely other models actually do have the Blocking trait, but they are explicitly called out as not providing cover. It's a weird sort of rules hack.
