Willie's Wheelbarrow

question about Willie's ability, his rule is:

Wheelbarrow of Doom: During each walk action after the first this model performs in an activation this model may interrupt the move to place two (Blast) touching but not overlapping its base. Models touched by one or both of the (Blast) must win a DF-12 Duel or suffer 3 damage.

So what I was wondering about this was:

• Are they 2 separate (blast) that both need to touch his base or is it a (Blast)(Blast) chain, where one (Blast) touches Willie and the second touches the first? If they are separate do they both need to be placed at the same time or can you interrupt your move more than once?
  
• I assume Willie is also affected since he is touched by the blast as well? He has great armor against blasts and will only take one wound but I don't see anything that would make him immune to his own blasts. Is that correct?

Sounds to me like both blasts must touch Willie's base, and you're interrupting the move to place two markers so I'd say you must place two at the same time.

I think you're correct that Willie would be taking damage also, as there's no wording to suggest otherwise. If he failed the Df duel it'd be just the 1 wound he takes thanks to his armor, like you said.

I assumed that they were chained out blasts, the way blasts generally chain, but starting with him.

But yeah, it seems like he'd take the damage.

I used Willie the other day and I had the same questions Joe. What Carl and I decided was that both blasts are placed in contact with Willie's base. Both blasts were placed at the same time. Also because Willie is the origional target of the blast he is unaffected and does not take damage.

His own rule says models touched by one or more blasts. So he would be included imho. But just pass the df duel. Or suck down only 1 wound.

My assumption was that at the time he laced the blast, he wouldn't be effected, but if he came into contact with them afterword, he would, with any relevant modifiers. mostly because i was under the impression they go away after dealing damage. I'll have to reread his book entry.
