McMourning's 'Body Parts' rule

brother bart

Question

Hi, sorry if this has been answered...I checked the errata, FAQ, and model clarifications...but this didnt come up in any of them.

McMourning's stat card states that "This model may exchange 1 of its Corpse Counters for 2 Body Part counters at any time during its activation." Does this mean he can only convert one per turn? Or can he convert as many as he wants per turn and this is just stating the exchange rate? I assume he has to already be carrying them to convert them.

Also, is there any way Body Part counters would ever actually end up on the table? Since nothing actually produces them, save for abilities and spell effects that automatically transfer the counters to their respective models, do I need to actually model some Body Part counters like I would Corpse or Scrap counters? For instance, does a model carrying them drop them next to its corpse if it dies while carrying them?

Thanks in advance!

He can convert as many as he wants. You can compare the wording to something like Obey (Zoraida, Perdita) which limits the use to once per activation.

You are correct about the counters - if a model carrying a counter is killed, the counter drops at that spot. That's the only way I can think of for a body part counter to end up on the table.

But you can't drop counters has you like. Your Mcmourning needs to die for that. And i know you don't want that to happen

This. Also note that if your Chihuahua magical extensions Wracked With Pain it will gain a body part and drop it when it dies. This is a good way of getting an extra body part if you're doing first turn hack'n'summon shenanigans.
