Eisenhorn
If Levi hires Collodi as a henchman (Scrap not Brawl) can you then hire a stitched through Collodi?
0 tadaka
You cant thats the whole reason they are dolls not special forces doll. They set them up so no one could hire them out of the NB. Hope this helps
0 LastDinosaur
You cant thats the whole reason they are dolls not special forces doll. They set them up so no one could hire them out of the NB. Hope this helps It doesn't make any difference whether they're special forces or not... What's important is that they're neither constructs, undead nor Soulless and as such cannot be taken in the same crew as Leveticus. Furthermore Collodi doesn't have any rule that allows you to bring Dolls (be they special forces or not) with him if you couldn't have done so otherwise - ie. even if you could somehow hire Collodi with Rasputina you'd still not automatically be able to hire Dolls aswell. All Collodi does is lift the 'max two' special forces limitation, aswell as limiting himself to only dolls when leading the crew.
0 magicpockets
Same with Widow Weaver - her rule says she can be hired by any crew containing Collodi, but as she isn't undead, construct or soulless she can't be hired in a Levi crew that contains Collodi (as "can't" trumps "can" in Malifaux rules)
0 Keegantir
I am missing the can't in this case. Levi has a can and a can't. The can't is in regards to totems, and the can is in regards to what he can hire. That being said, I think that Levi's can will trump the Widow Weaver's can. 0 Kadeton
I am missing the can't in this case. It's not really a "can't" as written, but "can only" is semantically equivalent to a negation of the complementary set. i.e. "can only hire Constructs, Undead, and Soulless models" has the same meaning as "cannot hire any models other than Constructs, Undead, and Soulless". 0 Hapless Peon
However Specific Rules over-ride General Rules. Look at the Hodgepodge Effigy, it says it can be hired regardless of restrictions and by that same logic Widow Weaver's Specific rule will over-ride it as well. The precedent is set. 0 NBmaster
Not to get off the thread but this is a lot like the Nix only being hireable by Kirai, as she is the only master who can hire any spirit, with Hamelin the Rat catcher in the crew other than by Hamelin the Plagued of course. 0 Hapless Peon
Nix has a specific rule Haemlin's Dog that says it can only be hired by a crew containing a Friendly Haemlin. Doesn't specify the Plagued... Good Call.
