  1. Kind of gives me a warm bubbly feeling. Second to last post =) http://www.wyrd-games.net/showthread.php?18858-Pitch-your-Fifth-Master-ideas/page20&highlight=master+ideas
  2. Im trying to wrap my head around around the guild hounds extra movement ability. At first it seemed as though one guild hound (the last one to move) would always get left behind because it does not start its activation near the other hounds. However the guild hounds have companion which allows them to activate simultaneously. Does that simultaneous activation count as activating near other hounds when it comes time to use the ability even though there are no longer friendly dogs around?
  3. Alright then I think we play it correctly then. (with him dying that is) Jack flipped a Black Joker while damaging a model with suppressed memories. The Colette player then proceeded to walk jack into a corner, flick him with magicians duel once and kill him off... Serves him right for changing sides. Maybe next time he will realize the grass isnt always greener on the other side. Im interested to hear how the VP issue pans out.
  4. If Jack flips a black joker and your opponent gains control of him who makes his defense flips and or discards card to keep him alive. Also if he is killed while in under the control of your opponent how do the victory points work out in the end? Thanks
  5. Sorry if this is kind of an odd question but can a Totem Channel a spell that it is casting through magical extension? I couldnt find an answer via the search function.
  6. Wow over 30 views and four hours later there still isnt an answer... I didn't think it was that difficult of a question. Anyway after reviewing the rules and older posts involving Lady J and her ability to sac the Zombies using Last Rites I would say that not only is it possible but you are actually required to sac your mindless zombies each time you use arise. Arise doesn't give you an option to pick and choose the counters that are sacrificed because it states "all corpse counters". Am I correct or am I missing something?
  7. If you have several mindless zombies in play and Nicodem gets relocated 10 inches away can he then use arise to sac the current zombies and bring them back in at his location?
  8. A little thread I started back in May http://wyrd-games.net/forum/showthread.php?t=21090
  9. If Levi hires Collodi as a henchman (Scrap not Brawl) can you then hire a stitched through Collodi?
  10. It varies from game to game but most of the time he can get by with 3 – 5 stone. I have played game with two stones and have done just fine. I have also played games with five and haven’t needed to use any throughout the game. If you plan on running him with a henchmen you might want to run slightly more as Levi isn’t a terribly good support master Nope he can take both Collodi and Molly I never considered it because my book states its on a 40mm and I don’t currently own one. Anyway if you take the Large spider make sure that you take it for more than just its scrap. If it dies the scrap pile is nice to make the occasional SPA but DO NOT take it for the sole purpose of making cheap SPA’s. There are actually several reasons for this. First every one of Levi’s AP are precious and a potential death blow to one of your opponents models. Every spell being cast to kill your own model is one less unnatural wasting cast at your opponent. Second the spell which turns scrap into SPA is Entropic Transformation. Although the spell is easy enough to get off it does inflict 3 wds on Levi per cast. Since Levi only has 8wds you will only be able to get the spell of twice per turn. You really do not want to take Levi out of the game for two turns to just make 4 SPA’s. I think the best way to do it is to take two SPA to start the game with. Blitz Levi up field, hit something with unnatural wasting and then turn them into an SPA with entropic transformation and place it with the original two. Its important to use ET if you can because the SPA is just summoned whereas Necrotic Unmaking summons it into base contact of the killed model. Run the large spider up field and start killing stuff. If it dies during the game and drops the scrap partly up field that is ok to. That scrap pile can then be used to make some additional SPA’s in mid to late game when your original Desolation Engine has died and you have two SPA remaining. Levi can get them off fairly easy. The key is to get them to go off where your opponent has no chance to resist. Trust me your opponent will very quickly realize the potency of his spell and will throw everything at them to resist them. In general I think he has more of a dependency on crows than tomes but the ability to choose which suit he casts with helps him a great deal. Also don’t forget about death lessons and disciplined caster. When used together these two abilities can provide Levi with a decent amount of card manipulation. The waif cannot cast Entropic Transformation. It only has three wounds and you cannot reduce your wounds to 0 with that spell. I would say that 99% of the time I use the waif to either double walk into a better position or if I’m in range cast Tap Soul. Remember that the Waif has EMPTY BEING to cast Levi’s spell and not MAGICAL EXTENSION. The difference between them is that after using empty being the waif is sacrificed and im not to keen on leaving Levi any more vulnerable than he needs to be. For me the hardest part of learning Levi was the resource management of his wounds. You really kind of have to plan his whole turn out ahead of time and calculate the amount of wounds he will take throughout that turn. You also want to have a backup plan to kill off Levi if you have to. There is nothing that sucks more than to leave Levi living and to start the next turn with no cards in your hand.
  11. My guess is that its the Proxy that is the attacker since it is his ability. The Hooded rider should not have taken the test since he is immune to influence.
  12. I think everyone starts their Levi crew with the four SPA, desi engine, waifs and canine remains. That seems like the go to list to start and there is nothing wrong with that list. As you learn the master you will develop your own play style with him and you will then tailor your crew to that play style. Levi has so many choices that you can find a model for almost every situation. Of course this lead to what Karn often calls Analysis Paralysis. Right now I am normally running my Levi crews with two SPA to start and count on making the other two during the game. I have also been using rotten belles to go effect and the dead rider is almost always the first model in the crew. Molly even makes it into my crew from time to time. She has some excellent debuffs, can copy unnatural wasting, and can further support the belles.
  13. I agree with this 100%. Leveticus is by far the most expensive master in the game. He has so many options you can really tailor your list to exactly how you want and I think he is the only master that can draw models from every single faction. Of course this flexability comes with the added cost.
  14. Im not really a fan. Then again Im not a fan of most of her stuff either.
  15. Ok I see. Thanks for the explanation.
  16. Wait whaa... I dont want to look a gift horse in the mouth but it specificly states "This model cannot hire Totems." I understand if I can get one from Molly but to hire the grave spirit out right could change the whole way he plays.
  17. Excellent thank you. This just opened up so many possibilities.
  18. I played a fun scrap today with Levi and hired Molly into my crew. After the game my opponent suggested that since I had Molly that I should consider the grave spirit as well. This sparked a little debate. At first I didnt think I could do this because of Leveticus's rules which stated he cannot hire totems but the henchmen rules kind of contradict this. So which takes precedence? Levi's Rules that says He cant take a totem or henchmen rules which indicates that she can hire her own if she is included? P.S. Ratty's crew creator on the website allows it... so...
  19. I always Chuckle at the Pariah rules. Basically it says this outcast, this person that is shunned by society who no one wants to be around has more friends than anyone else in Malifaux... Not that im complaining.
  20. That's who I run him with but mostly against him. I still like the dead rider to sling shot Levi up field for some first turn mayhem.
  21. Yup. He's my new Rusty Alyce.
  22. Yes it is negated by the Box opens. The box opens isn’t making Ryle take any will power tests so he is not immune to it. Therefor any immunity that breach psychosis provides will be eliminated by the box opens making Ryle subject to WP tests.
  23. Im in the same boat. I cant wait to get the pale rider out on the table along side the other three. What would make it even better is if Avatar Levi was out there as well. Any ideas for him while we are at it?
  24. When one of Rasputinas ice pillars is destroyed is it removed entirely or does it follow the breakable terrain rules of becoming Ht 0 Sever terrain. I dont see anything on the card or in an errata that would prevent it from becoming the severe terrain.
  25. I took my brand new ashes and dust out for a game today for the first time and I have to say I was really expecting more from a 13ss model. Has anyone else found him under powered for the price or am I just ignorant in his use? If you have had success with him what have you run him with? It just seems that once you take A&D and the SPA you are very limited in what else you can take unless your playing a 45+ game. Even then your going to be grossly out activated. Any thoughts?
