spells into combat

I know that you have to make a morale duel to target ranged into melee what about spells (or if it only has the gun icon) and if your in combat can u cast a spell on someone out side of combat. I rechecked the rules and couldnt find a specific example of this so any clarification would be awesome.

I think the morale duel to shoot into combat has been removed all together - can someone confirm?

I believe magicpockets is right. No moral duel for:ranged attacks.

You just have to flip for target and remember that the new target gets +1 to the def flip for each model in Melee with it.

Spells with the icon operate the same as a ranged strike in this manner. Spells that just have say RG:18 but have no gun symbol can be flung willy-nilly into melee without consequence (mwahaha!)

if the target gets +1 def, I read that as plus to its DF, but if the resist is WP they would not get the bonus please let me know if this is correct or not.

that's for spells so no they don't have the bonus, and most of the time spells with a wp resist don't have a

RM pg. 44 par 3 "target recives +1 DF (or +1 to its resist stat if it is a ranged () attack spell) for each enemy model it is engaged with."

Sorry to say it's any stat they use to resist

But to confirm they removed the moral duel becuase it was just annoying.
