  1. My search skill is apparently weak, as every thread i have read has players agree that ice mirror has changed with the V2 update and that casting through the model with a attack both the caster and the model that the spell is bouncing off of with ice mirror must not be engaged with an enemy model. However I did not see any responses from a rules marshal confirming, and I am told that there is an official ruling out there some where that says that spell can be cast and that the model becomes the originator of the spell, but I am unable to find it yet. So I was wondering if some one could clear that up, along with some odd interactions. Silent One casts Ice wind through an Ice Mirror, range is 2 on a model with frozen heart, is the pulse measured from the model with Frozen heart or are pulses always from caster. It also states Models with Frozen Heart, including this model, heal 1 WD, would the Silent one heal 1 WD, even if it is out of range of the spell or would the model that the pulse originates from heal the 1 WD? Thanks
  2. swinedash is a push, I believe push effects do not allow melee strikes to end the modles activation.
  3. another problem is if i remember the card right the crit with rams is only on the sword not the second hand pistol. I like to poke them with the nurse with the +2 walk / +2 Charge and the +2 cb with melee and then give them reactivate, then voodoo doll, zorada (summon new doll) across the board or instead of reactivate give them cant die and push them out into them so they know its going to hit with 4:+fate the flip :violin:too bad your limited to only get + 3:+fate, that and you cant get the +3 for your family till you activate but then you get your base 11 to hit!
  4. I would like to see the question of the dreamers ability to remove rarity from Teddies be address while buried. As I see it with out the dreamer in play the Teddies have Rarity 1, just as a Nef lists can't grow into more then two mature in play at any one time, how is the dreamers ability affecting Teddies when he is not in play?
  5. Yeah new voodoo doll not companioned. Wait activate dolly obey again, go boom if they engage him or charge him on towards his target. I just dont see anywhere that pain killers works like stitched does not die goofy nonsense. And that's why I posted my question to get an answer. while he takes the wounds from take ya all with me it does not kill him, shrug off would kill him. or would he just smolder into dust and not trigger?

Ok forget the massive does for Speed, i can obey him into position. voodoo doll obeys moves him 8 inches zoraida summons new voodoo doll 6 inches away and obeys him 8 inches further, new voodoo doll (only 10 inches away from him) obeys should get me just the right position Then activate him and just casts "Take ya With Me!". 2 times then shrug off the pain killers. Would that let him go boom? or would he have one wound, i dont see anything that says he would be at one wound, and I dont see anything that would say that the shrug off killed him not the take ya with me
  7. So trying a new Master with Zoraida and playing with mixed factions. If i use the Nurse to Massive doses Papa Loco, with Painkillers He is cannot be killed. Then another massive does for Speed, he gains reactivate. Then Papa moves up and casts "Take ya With Me!". Then reactivates and casts it again. he would be at 0 wounds but just not die. Then Cast it again since it will not kill him. then as a 0 action cats shrug off and end Painkillers effect would he go BoOM? Boom does not activate if this model is killed by this "Take ya With Me!" But Shrug off would let him die from 0 wounds would he boom?

  9. I know it has been asked before but i could not find a thread that answered any questions, If it was answered My searching was flawed. If i run desperate mercs, with a witchling, afterh the merc activates for my family and goes bounding in to the enemy, can i walk up and dispel for my family after but before the end of the start phase so he is not sacrificed? I see it as an effect with the +3 in duels and positive flips, but if it is dispelled then then that same effect that sacs him would not be in play at the end of the turn he would and live to cost me a soulstone?
  10. if the target gets +1 def, I read that as plus to its DF, but if the resist is WP they would not get the bonus please let me know if this is correct or not.
  11. If the spell turns the model insignificant can you use a witchling stalker to dispel magic to remove the effect? I see being given insignificant characteristic as an effect of a spell or ability, yet one argument is it is a characteristic of a model not an effect. (1) Dispel Magic (CC: 13/Rst: Df /Rg: 12) Discard 1 Counter or end 1 effect on target model. Wounds on the model or Counters carried by the model cannot be discarded.
  12. Nicodem: When Decay targets a friendly undead, is there still a damage flip and blast markers? As I read the rules there are a few issues with that spell, please correct me if i am wrong. It is a ranged spell so if the model is obscured it is a negative twist to Cast just as a ranged attack is negative, If the model is in melee with other models after successfully passing the Casting Duel you still need to check what model is hit. Flipping for each model the target is in melee with. If it hits an enemy model they resist the CA Total, If it hits your model since it is a WP resist as a friendly model you can choose to not resist and you do not burn another card from the deck and just take the weak damage (if undead healing 2) Or choose to resist the spell and flip a card for the resist if the model then fails to resist you apply the possitive or negative flips to damage(then I tend to cheat that resist down with a low card in my hand to cause a sever hit in order to counter the Hard to wound most models I run have) then if the damage flip is neutral or positive you can cheat to get the blast effects wounding others around yours while healing your own. But there have been several mild changes to the game since I picked up my first rule book

I guess my question should be its own thread, but if an enemy model is effected by Incite, it must be the next model the opponent activates, however if it is also affected by persistent distraction it may not activate until all other models not effected by persistent distraction. What happens? as long as one of his models are out side the persistent, he has no valid models to activate. At what point can he activate another model?

Not sure how well it would work for a display but I point out that it is mini game that is on a small scale, with starter armies easy to pick up and play, but that the story line that goes with it adds a darker flavor to the game then the others, and then point out my favorite line from the Game Designer Notes on the first book and let them read it "There is no problem in Malifaux you cant fix by throwing a few dead hookers at" (don't have my copy with me sorry for the paraphrase), and then just hand them Seamus's box. They either balk and are offended and probably wouldn't play any way or interested and look at the other factions available. But I will admit I haven't Put that up as a sign over the Malifaux display (Yet)

This is the only thread i could find that starts to address this question, If i have Pandora companion with Poltergeist, and then Activate Pandora and Successful cast incite a opponents Model and choose not to take the Incite action again, that model must now activate next in that crew, but then activating the Poltergeist it moves up and places that model in Persistent Distraction (the book i looked at shows no resist to the aura, and unfortunately i don't have a V2 Card for Poltergeist, so this is a bit from memory) Aura, what happens? that model must activate next, but can not activate until all other models outside the aura have activated?
