So David, as the winner of the tournament, what were your thoughts on it?

I have many thoughts on the event. I had some issues with the terrain, while the clips have lots of potential, there were no woods, there was not a good mix to the tables. There was also a lack of the strategies that encourage players to take crews to meet them.

Round 1 : was turf war, go stand over there, and kill enough of them to do so. You don't have to waste ap to interact with things, or send people off to do what needs to be done. Round two with treasure hunt, requires a crew that can interact and be fast, i really like this mission. Round 3 was claim jump, so same as round 1, just be somewhere at the end of the game, but you don't have a real goal, and round 4 was recon so stand in different places. 3 of the strategies required you to kill the other crew to get the most points, you didn't have to find a balance between what your crew does, so the dreamer who is both a support piece and a beater gets to do all the work, and is favors the dreamer.

If i had to split up to mark evidence or destroy it, the dreamer (still good) has to spend ap to get people in place, instead of just making other people dead.

I liked the event, (it might be because i won it) because there were some good players, a large crowd and a good mix of factions. I wish the terrain was better mixed, the missions were more diverse to encourage using different masters to accomplish different things. Also would of been better if everyone was not tired, and if we all played the best we could, and not just a game of mistakes.

any other questions.

TLDR - was a good time wished there was a better mix of missions, and terrain

Didn't get to play in any of the tournaments due to the painting restrictions. Just didn't get the miniatures done in time for GenCon. Did watch a decent chunk of the masters and enjoyed what I saw. Going to be a little while though for the field to widen with experience and very serious competitive play. Same went for most other games when they were in their infancy.

Grats on the Masters win Bunniegodd.

Thanks for the info David, definitely some things I am going to consider for Adepticon.

I already told Drew he needs to drag you along so we can have the Gencon champion defend his title. :)

You need to bother Zee, he is the one that drags me to places. I will see what i can do, i heard your events were grand, and with help of people like you it is likely we can make these large events very competitive, and grow the scene.

"But Dan was a great sport about it, and he gave me some good pointers afterwards."

My name is david, but i think everyone who talked to me got it wrong that weekend.

LOL, so sorry man. Somebody else already pointed out my goof in another thread. At least now that I've screwed it up several times, I'll be more likely to remember the correct one. :)

Thats okay when everyone said Dan I though maybe I just somehow became unstuck in time and space and was actually at the con under an assumed forum name. I could see myself totally winning the Masters. But then I realized I would have been playing Neverborn and snapped out of my day dream.

I think it was simply the confusion for me between Dan Weber (Keltheos) and David Webster (bunniegodd). Must've thought they were both Dans at some point.
