  1. Just got it in the mail last night So many models and good quality boards/counters. The game will have more tactics and strategy when expansions are put out. It's nice that the "Overlord" and the hero's get to pick who they want to play (not limited to a scenario like Hero Quest). Granted the Overlord is kind of stuck with the box for now, but Koopas and other baddies are on the way. Now on to painting......
  2. Yeah I'm playing in the Big Brawl. Even if I wasn't though the fact that the quailfier goes till 2am and Warhammer Champs starts at 8am and is a 14 hour tournament would put me unable also. You win again time, damn you!
  3. Yeah I'm sure you will be able to find a pick up game, but I like tournements. I would love to play in the finals the only problem I have is that I will be playing Warhammer on Fri and Sat (so I will be unable to qualify). I have been working on my Warhammer army for almost 6 months now and plan on doing fairly well at Champs. Unfortunately I will probably just play in the Stupor Bowl or Warhammer Team Champs then Please don't see this as a complaint or anything. Just perturbed because of my own scheduling conflicts. Thanks for all your effort Nilus Glad to see Malifaux at Adepticon.
  4. Zee was the one running that tournament. I got 3rd Outcasts and 1st and 2nd were Neverborn. I don't think Arcanists were in the top 10. Zee did well with Ramos at a east coast tournament.
  5. Well people use her to heal the Viks or others. Since Vik can allow the other to get hit with the heal also you can double up. The problem I have with the Librarian is it is super fragile. At DF 3 and WD 6 it is pretty much a strike away from death always. Personally that is why I take max soul stones. Use those to heal/prevent damage. It doesn't cost you actions either to prevent. If you are running the librarian a good player will just make sure to kill it or any model that it could heal when attacking (instead of just damaging them). For 7 stones you could have another ronin and a desperate merc or 1 more stone and you can have Taylor. Both of those are awesome choices. Many people disagree with me about why the librarian is bad but having run her many times and playing the Viks almost exclusively at tournaments for the last 2 years (ask Nilus) those are my findings. Just remember Viks are fragile masters and are prone to dying that is why you can make more (not always the right choice to sac a ronin though).
  6. I will toss my usual list in also. 0 Viks 3 Student of Conflict 9 Von Schill 5 Convict Gunslinger 10 2x Ronin 27 Soul Stones 8 Pool This list can play the run forward and kill or wait and shoot. With 3 people with use soulstone 8 will go pretty fast. Some people don't like the student but there are many tricks he can do. Giving a gunslinger fast is one of them (move+rapid fire=win).
  7. Yeah let it soak for as long as you are able. The longer the easier it will be to get the paint off. Best bet is to soak overnight wipe/scrub off the paint you can the next day with ease, then toss them back in for another day to get the stubborn stuff a little easier. An old toothbrush helps a lot. Also it wont hurt your models metal or plastic. I have left plastic in it for months and it was fine.
  8. Gunslinger, Taylor and Misaki are great. Bonus is they are fun to paint also
  9. That list looks much better. Just remember if you end up getting a mission like treasure hunt the student of conflict will help a lot in that one. Being able to tweak your list after you know your opponent and mission is one of the great things of this game.
  10. I play quite a bit of Vik (with VonSchill) and here are my suggestions. Since you have 3 guys that can use soul stones you should try to get as close to max as able. They are essential to keeping Vik alive and making sure she always wins combat. Also Von will rock alot of models with a stoned pistol shot. Vik's avatar is really bad. I think she is a much more powerful model as two masters. Also if you like to control your models the avatar totally cuddles that. You should run a convict gunslinger. He is the best model in the game for his points. At 5 points he is the steal of the decade. Also Ronin are great for your list. They are great models, cheap, kill stuff, super tricky with run through and if you need more stones they are more then happy to commit seppeku. Not to mention can creat another Vik if needed. Alot of people like the librarian but I don't really care for models that are fragile and really don't do much by themselves. For her points you could take Taylor if construct killing or high willpower are needed (not to mention she is a tank). He is a example of my standard list: Vik's Student of Conflict (3) Von Schill (9) 2 Ronin (2x5) Convict Gunslinger (5) 8 soul stone pool (if you think Taylor would be needed drop a ronin and student) I have used this list to great effect. The key to Vik is using the combat buff then movement pulls and switch. Also if they cluster together use your whirlwind to murder them all. You will be outnumbered most of the time but, with so many stones 3 of your models are very hard to kill/able to alpha strike. Just my thoughts
  11. Still missing a lot of info. C'mon throw me bone . Even if it is small like the factions that won above/below you. Thanks for all the help already given.
  12. What factions did you use for the events?
  13. Dixon played Dave last round. All the people who lost at the top three tables got bumped to below third (my breakers were good). Cool I didn't realize that that was the Kirai crew that won on Sat.
  14. Well after waiting for a couple of weeks to see the winners posted I figured I would start the same thread I did last year so we could get these compiled. I will post what info I know. 15. Any clue what time this will be over? Also how many rounds?
  16. Bottom right hand corner will have a V2.
  17. I managed to squeak out 3rd with the Vik's. A first round loss made me play pretty tight the rest of the tourney. But over all 4 great games vs 4 great opponents.
  18. Put me down. What is the ruling on using models not out yet?
  19. They sold out way 2 fast (ironic I know). Any chance at more/upping the amount of people allowed?
  20. I just cut out one of the dividers in the small slots to make a medium slot. 2 small slots together hold almost any 40mm guy. That makes the bag a lot better. Though I still have 2 rows of the small slots for spiders, molemen and such.
