My reading of the rules has always been that you can hex off a weapon talent (eg. paired from a convict gunslinger, to take a simple example), but you can't remove their ability to actually use that weapon.

Where it gets foggy is removing weapon talents that are integral to explaining how the weapon works, like with suppressed memories on Jack Daw. In that case, I assume the weapon can no longer be used since the rules for using it are now ignored.

But if weapons are classed as talents then i can't see the reason why they can't be hexed (fluff wise you would hex out there knowledge of using them).

Ok it would be a bit mean to do it but in Theory it can be done.

Weapon Abilities are Talents not the Weapon itself.

So, no you cannot Hex away a model's Weapon Entry.
