Victoria
I actually play in Lincoln at Gauntlet Games, we usually have players on Tuesdays and Saturdays, though I have been too occupied with other stuff to play recently.
bowchikawowers
oh... I don't go to Lincoln very often... will soon though... Starting November I'll be in a Lincoln NG unit... my unit in GI is being disbanded. :/ I won't miss the drive... I will miss the unit.

bowchikawowers
National guard. Which of course means I won't be able to game while I'm in Lincoln... since y'know... I'll be on duty.. probably sitting around waiting for someone to tell me what to do... That's the downside of finishing the work I'm given quickly. LordZombie
Well then, looks my group and me will have to get you trained in the fine arts of Malifaux before you leave. The Lincoln players are pretty hardcore. Still need to have a Lincoln versus Omaha event some time.

edonil
Oh boohoo. :-P Our closest other community is 77 miles. If we can manage it, so can you guys. Run events quarterly, switch off.
Jonas Albrecht
Inter-town rivalry Story Encounter? Sounds good to me! That reminds me, I need to start designing a Night Vale contract town board.
LordZombie
We reaaaaally wanted to get some of us together for a Lincoln vs. Omaha tournament... but neither city is willing to drive to the other one I am sure I can get my group to go to Lincoln for a story encounter. You are right, it is only a 40 minute drive. You store is a much better place for an event than mine. It would be nice to pack the game room again with Malifaux players. bowchikawowers
That would be fun! I'm too new to it to feel comfortable playing in something like that, but I'd happily watch! And yes, it's only about 45 50 minutes from where I live to Lincoln. Very doable.
Victoria
We had 12 for our grow league, it wasn't too bad of a turnout. I would adore hosting a story encounter. I'll talk to my store this saturday when I go in What sort of date would you like to look at?
bowchikawowers
ah, no Ed. And from what other soldiers are telling me they probably never will. I'll wind up staying my full 6 years. >.<
edonil
Depending on how much time you have to play between now and then, it's quite possibly you'd be able to play, Chris. Some of the players in the Gencon Story Encounters were playing their first ever games of Malifaux. I know I want to run a SE event in October, to let the new rules actually hit shelves. Victoria
Bow, we have players of ALL skill levels! And if you never play, you'll never get better... plus... story encounters are just fun!
edonil
How'd you go about doing your grow league, Victoria? That sounds like an excellent thing for me to try out if Saturday's meeting with the new LGS goes well. (crosses fingers)
Victoria
Actually... I was thinking of the wrong thing. We had like 14 in the grow league, but it was a while ago. We had 12 in our campaign, which was the last thing that we ran and then ended it with a tournament. The grow league, as I recall, started out at 10 SS, then every week added 5SS for hiring. It was fixed faction. Pairings were posted on the same day of the week, and you had a week to find time to play with your opponent, or concede. LordZombie
Very true, story encounters are a little different that a normal event. Normally they are way more fun that WAAC. So are you taking over as the henchmen for your store, Victoria? Also, 12 people. I wish I could get 12 people in an event. I had 19 once. The place was packed. Then again, I seemed to have picked up 3 new players last Saturday (including Bow, who is part of the Omaha group..for now)
edonil
Hmm...might have to try a grow league once the first five starter sets hit the shelves. Hey now, I deserve some of the credit for getting her into the game, lol.

Victoria
Oh, no... I'm not a henchman. I'd like to be, but I'm just not a rule encyclopedia. I've got enthusiasm, though! I've been thinking about applying. But we've already got two henchmen in Lincoln.
