Boshea
I remember Mako and/or Ed wanted to know when any Mecha art went up for Raging Heroes. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/loudnraging/raging-heroes-the-toughest-girls-of-the-galaxy/posts/503469 Jailbird Mecha has been revealed, and the other two will be a different style from it. LonelyPath
That Jailbird Mecha looks good. Looks more like a Penitent Engine than the one GW released, phaw good stuff! Raging Heroes do make some lovely models though, might be high time I invested in some! Well time here has been spent painting zombies, more survivors, another Nemesis Dreadknight, 10 more Deathwing, 2 Inquisitors, 5 Grey Knight terminators, a Watcher in the Dark and some other things. 9 zombies and 4 survivors on my painting tray right now and after that it's the turn of the Oiran (so Colette doesn't feel left out after me painting lots of minis and none of them being for her). And now to the Ale Monolith!!!
Mako
Ooh. That's a big clanking piece. Nice. Hey path, tons of progress as usual! How's things?
bowchikawowers
Hullo. How is everyone? I feel like I've been run over by a truck, shoveled In the back and run through a meat grinder. Best part? Pt test tomorrow! The warmup we were doing before prt today left me feeling like I was going to pass out. Tomorrow is going to be fun. ---------- Post added at 08:28 AM ---------- Previous post was at 08:19 AM ---------- What's watcher in the dark, path? Sounds interesting. Also difficult to sculpt since its in the dark... How does one sculpt "dark"? ---------- Post added at 08:31 AM ---------- Previous post was at 08:28 AM ---------- I suppose you could sculpt a couple of rocks leaning agains each other and leave it solid underneath with a vague shape sort of visible... I'm okay, working on getting things cleaned up at home. Sister is showing up tonight. Oh, and somewhat related- group is at 9pm EST again because of aforementioned sister. Mako
9pm? Ooh, I get time to cook again. Now, if only I'd remembered to take meat out the freezer...
bowchikawowers
You still have time to let it thaw. Set it out for a while instead of putting it in the fridge
Mako
Ick, not in my shared kitchen. It wouldn't be safe to eat by 6pm, even cooked...
Webmonkey
damn it!! went to go put some primer on the waist section of my kit,.. but apparently the humidity sucks right now,.. the primer is doing that "fuzzy" thing. Now I have to sand it all off and try again later. *frowny-face*
Mister Monkey
Stupid humidity.....
Mako
Ah, that sucks! And they were such a lovely pair of buttocks, from what I saw on your thread :-P
Webmonkey
at least I'm not the only person this phenomenon seems to happen to *grin*
Mister Monkey
Have you tried priming in the fridge? No humidity there *grin*
Webmonkey
perhaps,.. but I'd likely choke on all the fumes if I closed myself in there. (plus the food would start to spoil). Though,.. I guess it would finally answer the question of "does the fridge light actually go out when you close the door"??
Mister Monkey
It cant go out! The food would get scared....
Webmonkey
Alright,.. I think I've out-witted the humidity. An upside down spray can seems to do the trick.
Mako
Just make sure you aren't aiming it bAckward too...
Webmonkey
*grin*,.. is that why I can't see real well?? I thought that maybe it was just a bit foggy today,...
Mako
Heh, if you come to the session tonight looking like a very bad racist parody, I'll know why! Also, I'll laugh at you making that mistake. A lot.
Mister Monkey
Ha see science wins out, by holding the spray can upside down it is tricked into thinking it is in NZ where there is no humidity....... right *grin*
Webmonkey
so then, 5 prime and sand sessions later, I think I have it mostly where I want it,.. and the majority of the visable imperfections sanded out and smoothed over. Now, just to let it and dry for a short bit, and then, on to airbrushing!!! In the meantime though,.. I think lunch may well be in order,.. Mako
Mmm, lunch. I've decided to resort to subway this evening. Takes less time than cooking and there's stuff I want to get done. That, and I'm an idiot who forgets to defrost stuff to cook...
